Punctual and completed the work within the agreed time frame. But the drywall installed are bumpy in places as enough coumpound was not used to cover the tapes

Muka Interiors gets my highest rating. They do superior work. Knowing nothing about the firm, I was a little nervous at first, but at every turn, Neshat and his skilled workers exceeded all my expectations. I live in a co-op, and Neshat came through with the appropriate insurance required by management. At all times during the project, Neshat was always responsive and kept me informed. Additionally, he offered a very fair price. They applied Green Glue soundproofing compound on drywall and then installed the drywall panels over two existing walls. Then they taped, plastered, sanded and painted the walls, also restoring properly the electrical outlets. The new walls are beautifully smooth. As for future projects, I have already engaged Muka Interiors to put down an engineered wood/click-lock floating floor and to do carpentry, crown/panel molding work in my apartment. It isn't often that you can give a full-fledged endorsement, but in this case, for Muka Interiors, without any reservation, I do. I am just that happy with their work, and thankful and glad, actually relieved, that I found them.

The work was shoddy. I had trim installed: the nail holes were filled sloppily with painters caulk. He could not figure out how to cut baseboard trim to fit around curved woodwork so he left a gap instead, along with an excuse. A 7 inch area of the floor slightly pitched, he did not trim the baseboard so now the top of the base board is now not level. I wanted 2 walls and a ceiling skim coated but they decided to patch areas instead. When I asked them to sand and prime the areas patched, they told me it would be extra. Odd to get excuses and reasons from the contractor on why they can't do a good job. In the end I was not even sure the job was finished because they left a bag of trash in the room. Unless you want to stand in the room to tell them exactly what to do and how to do it and then pay way to much for what you actually get.... I would skip Muka Interiors.

I had a ceiling that needed to be taken down and rebuilt because of a water problem upstairs. These people were a pleasure to work with. Mr. Muka came when he said he would, gave me a fair estimate, and he and his team did a beautiful job in a timely manner. I could not have asked for more. I hope I don't need them for the same problem, but would not hesitate to hire them again or recommend them to anyone who has a problem involving sheetrock.

The project began well. However, the original quotation for the complete job did not include required electrical work that should have been apparent on the initial visit. The project involved replacing walls and ceilings that were removed after a water leak caused damage. After a week he said I have to pay for the electric work additionally!!! This involved reinstalling ceiling fixtures that were removed and hanging from the ceiling! This was a $6K job and I feel the electrical quote should have been included initially to put the original fixtures back in ceiling. The work completed and customer service I received was excellent. I would hire this contractor again.

Nejat (?spelling) came exactly when he said he would, and there was only one small problem with the door fit. I feel this was due primarily to doing the cutouts in the basement of our co-op rather than in the apartment next to the door frame for easier double-checking (done to avoid dust, etc., as visitors arrived the same evening) and the fact that our 65 year old building has steel door frames with some non-standard dimensions! Overall, the work was very well done: 2 solid wood doors sized, hardware installed, and hung in 4 hours.

Hired Muka to swap my bathroom door. He showed up on time. Very friendly and personable. Finished job in about 1.5 hours. Door looks great. Charged me what he quoted on the phone which was appropriate in my opinion. Would definitely hire again in heartbeat. 5 stars all around.
