About us

Founded in 2007, NuBirth Contracting, Inc. is a growing yet very experienced, results oriented, general contractor with extensive qualifications in full-scale construction projects, property management and building maintenance. For us building isn't an act of cold 'construction' but one of devoted care and conscientious 'creation' . We do not just build high quality projects, through a labor of dedication and an honest love of our craft we give 'Birth' to them. The whole difference between construction and creation is exactly this: "That a thing constructed can only be loved after it is constructed; but a thing created is loved before it exists." Charles Dickens

Response from NuBirth Contracting, Inc.
Just a few facts from NuBirth Contracting about this review. The person that wrote it is the architect on record for this job. She was hired to design and monitor the renovation. She did not accept this companies contract or agreements from our attorney and suggested the use of an AIA contract. This had a clause in it to make progress payments as the stages of the work were competed. We met every two weeks or so and she would make suggestions to the owners as to the percentages of the completed work that should be paid. She recommend the amounts and even made suggestions as to the overall estimate of the project. Where we made mistake other than working for this architect was accepting her estimates at face value. 2. The house was completely renovated and as any builder would agree in the event of older houses windows are not to be measured before the old ones are removed and framed. Then at this point you make your decision on sizes but as this architect informed me on several occasions " You are just a contractor, don't you know how to read plan?" I emailed and informed both the owner and the architect that we would have differences in sizes and there would be the need for capping. I have responses from both instructing me to install the new windows and then we would cap them from the exterior. I did as I was told and here I am the getting this terrible review. All they have to do is remove the old cement stucco from the exterior frame, re frame the area and cap. 3. The architect is correct we did not finish on time, she forgot to mention that we (the GC for this job) received 17 change orders of which 11 were given to us by the owners in the last two months of this project. Oh and by the way 10 of them have not been paid for. 4. We can go on explaining all the work that we did when the weather was not to cooperative with us but that wont help. So here are a few questions for this architect. If you were in charge of this project shouldn't you have made better assessments about the different stages of this project? Why would you pay a contractor for work that now you claim is not up to your standards? Why would you tell the owners that NuBirth Contracting Inc completed 151,000.00 by the eighth payment if we still had items that were not right with your inspections? I never asked for payments when they were not due. I actually waited in two occasion for more then 6 weeks for payment? Instead of going the easy way out of always making the contractor look bad, why not admit you made a mistake and admit your estimate to complete this entire house renovation was wrong. I told the owners several times but you kept saying no! I don't claim to be the best contractor in the industry, but I have been in this business for 15 years and have certifications from DOB, EPA, Consumer Affairs and we have earned an MBE Certification from the City of New York. We were recommended to your client and continue to work for your clients neighbors even after you and your clients have bad month my company and employees. NuBirth Contracting has completed 84 complete house and multiple apartment building renovations in the last 15 years. All in the state of New York. NuBirth Contracting is also a member of the Green Building Council. I understand that you are an Almighty prestigious Brooklyn Heights Architect but when you decide to write about companies please be honest and also address your own faults before you go public stating mine! In no way is NuBirth Contracting prefect, we do our best to service our clients as best as possible even when we have to take a lost. Our goal is to deliver the dream that the client has and not have problems with anyone.
