Description of Work: I have a 2 bedroom apartment, they asked me to prioritize the jobs I wanted them to do and they followed everything to a "T". Granted, 3 hours was really not enough time to do the whole apartment, but it was so nice to come home and find the majority of it done. Also, the person was a little late, but keep in mind that this was due a problem on the subway, their employees use the public transportation system. Must I must note that even though this is a Brooklyn-based company, they willingly traveled up to the Bronx (Riverdale) to my apartment.

Description of Work: I used the company for 2 visits so far (date is approximate). Lovely person came to clean and worked continuously; they sent the same person both times. She was very helpful and did everything asked for. The punctuality, although late once, was fine. She maintained contact and in NYC you have to allow for train issues. The beginning phone call is tough because these companies are more concerned with legalities/liability than you; I can see where people are put off by it. You want to have a company that is just as concerned about your side/needs as theirs and this is not how it feels at first. Having said that, they did inspire enough confidence that I expect that they would be worth the extra money going forward. I do plan to use them again. I just think they need to make clear the benefits of paying more money for same work done for less elsewhere.

Description of Work: The cleaning is fabulous. The quality, courtesy and knowlepolicies and ptocedues are questionable, at bet. . When I called this am to reschedule my appointment for Friday, I was told they needed 48 hours' notice. I noted to the phone receptionist that Friday at 10:30 am is 48 hours away from Wednesday at 8:30 am Then I was told that I would be allowed this cancellation this one time. I asked why when u just said 48 hours notice. Meanwhile I read in one of the reviews on this site that cancellation was easy. Evidenttly not in my case. Furthermore a month ago, the service called me to cancel my regularly scheduled appointment because the cleaning person's "regular client" needed her on my day. Really? Am I not a regular customer? I consented to this "less than 48 hour " notice. The office policies and procedures are very loose and are interpreted to the benefit of the owners.

Afterward, before Georgia left, I spoke with the main office and set up a regular cleaning with Georgia. Prior to the next appointment, the office informed me that Georgia would be out of town for my appointment and asked if they could set up another cleaning professional. I agreed, so long as our agreement to have Georgia do our regular cleaning remained in place. They agreed. Before the next scheduled cleaning, the main office informed me that Georgia was again unavailable and asked if I would agree to have another cleaning professional come by. When I declined and asked to reschedule to a date that Georgia was available, Great Green Maid informed me that it wasn't an option and that I could have another person come or have nobody - either way, I would be charged. They then informed me that Georgia was one of their most popular cleaning professionals and given the fact that I had not set up a cleaning more regularly, I should not expect Georgia to be the one to clean our space. I informed them that I was disappointed with their bait and switch tactic and canceled immediately. I did not reschedule with another professional and was not charged.

Description of Work: Naomi came to my apartment a half hour earlier than expected. I was in an unbelievable mess and really needed a lot of elbow grease used in the bathroom. She came through with flying colors. Naomi is a very personable young lady and extremely industrious. She was very gracious and would not even accept a cup of coffee. She was busy the whole time she was here and checked with me when necessary, but she certainly needed no supervision. I would certainly use this company again. They took very good care of me. The job was heavier than was expected and the gentleman I spoke to, Russell, stated they would be charging the discussed price, even though the job was in a higher category. Everyone connected with The Great Green Cleaning Company has treated me with professionalism and made me feel as if I am a most valued customer. As far as I am cncerned, they deserve a AAA.

Description of Work: I required a heavy duty cleaning of a elative's apartment while he was in the hospital. The apartment had not been cleaned in 15 years and was in disgusting shape. The cleaning service needed to help me clean everything from top to bottom and help me move furniture into the middle of the room so the apartment could be painted the enxt week. I cannot underdescribe the amount of cleaning that needed to be done in one day.
