SOUTH SLOPE WOODWORKS

Initially co. owner seemed nice. He was to file project with Landmark Commission. A proposed project often takes long so we continually followed up with Nate who assured us that it just takes time. We found out that he had not filed when he said he did. Then when project was approved and doors were ready for install, we noticed missing kick plates a few days before new doors were to go in. I assumed they would be reused. Turns out plates were simply taken. Who took them? We don't know. Nate denied knowledge of plate whereabouts and suggested we ask super. Doors installed with wrong hardware. He was impolite about this and essentially said "client chose them." Existing closer not right for new doors. Door wood finish not holding up well. Door wood not particularly nice. We should have chosen someone else. Not a nice guy and and the quality is pretty bad. He does big projects and probably does a good job. I am still furious with his guy. Just an awful person. Yes, we paid him Just to make it all go away. In his defense, the property mgmt. co we had at the time may have "done him wrong." The doors are ugly. And the co. Owner was defensive and dishonest.
