Great Green Cleaning

Given: I bought a $89 for 3 hours deep cleaning coupon here. Scheduling: The scheduling phone call with Great Green went well. Everyone over the phone sounded professional. They will ask you how many rooms to clean, the kind of cleaning, ceiling fan, oven, etc etc. If you don't know the answer to any of their questions, instead of clarifying the question, they will just skip to the next one, which is the only thing I didn't like. They were able to find me an appointment 3 days in advance. That's a plus. They quoted me 1 cleaner 7 hours of cleaning. Day of service: The cleaner was 45 minutes late, due to subway service change. Understandable, given the aftermath of Sandy. The office called me about 15 minutes after the said appointment time to inform me. Appreciated. The cleaner brought a swiffer, some towels, Fantastic spray and vinegar spray. I provided the bucket and hand vacuum. The cleaning was decent, not great. I needed to clean up after she left on things such as dirt around faucets. I expected her to know what to do for a move-in / deep cleaning. But i had to pretty much give very clear directions. After cleaning each room, she will ask me to inspect. Given the rather slow pace she worked, I was worried we wouldn't be able to finish on time, because of the late start. So I just picked the bathrooms and the kitchen for her to spend most of her time. I ended the service after 6 hours. She called into Great Clean to clock out. I was then charged about $170 on top of my $89 coupon. It is on the expensive end in my opinion, but at least the whole process took place as said, and the outcome was acceptable. I will keep my options open before committing to a regular cleaning. Getting the Deal: I need to buy two of their $89 for 3 hours deep cleaning on Angie's List, because I have two different apartments. Angie's List website wouldn't let me do it. Great Green told me to call Angie's List saying they cannot resolve it. Speaking with Angie's List, they asked me to talk to Great Green instead, because they were the one who controls how many coupon a customer can buy. When it comes down to it, Angie's List wants me to buy another membership, while Great Green is reluctant to cut me a deal. How difficult is it to just give me a discount over the phone?

Although the initial phone conversation w/the cleaning service took almost 20 min. to set up, the day of the cleaning went off w/out a hitch. The cleaning professional was on time and finished before the 3 hr. minimum set and offered to do anything else I might need during the remaining 20 min. I was happy w/the results.

The overall experience was very positive. The woman in the office whom i spoke with to initially book the appointment was incredibly pleasant, responsive and professional. The actual cleaning woman arrived right on time (if I recall, she might have been a little early), and was also extremely pleasant and professional. She did a great job in the limited amount of time allotted for the cleaning. Would definitely recommend and use this service again.

The staff is professional - but again, they charge 3X market price for their services - they should be very professional at that price!

It went well. The young woman was professional; she brought her own cleaning materials. She did a very good job.

The company sent two women to clean who were pretty thorough (one more so than the other). They were in my home for 3.5 hours but because there was a second woman, I was charged an additional 239. There was a good deal of chatting with one of the ladies, the other was really all business. I agreed to this price with the understanding it was for 8 hours of cleaning. I suppose having two of them there for 3.5 hours makes it 7 but really this is an obscene amount of money to spend on cleaning services.

They were questioning me and the service I needed. They were not willing to accommodate me.

The lady was happy and did a great job. She cared about us and wanted to do the best she could

I called and they sent me a list of jobs they can do. Think about your needs and call them explaining what you would like them to do. Settle on the tasks and arrange an appointment time. The ladies travel by public transportation. They each arrived late, but the office keeps you informed if the person is running late. She brings and quot;greenand quot; products. You provide the mop, cloths, etc. Show her where the work space is and get out of the way. If she needs your input, she'll ask. If she finishes your requested work before time, you may give her another task that will complete the prearranged time. The office must be informed first before she can accept it. Make sure you do not exceed the timeframe. After the work is done, she'll ask you to approve it. Give her the tax in an envelope for management. You may give a tip in hand if you wish, of the amount you wish. they will call you afterwards for your assessment. I've been pleased. I think you will be too. DO NOT USE MY ADDRESS IN THE CUSTOMERS' REVIEWS. WORK WAS DONE IN MY HOME AND TWO OTHER HOMES BECAUSE I HAD THREE COUPONS. YOU CANNOT USE MORE THAN ONE COUPON IN YOUR HOME.

The overall experience was very good; however 3 hours wasn't a sufficient amount of time to complete my home cleaning needs.

I ended up requesting a refund for the Big Deal I had purchased due to hidden cost within the offer. The deal did not state originally that there would be an additional fee for transportation. It just makes me feel that the company might have other hidden fees once they would get to my home to complete the service. Based on their misrepresentation I would not use them company or recommend them.

I called Great Green Cleaning for a one-day kitchen and bath deep clean with the hopes that I would be able to contract with them for weekly housecleaning services follow the initial visit. From the outset I had my doubts about the company since the scheduler seemed overwhelmed and distracted on the phone. The terms and pricing were somewhat unclear in the conversation but she promised to email me a written contract summarizing everything... Although I never received anything in writing, I really desperately needed my house cleaned, so I didn't press the issue. On the day of the cleaning, their staff member arrived about a half hour early -- this is NOT a virtue when they are coming to a private home with children at 7:30am on a Saturday! -- and was very rude when I asked if she could return on time so my family could finish using the bathrooms and kitchen before she started working. So I let her start working right away, but asked that since she'd be finished early, she'd need to lock my front door behind her when she left since I wouldn't be home from my morning appointments in time to lock up behind her. This touched off World War III and she began shouting at me that I needed to make the arrangements through her office, not with her. I called the office, and they called her, and 10 minutes of phone tag later, she finally decided to start working. About an hour into the cleaning, she told me that I had moved her bottle of cleaning solution (I hadn't touched it). She then pulled my husband aside and told him that he must have taken it, and she couldn't continue working without it. He brushed her off and told her to get back to work. She started huffing and puffing and throwing mops and brooms around, screaming that she couldn't work in house where we were and quot;stealing from herand quot; and she called her office to ask them to send more cleaning supplies and then sat down on the couch waiting for them to arrive, still mumbling accusations at us. I called her office and explained that this CLEARLY was not going to work out and could they please schedule a different person as soon as possible. She left in a huff, only after dumping a bucketful of mop water directly onto my kitchen floor and throwing my vacuum cleaner across the room, leaving my front door flapping open behind her. I never heard back from Great Green Cleaning Service, and thankfully they never billed me. I spent about an hour cleaning up behind my and quot;housecleanerand quot; (and found the missing bottle of cleaning solution, which touched off the final maelstrom, in the guest bathroom sink after about 30 seconds of earnest searching). Perhaps some of the people employed by Great Green Cleaning Service are professional and reliable and polite, but do you really want to take a chance on a company that might send someone like this into your home? I know I sure won't again!

