Description of Work: When I first called this company, I spoke to Michelle. She was so nice, she made me feel confident that all would go well. I was very specific in giving information regarding time constraints of co-op and condo rules. We went over each room and approximately how much material and furniture would have to be moved. I was given a price of approximately $1,200 that was to cover moving me out of one apartment, putting my belongings in storage for 1-2 weeks and moving into my new apartment. It did not cover boxes, tape etc. however, if these supplies were needed they would be available. I had her repeat the price and what was included and she reassured me that all the above would be covered by the quote given. A date was set and since it was confirmed with Michelle, I trusted that the date and time was set. However, someone called me the night before on my cell. I did not check my phone so I did not get the message that was to "schedule" the move for the following day. As a result, no one showed up and finger pointing began. The move had to be put off for the following day. Thankfully, it was not a weekend because no one is allowed to move in or out on a weekend or holiday. men were supposed to,arrive between 8-9 am. They did not show up until 10:30. When they did show up, the men complained about the building, it being small, parking etc. they went on to say that they are counting on tips since they get paid very little. Once work was under way, my husband and I helped carry boxes, roll up rugs, pack belongings that they were supposed to pack, broke down furniture etc. since it was hot and we were all working, we provided them with drinks and food. According to the contract, and one of them stipulations I made clear from the very beginning was that I had furniture that needed to be disassembled and reassembled. They were not able to do it. A manager, named John, came to the apartment to see what he could do. We were referred to someone who does this work but we had to pay an additional 200 dollars to cover this. In addition, we were told by management that we were going over the time allowed (5pm). We couldn't stop due to constraints. As a result, I was fined $200. Furthermore, we had to lay out several hundred dollars for materials that they did not have available. We went to the store and bought whatever bubble wrap, boxes etc. that we needed. We stopped at 7 pm and were still not finished. I had them stop, putting my husband and I in a position to break down the furniture that was left and pack about 30 boxes and move them ourselves, counting on relatives to,store them. When we needed to move in to our new apartment, my husband took a day off from work the Tuesday after Labor Day. The men never showed. We were told that they partied over the long weekend and started packing the truck late. We were also told that they did not have a truck big enough to accommodate our belongings. They promised to be over no later, than 3:00. This never happened. It forced me to take a day off from work the following day. Again, they showed up late with a small rental truck covered with graffiti. At that point, it was obvious that I was being charged fees that were not part of the original agreement e.g., an additional $800. The yelling, fingerprinting, calling me a cheat, nasty liar was just part of the interaction between me and management. I had no choice but to put the charge on my card. The information given here does not fully. Over all that took place, but they should not be able to get away with their horrible, unprofessional and disgusting treatment of others. When I spoke to my lawyer he felt that I should just walk away, to fight it wasn't worth even though I had a case. I would never use them again and would hate to see others go through the same experience. Please be aware however, that this company uses several different names. I only know of two, but know that there is another.
