He did very good. He was on time, professional, listens, approachable and easy to talk to.

They were really terrific. I would recommend them. He came several times to make sure this is what we needed. He tried very conservative repairs that did not work and said we really had to do this so he relined the whole flue and after it was done, he came back the following year free of charge to make sure it was still proper. He had to break through several interior walls. He broke through as little as possible. He did not make the kind of mess I thought that was going to be made that has to go through the roof to the cellar. He was very good.

I request an early morning apointment, They got there exactly on time, he was very professional. Concerning the work performed, he arrived on time, properly prepped the area, They inspected and cleaned both the fireplace and oil burner chimney and made sure that each chimney was in working order. After cleaning, they suggested cleaning the oil burner as well. We agreed. they left the area spotless. I couldn't be more pleased The cleanings cost 125 per chimney and was very nice he only charged $50 for the oil burner cleaning These guys were great. They were OnTime, professional and quick. I would use them again and recommend them  

It could have been a miserable experience but it wasn't. It was a three-day job in winter. Irwin came himself, with an assistant. They had to open the wall in two tenants' apartments (2d and 3d floors), which means a lot of soot is exposed and the heat turned off. Everything was very professionally done. A plastic wall was made around the openings and the soot was contained. He came on time every morning of the three days. The job was done in the period he predicted. He had to order a lining, which he ordered it as "overnight". The only small thing he slipped up on, was forgetting to turn my heat back on when the job was done! The price included a chimney cleaning as well. Aftermath: a neighbor called who had gotten an estimate from Irwin and because it was so much lower than other estimates, he feared Irwin didn't know what he was doing! I assured him he does: he's just honest!

Received estimate to do work with satisfactory price. Agreed on doing the work. Called repeatedly to know when they were coming. Did not get repeated calls returned to schedule work. Hired someone else to do job.

Concerning the work performed, he arrived on time, properly prepped the area, completed the cleaning in two hours, and left the area spotless. I couldn't be more pleased.

Serviceman arrived on time, was professional, gave us a price to fabricate the chimney cap we needed and then returned two days later and installed it. A pleasure to deal with.

It went very great overall. We were extremely pleased. We had a few estimates, and not only were they cheapest, but they were very community conscientious. He was very prompt, came when he said he would.

I THOUGHT THE PRICES WERE STEEP BUT I IMAGINE THEY WERE THE SAME AS ANYONE ELSE. JAKOBSEN'S DID A VERY GOOD AND THOROUGH JOB CLEANING THE CHIMNEY AND MADE SURE NONE OF THE MESS GOT ANYWHERE ELSE.
