The dry out itself was good, the people were very nice and came back the next day. But I did have a major issue in which they were not very ethical. In order to do the dry out, they unplugged my freezer and didn't tell me, causing several expensive meats and food to spoil. Unfortunately they refused to reimburse me for the loss.
Description of Work: They did a dry out of the basement and first floor after I had flooding.

Mrs. [Member Name Removed] had informed us that her freezer had defrosted due to the extension cord being left unplugged for a few hours. When we returned to the home, the freezer was on and the items were frozen. Mrs. [Member Name Removed] told us that the food was not edible due to the defrosting. We spoke with the insurance company, as well as the insured and asked for any receipts for these items. We were not given any receipts or an itemized list, only a ballpark figure of $1000+. We pride ourselves on taking care of our customers and responding quickly to any issues that may arise. We would gladly reimburse Mrs. [Member Name Removed] once we were given any receipts for the damaged items. items

We discovered the sewage water on a Sunday. We managed to get a plumber out to fix it. That company offered clean-up services, but they quoted $5,000 and asked a few too many questions about our insurance coverage. After checking the reviews here I called Servpro Sunday night. Robert called and said he would have a crew at our house the next morning to give us a quote and, if acceptable, start work. Because the floor was glued down, it was taking a little longer than they had anticipated, but they finished the next day. They returned a few days later to collect their fans. After being very upset to find our basement ruined with sewage water, it was great to know it was cleaned out and disinfected properly so we can turn to repairing it knowing there are no problems lurking.
Description of Work: Our sewer line got blocked and by the time we discovered it, there was water a few inches deep in our finished basement. They cleaned up the mess, including tearing up glued-down laminate flooring, cutting out the bottom two feet of drywall, removing insulation from the lowest part of the walls, removing all debris, and leaving behind industrial fans to dry out everything.

Robert was very pleasant to work with, as were all his employees. They were very sympathetic to all our needs and were determined to get us as dry as possible without having to rip out more than was necessary. The damage on the first floor included a kitchen, a spiral staircase well, a library room with floor to ceiling bookcases, and two closets as well as another back room that had a little less water damage. They crew went out of their way to do things according to our needs, such as, removing the wall in the other room, behind the bookcases from the other side, so that they would not have to be moved yet. The humidifiers and other equipment was used to heat up the house for a number of days to about 100 degrees. The workmen also used an anti-mold cleaner on all the wood and studs that were exposed after sheetrock, baseboards, and the bottoms of door moldings were removed. It had a very mild smell, which, we were worried about since we are chemically sensitive. All was fine with that. The ceiling was soaked in our basement room, and it had to be entirely removed. The crew was very careful with the murals, and they listened to us when we had suggestions or comments. Robert left the equipment in our house longer than he usually would have, since they all were trying very hard to save our faux painting and murals, and, they did. The flood of course was a miserable time for us, but, having Robert guide us through a very hard time was comforting. They were all excellent!
Description of Work: We had a broken water supply line on a first floor toilet, running for 2 days while we were out of town. Robert and his crew had rip out a lot of sheetrock, to dry the house out completely throughout the first floor and basement, which included a finished room with faux painting and murals. They brought in several large dehumidifiers and drying mats, as well as an electrician to switch over our electric from a third floor to the basement, to make sure there was enough power for all the equipment. They were on the premises for over a week, until the job was done.

We had a flood caused my a broken pipe. We have a large 3 story Victorian home, with a full basement. The water started on the 3rd floor and worked its way all the way down. There was a lot of water in the walls, ceilings and floors. Servpro had 7 men here within a few hours and began the drying out process. There were multiple blowers and dehumidifiers placed all through the house. Robert came every day to check the status of the drying, and removed whatever equipment that was no longer needed. They were courteous, did everything that needed to be done, and cleaned up afterwards. Robert Allen answered all my phone calls promptly, and took care of whatever needed to be done. I would use them again without hesitation.
Description of Work: Servpro tested for water and dampness in all affected areas. Walls and ceilings were opened. Blowers and dehumidifiers were placed wherever needed. Robert checked every day to check the progress, Rugs were lifted and debris was removed.
