I discovered Mr. Jackson when I was looking for someone to restore and repair several pieces of Asian furniture. He turned out to be a tremendous find. He was very prompt in returning my call, and set up an on-site visit to evaluate the job and give me an estimate. It was very apparent that he loved what he did and knew a great deal about Japanese cabinetry and antiques. Within a week or so, he had found the materials he needed to start the restoration and repair work, and came onsite to work on the furniture. He was thorough, efficient, and used traditional Japanese carpentry techniques to do the repair work. After several hours, he left his work to dry and set, overnight. He returned the following week to complete the work. He had diligently tracked down an exact match for the wood needed for my cabinet and also used wood from other antique frames that he had in his own collection to craft a set of doors that looked as good as they did when I first bought the item. The finished cabinets were beautiful and my husband and I still can't believe how lucky we are to have found Mr. Jackson. His final bill to us was very, very reasonable especially given the amount of hand crafting and attention to detail that went into the restoration. I can't recommend Mr. Jackson highly enough. He is an old fashioned craftsmen who does beautiful work.
