Description of Work: 8 hours of thorough housecleaning. I loved the service, but the price is a bit steep for me.

Description of Work: The lady arrived at my home on time and ready to work. She did a good job cleaning the kitchen and bathroom. This included the oven, under the stove top, the fridge, the cabinets, floors, tub, and medicine cabinet. Like any first time, I went over the work (which she also encouraged which is a plus) and had her go over parts of the job.

Description of Work: We hired Great Green Cleaning (GGC) to perform house keeping service for our home after parting ways with our housekeeper of 8 years. We selected GGC after trying out 2 other companies and giving each of them a day to clean. GGC beat out the other two companies even though they were the most expensive. Over the last 4 months, we have been using them 3-4 days a week at a rate of $140 a day. Today, after spending thousands of dollars with them, we are firing them for several reasons: 1. Quality of the service itself. Initially we were impressed at how organized our apartment looked when they had finished cleaning. We were living in a smaller apt and we just had or 3rd child and there were stacks of stuff everywhere. The person we got from GGC had an amazing sense of organization and she put things away! However, after we moved and we were able to focus on the actual job of whether the dirt, dust and crumbs were getting cleaned and it was not. After working with the first housekeeper they sent on several "try's" we asked for someone else. 2. Punctuality. The new person did a alright job and my wife only had to spend a half a day training her (!) when she got sick and stopped showing up. GGC offered to send yet a 3rd person and after two days of false starts she finally arrived. Again, this person required us to take a day off work to "train" in other words we told her to tell us when you think you are finished with this room and we will inspect it to tell you what you missed. Supposedly GGC has field supervisors who visit clients and inspect the work of their employees, but these supervisors have appeared only twice eventhough we have spent over $10k with their company. Now our third housekeeper has pulled a no show for three days this week and so this is the last straw for us. 3. Management/professionalism. I could go on about how they broke a wedding gift and have yet to replace it. Or how they advertise that they bring their own cleaning supplies, then weren't so although we were paying for them they were using ours. Or about how disorganized the management team is an they I had to ask for an invoice every week for four weeks before they sent them to me. One response was that they have 2000 other clients, so they are too busy to send me the invoice/receipts. 4. Responsiveness. GGC is very responsive. This is why we continued with them for so long inspite of our dissatisfaction. But it eventually works against them because they are not able to do what they say the would do. So our frustration level is pretty high after being "yes-ed to death" I would never use them and would not recommend them. Perhaps their other 2000 clients are happy with them but #2001 is definitely not!

Description of Work: the company was a bit scatter-brained. They said a cleaning person would come on a certain day and he never appeared. A woman did come on the following Monday and the company did give me a discount because of the inconvenience. The cleaning woman was great. Very thorough, professional and very good at what she does. The reason I would not hire this company again is that the price is way too high for me at $50 an hour. I simply can't afford that price for a cleaning person. But she was very good and at a lower price, I would hire her anytime.

Description of Work: I wanted to do an extensive spring cleaning before summer break. I was impressed that this company supposedly uses earth friendly cleaning supplies that wouldn't be harmful to my children. I say "supposedly" because they brought the cleaning supplies in clear plastic bottles without the ingredients listed, nor do I know the brand that they used. I had them focus on the windows and walls, floor boards and crown molding, book shelves - things that I normally do not get to do. There was also supposed to be regular cleaning of the bathrooms, bedrooms, common rooms, etc.

Description of Work: We came home from a vacation to find a less than mediocre job. Just to list what wasn't done--the fridge, the stove, vacuuming, general dusting. We paid for 3 hours--more than enough time to clean a studio apartment! I will NEVER use these cleaners again.

Description of Work: Great Green Cleaning & Maid Service was hired to do a deep house cleaning in a 1 bedroom studio apartment. They were hired for four hours. They were asked to clean all items in kitchenette, living room, including windows and blinds, bathroom and bedroom and floor.

Description of Work: THEY LIE TO YOU THEY SAY THE CLEANING IS $ BUT THEN THEY CHARGE YOU ANOTHER AMT ON TOP OF THE ASKING PRICE!! THEY ARE NOT AN COMPANY I WOULD EVER DO BUSINESS WITH AGAIN!!! DO NOT LIKE PEOPLE WHO LIE RIGHT OFF THE BAT TO YOU!!! THEN WHEN THEY SAY THERE GOING TO GET BACK TO YOU THEY DO NOT!!! NOT AN GOOD COMPANY GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

Description of Work: I live in a brownstone, and hired Great Green Cleaning services to come and clean up after some very dirty tenants moved out. I hired them for a deep clean of three bathrooms and the kitchen and to clean the hardwood floors of a room covered with paint. When I spoke to them on the phone, they were very diligent, allowing me to specify exactly what I wanted cleaned, where extra caution was needed, etc. Other places I called just said they would do a deep clean throughout the house, which is not really what we needed (and which would cost considerably more). After we agreed on the phone, they sent me a contract later that day, which I signed electronically. It estimated a range of 4-6 hours with two people working. The two cleaners spent 5 hours, so clearly, they were not trying to pad the clock.

Description of Work: The company cleaned a one bedroom apartment that had not been professionally cleaned in many years. We asked them to focus most of their time on the bathroom.

Description of Work: (Note that cost above would have been $50 per hour plus tax, but I had a $50 coupon for the three-hour cleaning by one person.) Georgia knew what to do and she worked very hard for three hours -- I cannot believe what she got done in that time. Wood floors damp mopped. Rugs vacuumed, including underneath furniture. Upholstery vacuumed. Dusting everything, including bookshelves (No didn't take my thousands of books out.) Window sills scrubbed. Kitchen and bathrooms sparkling.In addition, Georgia is a very pleasant, friendly person. Previously Georgia was one of the two women (also good) who gave my apartment a very thorough cleaning -- the tasks I mentioned above plus a delicate Italian chandelier, venetian blinds, three French doors in and out, washing all baseboards, windows washed inside . (I didn't want outside.) Mirrors washed. Valences brushed. They worked nonstop for four hours. I requested Georgia the next time for the three-hour cleaning.

Description of Work: I was looking into this company to use if I did need my house cleaned. I ended up calling them to see if they also had a handyman service, as I needed to dismantle my entertainment center so I could eventually get my air conditioner removed by a different company.
