Everything went great and the tree fence looks wonderful.

Terrific! They were very professional and courteous. AND they provided the sketch that I needed for a permit for FREE! Another contractor wanted $750 extra for that!

Gaspar is GREAT! We needed a new railing for our front patio and stairs. Gaspar came over and right from the start I could tell this would be a great experience. Gasper called shortly after I contacted him. He was very nice over the phone. He directed me to his website to look at the different styles he made. He did mention starting prices, which I liked since these types of railings are quite pricey. After choosing a railing style, we set up an appt. and Gasper came out to take measurements and give us a price. Since the railing was going above our garage, he wanted to make me aware or railing height codes. Since we have little kids, this was very important. About two weeks after signing the contract, the railing was done, and the workers came to install the railing. They were very nice, and very careful to not damage the new bluestone patio. After they were done, it looked fantastic. Since they do some welding on site, they had to paint the weld points to match. A few hours after they left, I went out when the paint had dried and noticed that the railing wasn't as sturdy as I had hoped it would be. I called Gaspar and he was very sorry to hear this. The very next day the workers were back to add extra bracing. This was a great experience. Gaspar is a true example of what all contractors etc. should be. Professional, courteous, and have the willingness to go above and beyond to make a client happy. It was also great to see someone have such pride in his craft. It's pretty rare these days.

I am happy to be able to write a review about a business whose service truly exceeded my expectations. I called Piscopo Ironworks to obtain an estimate on ironwork and spoke to Gasper Nogara. He gave me a quote over the phone based on my description of what I wanted. I made an appointment with him to come to my home to take measurements. However, upon an actual site inspection, Gasper quoted a lower charge for the work. Who does that? On the day of installation Gasper called to provide an estimated time. I took him at his word and took care of some needed errands prior to his arrival. No wasted day here. True to his word he arrived promptly. He and another gentleman finished the job efficiently and quickly. It is good to know that there are people in whom you can still place your confidence when you need work to be done. I spoke to the representative on the phone and explained what I needed to be done. I also had to assure him that although I lived in Queens, I was not far from the Brooklyn border and easily accessible from highways. He promised to call back in 2 days to set up an appointment date, but he never did.

Although this contractor was really being strongly affected by Hurricane Sandy, he was extremely truthful. He was punctual. If he needed to reschedule he would ask if it was ok and we agreed on a time. He was extremely patient and he answered all of my questions. The work was excellent and I was very pleased. The workers were responsive. I think the cost of the job was fair. He installed a double window guard with one half stationary and one half with an access gate. This was done for three windows. Everyone was pleased.

Very smooth work was done in two days.

They are responsive and did what they said they were going to do.

We found this company on Angie's List and called them and two other companies. Gasper called back the same day and arranged a meeting for a few days later. He came out to take a look at what we needed and gave us a quote on the spot. We gave him a deposit two days later and the railing was completed (as well as primed) at his shop, and installed outside our house within a week and a half. The entire process was simple and fast.

This is the 2nd time that I am using this company. Gasper is very professional, courteous and retuns phone calls. I needed iron railing fencing on a rooftop terrace. I was on a tight schedule so I asked Gasper's if I could get the work faster than the turn around that he proposed without risking quality. He said he'd try but did not want to guarantee that he could meet my schedule. He delivered right on MY tight schedule. When his team arrived I was a little concerned since he was not there (the first time I used him he was there but that work included getting a very old iron door to work properly)..so I called him and he assured me that he had explained everything in detail to his guys, had made a drawing for them and if I had any concern I should call him. His team did a great job... I guess iron fences is their specialty and the boss is not needed...I am very happy with the work and that rooftop terrace looks gorgeous with those railings. The first time I used Gasper was to install iron handrails at the entrance of the brownstone and to fix a really old iron door. that project was smooth sailing as well. He proposed putting round handrails vs the usual flat ones so my dad could hold them more easily. I would not have thought of that and that makes a real difference. I also appreciated the fact that he fixed the door vs proposing that I replace it... Yes it is 'old' but now it has never worked better. He also took the time to simply and clearly explain how he proposed to to fix it which I appreciated. That first job was for $2,500($1,000 per iron handrail and $500 for the door.) So defintely recommend and I would use again.

Gaspar called me back right away, and didnt drop the ball even with some phone tag. He was polite, prompt and efficient.His estimate was accurate and reasonable. He told me where I could buy salvaged Iron gate that would fit the historical landmark zoning. The job was performed in a timely fashion. They cleaned up after they were finished

When I first spoke to Gasper, I told him what I needed done and he said that he could come out and take a look but he wouldn't be in the office the following day (Wednesday) and that he would call me back on the Thursday or Friday. He called me first thing Friday morning asking for my address so he could come out and take a look. I called back and left a message with my address but didn't hear back from him that day. He called me back on the following Tuesday (that's the only reason I gave a B on responsiveness... otherwise, he always responded quickly) and gave me a price quote which I thought was reasonable. He was honest and said he wouldn't be able to do the work until the following week but then called me back the next day and said he would be able to squeeze me in since he would be in the neighborhood which I was thrilled about because I really needed to get this taken care of. I would definitely recommend Gasper! He was very professional and seemed like a genuinely nice guy looking to help out.

My elderly mother required a hand railing on the outside steps (stoop) leading to the front door. I contacted Piscopo Iron Works and spoke with Gasper. Gasper took my preliminary information and gave me a general cost estimate with the caveat that it could change after he visited the site and took proper measurements. From the start, Gasper of Piscopo Iron Works was a delight to work with. He was accommodating in that all our business was conducted over the phone or via email. I live in Washington, DC and Piscopo Iron Works is in Brooklyn where I needed the work performed. Gasper visited the site where the job was to be performed in order to give me an accurate estimate. Although his revised estimate was a bit higher than originally discussed, it was understandable because this original estimate was based on my own description of job. Gasper suggested a second visit to the site so that he could take a height measurement with my mother present so that the railings would be ergonomically correct. With that accomplished, installation was done within a few days as promised. Gasper was prompt in each of his appointments and always notified me when he was on site. Throughout the whole process, Gasper kept me informed via email or telephone and the job was completed in a quick and efficient manner. I waited to write this review until I personally inspected the work. I can honestly say, I am very pleased by the masterful job performed by Piscopo Iron Works. Gasper visited our home promptly after receiving our telephone call. After making the necessary measurements, he provided a quick reasonable estimate. The work was completed within 2 weeks after our order was placed. Gasper was very professional and reliable. The ironworks are beautiful. Great job!
