After a more thorough inspection, we discovered that the lift was in good condition and the problem was with the wiring connecting the lift to the electrical source, It only cost $175 to fix the problem. I am very happy that I sought out a different company.
Description of Work: I was having a difficult time opening and closing my garage door. At times it would work and then at other times it would freeze and never move, I called Manna & Sons for an evaluation and estimate. After a 1 minute inspection, I was told that I needed a new garage lift installed for $550.

+ -1 moreMade appointment for a few days after requested. Called on day of appointment and reported there would be a one day delay. Arrived the next day and performed installation quickly. The door is functioning well. Some of the wiring looks sub-optmal but functional. The cost seemed high considering the cost of the material was in the $200 range and the time spent was about one hour. Three other local companies cited the same price
Description of Work: Replaced motor, wired electric eye to prevent door descending when obstructed, two remote on checking controls, key panel to allow door opening by code.

+ 0 moreHIS WORK IS VERY GOOD. HE IS RELIABLE. HE IS JUST LACKING A LITTLE BED SIDE MANNER. I GUESS THAT IS REALLY NOT IMPORTANT. HE INSTALLED A WHOLE NEW WOOD DOOR FOR ME AS WELL AND THE WORK IS GREAT.
