Said he would come within an hour of calling. Came three hours later. Looked at the house and said he doesn't like working near electric wires. I explained that the wiring was safe, Con Ed had come and fixed it weeks ago. Every house has wiring on the outside, that's how they are powered so it was a stupid excuse to not be willing to perform a service you advertise.

I cannot recommend Rahat Construction highly enough. Kazi came to our house to talk about the work, explained what he thought needed doing and why, and sent us a quote within a couple of hours. From that point on, he was incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with. The pricing was very reasonable, and now that the work is done, we know we received an excellent value. On the first day of the job, he came with his crew to supervise the work and make sure they knew the plan. They arrived at exactly 8am every day from that point on, and they were incredibly thorough and efficient. Our basement is totally transformed, and the exterior work looks great too. It was a real pleasure working with Rahat Construction, and we are looking forward to working with them again soon.

This was the second time we've hired Rahat Construction, and once again, we are delighted. They are honest, friendly, and considerate. They get to work when they say they will, and do a nice job carefully and in good time. The workers are always considerate and a pleasure to have around. Highly recommend.

Kazi has done a lot of work around our house over the past few years and all of it has been excellent overall: great prices, prompt and thorough service, great results. He just finished the bathroom and hallway projects so it's important to emphasize that he and his associates scrupulously followed heath guidelines while working in our building (i.e. masks and gloves). We will be recommending Kazi's work to others.

The work was beautiful at the end! I was pleasantly surprised at how seamlessly Mr. Ismail made the entire process. He provided me a detailed work proposal, then work contract, that detailed all the steps that would be taken in order to complete the project, along with the time frame and price breakdown. The work was done 2 days before he said it would take to be completed and he also provided a payment plan that made it so much more convenient! Would definitely hire again and would recommend to anyone that needs any remodeling work done to their home.

Kazi had done work for me before and I contacted him to get an estimate and start date. He gave me the price and I asked to pay on 3 installments and he said okay. He gave me dates that he could start and I chose later date based on availability. The day before I contacted him to confirm start. He didn’t call me back. I kept calling and texting and once he picked up and said he would call me back but never did. That was the week of December 17. Still no calls or follow up. This was disappointing as I thought he was professional enough to just say he was too busy to take my job or it was too small or that he didn’t want payment in installments. This made him unreliable for me!

I’m so pleased and very happy with their work and most importantly his honesty. They completed and clean up afterwards as their contract had started . I would use them again and recommend everyone I know. Thanks again!

I am very pleased with the quality of work given by Rahat Construction. All work wanted and expected is discussed up front and very professionally put into a contract. Then it is done just as discussed. All workers are respectful and qualified. They always leave the working area clean. And last but not least, I have a bathroom that looks like it is an "after" picture from HGTV. This is my second time working with Rahat Construction. You will not be disappointed. I will call on Rahat again.

The workers cleaned up when they finished. along with Kashi's guidance I now have a beautiful basement and toilet. We will definitely be calling them again, for our next project.

This is a follow-up to a review submitted October 19, 2018 the of excellent work of Rahat owner Kazi Ismail and his crew performed on rebuilding our back steps, and other work in the back of our of property. We were so impressed we immediately contracted him to tackle a far greater challenge: our crumbling front patio and stairs, retaining walls, fencing, and front entrance. The before and after pictures shown here tell the story better and any words we can add. As we mentioned before, Kazi’s principal aim is to make your home the most envied on the block. Not the gaudiest or flashiest, but the most balanced, functional and tastefully balanced. His suggestions for all the materials - brick, iron, and granite - makes for a truly pleasing, harmonious overall impression. After succeeding beyond our highest expectations at this task, we decided to go the distance for a total exterior renovation and contracted Kazi this year to replace our siding and window framing. (When his started removing the old siding, we were amazed to find out there was no installation over the original wood of our 120-year-old house! Our heating bills will be much lower this Winter). We would strongly advise homeowners to give great weight to Kazi’s design suggestions. It is often hard to select the options for materials he presents you with because they all would work. For the cornice and the front door overhang, Kazi found just right pieces that give the house that historical look that prior owners covered up or removed. As mentioned before, Kazi’s crew is excellent, hard working in any weather, prompt and overall pleasant to have around. Most important, we have never felt his estimates were inflated beyond expectation and was never surprised by overruns or other ‘surprises’. He will re-do any work that he isn’t totally satisfied with. Finally, as a testament to our good judgment and trust in Rahat, when all the work was finished, we’ve have had dozens of people (neighbors and strangers) walk by the house, stop and tell us how beautiful it looks!

Kazi’s team painted the exterior or our house, repaired a bunch of concrete on our driveway, and built us a wooden fence around our yard. Throughout it all Kazi was great to work with. The front and back of our home were transformed in less than two weeks! His prices are great (lower than other contractors we’ve worked with) and his workers are very nice and respectful of your home. Kazi is very responsive and easy to talk to. It rained a bunch during our job which made it hard to finish on time, but Kazi was willing to work on the weekend, and bring in some extra guys, to get back on track. Most of all, Kazi really cares about his clients happiness with the work. We would definitely call him again.