It was a Big Deal (? whatever it's called: special offer) I called, they sent the person. Nothing more to say!

I had taken advantage of a special many months ago but couldn't use it until recently. When I called with my coupon number, there was absolutely no problem setting up an appointment. Then hurricane Sandy hit and the appointment had to be rescheduled two times, but again, there was excellent communication. When the house cleaner arrived, she was 10 minutes early ( a positive in my book), very professional in reviewing the job and a lovely person. My husband who was at home that day really liked her courteousness. I would definitely use this service again.

The scheduling process was easy and everyone I spoke to on the phone was professional and competent. I called once to give the details of my apartment and scheduling preferences and then was called back that evening with a confirmed time. On the date of service, the cleaning person arrived about 15 minutes late, but she was very, very apologetic about it, and since this was her first time coming, I can understand not having timed it perfectly (not to mention that the NYC transit system is still a little off post-hurricane). Once she arrived, she got right to work. We prioritized the bathrooms and kitchen. These rooms had not been thoroughly cleaned in months. As a result, she basically spent the three hours just on that. I think she felt a little bad about not getting to the bedroom or living room since she tried to stay late to vacuum the bedroom. We told her that was unnecessary (she had worked straight through and it wasn't her fault the kitchen and bathrooms needed a lot of work). I did appreciate the gesture though. Having inspected the work, while I can't say I was completely blown away, the results either met or exceeded my expectations. I've only used one other cleaning service before, and compared to that company, Great Green was much more thorough. Overall I had a very good experience. Depending on the non-promotional price, I would plan to use this company again in the future.

Exactly what we were looking for.

In three hours, the cleaner was unable to touch my bedroom. While the rest of the house was sufficiently clean, it didn't blow me away. The level of clean was equal to what I could produce given a few hours. I was expecting more given that this was a professional. Further, the apartment got much filthier before it was and quot;cleanand quot; - watching this woman drag limp papertowels around the floor with her foot was a litle scary. Finally, while I appreciate that they use and quot;greenand quot; cleaning methodology, not having any sort of and quot;freshand quot; scent after the cleaning was disappointing.

Both times they were punctual and did a great job. Specially on the construction cleaning as the house was a mess after sanding (dust everywhere) and the bathrooms were so dirty you couldn't see the color of the floors. They really gave the house a good scrub

Got a deal on angies list - it looked very good (half price). We called, and they collected a lot of info, and applied it to the person doing the service. They were able to book 3 days out. She arrived early (arr @ 8.45 for 9am) and was there for six hours. My mother in law observed everything and she is hawk on detail. She said that she was an A+ on everything that was completed, but that we should have given the woman more direction. We did the next time and were pleased.

Everything was very smooth.

Unfortunately, it didn't go that well. To begin with, the service provided a contract in which we were obligated to provide some specific supplies, such as a particular type of mop. We took time and spent money to purchase these supplies — that we would not have otherwise purchased — and the cleaner did not open or use them. We were also aware that certain rooms would be more difficult to clean and would use up more time than was available. So we specifically asked that these rooms not be cleaned so that others could be focused on. We then found the cleaner working h****** those rooms, while the others that we wanted cleaned were not done as well as we would have liked. Additionally, we asked that the focus be on surface cleaning and dusting. The cleaner focused instead on things like vacuuming the floors and complaining that we didn't have the correct bags (which we did, and were out with the supplies). The net result was that surfaces we wanted cleaned and/or dusted were either done poorly or not at all touched. We don't know if there were language issues, or some other factor, but whatever it was, the communication just wasn't there.

Purchased a Big Deal with Angie's List. called them up and went over the coupon details with me and then said it was going to cost a little more based on space. On the night before they were going to come out they canceled. Went ahead and scheduled it again, then i had to cancel because of a sick family member. So I called them the night before and they made me pay the full amount since I didn't give them 24 hour notice.

They were very curt and abrupt when I spoke to them on the phone. So I decided a refund.

They were late. Service was terrible. And given that they work by the hour, she worked really slow. I wouldn't use this company at all. Be aware.

The experience was professional all representatives were thorough and cordial. During the initial call it seemed to take too long yet Mgmt advised me the person was in training. Day before the scheduled services I received a call that due to a loss family the person who was to come could not and a replacement was being sent but they could only come on the same day hours earlier. This was very inconvenient due to my work and travel but I was able to manage the day working from home. My other concern was that although I'd be there I would not be available to attend to questions etc as I had planned. The person they sent showed up on time, even a few minutes early. After a couple of questions the cleanup began and moved swiftly through the next 4 hours. While the cost for this company seems a bit expensive, the quality of work and attention to detail is excellent. Thank you.
