On time, on schedule and ON BUDGET! This was definitely the fastest service I ever received from time of 1st call, visit, estimate, on time arrival of the crew and their departure when the job was complete. BRAVO!

They went beyond the contract to expand the wood floors into the built in closets. Richard was very responsive to fixing a dent in the ceiling created by the moving company after NY Floorman had completed the job

Richard returned my call promptly. He provided necessary paperwork for my building co-op mgt. The job was scheduled for the following week, exactly when I wanted it. The workers arrived promptly and were there from 9 am to 4 pm. They cleaned up and were very respectful of not making a huge mess. There were no problems. The floor looks great! The cost was high, in my opinion, but that was because it was really the minimum charge for any job. So, it would have been more cost effective had I been doing more rooms. However, this was the lowest of three quotes I received.

Good quality paint job NYC 2 BR apartment, reasonably priced. Came for quote right away, responded quickly to questions by email and phone, scheduled without delay and got the job done on time. Good service, no hassle. Would certainly use again.

The floor was beautiful, but was stained unevenly. During the year (it was laid last July 2012) the edges lifted and it took repeated calling and emailing to get the owner to come see the floor for himself. He first sent his foreman, Miguel, who took pictures, but reported that nothing was wrong! When Richard, the owner, finally saw it, he immediately admitted to the problems and promised to fix them this summer. So they came and re-sanded and re-stained. All looks good, except now the back hallway doesn't even come close to matching the new floor or the existing ones in the adjacent bedrooms. That had been the whole reason to sand and stain that hallway in the first place: so it would match! Now I am getting a great deal of push back from them to come and fix it. The problem with the whole experience is that Richard passes the job to his foreman, who shows up and introduces himself, but leaves as soon as you do and does not monitor the workers he leaves behind for quality. This same foreman is then loathe to admit to the owner that there is a problem, since it reflects on his lack of oversight. I get the feeling they have way too much business to handle and the smaller jobs, like mine, are given little to no thought or attention. After they did return and re-stain the back hall to my approval, the floor separated again over the winter...I now have large cracks between boards. I will not use them again.

They did a great job! The men worked very hard and the owner and foreman were very professional. After the carpet was removed we realized I needed 20 sq. ft. of flooring removed and replaced. Rich could have taken advantage of the fact that I had no wiggle room. His guys were already doing the work so any price he asked was going to have to be ok. He didn't though. He was extremely fair with the price. They left the premises neat and clean. The floor looks great. I would definitely use him again and would highly recommend this company.

Almost 2/3 finished. The 2 men working in my apartment are the nicest hardworking men. They did their best to keep what is a very dusty job contained. They are working diligently and are never on their phones. I had a hard time deciding on the color stain mix I wanted to go with and they could not have been more patient - mixing and then mixing and then mixing again. Waiting now for stain to go down, but so far very pleased. The owner Richard was very helpful from the first time I reached out to him. He told me about a product that can give me the color grey I wanted over my red oak. He answered many questions I had before he even came to give me a quote. I had a very tight schedule and could not delay my move in and Richard accommodated me right away. I am surprised there are not more reviews here. I did get a lot of quotes and he wasn't the cheapest, but he wasn't the highest either. 3 other local companies were 20% above him. He was by far the most responsive/reassuring.

He returned all calls promptly. His price was 20% less than anotehr bid we got. He moved all of the furniture for us. We left our house and when we came back the job was done and everything was put back in its place. There were no glitches. He did a great job.
