I called Gaudioso Contracting Inc. Anthony made an appointment to look at the job within 1 week. He came promptly at the designated date, evaluated the job and gave us two quotes that considered a potential difficulty with matching the old gas valve with the new ranges. He recommended we contact AHC Appliances for information regarding the best choices for our kitchen needs. That was a great recommendation our purchase of items from the list of the choices they gave us was at the cheapest prices we were able to find on the net and in other local stores including big box stores. We scheduled the work to begin in two weeks and to be completed within 3 days. The workers arrived on time, were neat, and cleaned the area each evening before they left. The work done was of the highest quality and the workers quickly rectified the one minor problem. There were no annoying change requests to increase the price quoted and the workers were able to find an appropriate adapter for the gas valve so the cheaper quote was charged. They completed the work in the specified time. Overall an outstanding job and pleasant experience.

Stellar service from all at Gaudioso. The end result is my gorgeous kitchen. I could not be happier. Project Manager, Nicholas made sure I was kept abreast of all work being performed. Nicholas and his team are professional, courteous, meticulous and possess an extremely high level of expertise. Not a single call or email was left unanswered by Allison at the office. From start to finish everything was stress-free. Outstanding work!

The scope of work was completed despite several change orders in time. Very professional work with a team of outstanding skilled technicians. The value of the work was approximately $135,000.00

We first contacted Anthony and left a voicemail. He promptly returned the phone call and scheduled a time to inspect the apartment. He showed up on time. He walked through the property and made some thoughtful suggestions that other contractors had not given, which was impressive. Anthony mentioned he had worked in the building too which was positive. Anthony promised to have a quote within the next 24hrs, which he delivered on. Other contractors were significantly slower. We had some change orders to the original quote before commiting on a contractor. Again, Anthony and his team were prompt to accommodate the orders. While Gaudioso was not the cheapest quote received, they showed excellent professionalism and responsiveness, which ultimately tipped our decision to use them. It was the right decision. After agreeing to use Gaudioso, their team compiled all the paperwork our building needed in a timely and orderly fashion (COIs, contracts, scope of work). After signing and working out a payment schedule based on percentage of completion, we were referred to one of the foreman, Luis. We walked through the job and clearly labeled everything that had to be done around the apartment. Luis was extremely thorough throughout the process. He was on site frequently checking in on his team. The first week, the team discovered a defect in our floors that would require plywood to fix to elevate and support our wide plank hardwood. They organized the requisite materials and corrected the issue within a week. We had ordered the actual hardwood floors from a separate supplier. Luis and his team picked up everything from the delivery truck and transported to apartment without issue. The floor installation was excellent. No noticeable gaps or creaking. The baseboards and shoe moulding also look great. We also had the entire apartment (1600sqft) painted with numerous accent walls. The result was beautiful. All of our bathroom changes, in particular changing the vanities, were done to a high standard. Regarding the electrical, everything was done well. The most difficult piece, a 5ft wire nest chandelier was installed perfectly. As a final point of praise, Anthony's wallpaper services were done to perfection, and the wallpaper wasn't the easiest to line up visually, which is a credit to them. The job was slated for up to 5 weeks, and it was completed on time. The crew also cleaned up extensively as they finished each major component of the scope of work. None of our neighbors or the building had any complaints either. In total, we were extremely satisfied with Anthony and his team. If you're looking for quality, professionalism, and respectful people to work with, go with Gaudioso.

Went great at every stage. Anthony, his office staff, Luis and the work crew, were great. This job took a little over three months, and I won't tell you it was easy, but everybody did everything they could to make it as easy as possible on Mom, and couldn't have been nicer or more accomodating.

At first it was fine. The owner, Anthony came over, took measurements, and notes about what we were looking for. A few days later, he emailed over the quote. Everything looked good so we decided to proceed with him. So he says his foreman needs to come over and look at a couple things. Sure, sounds reasonable right? Wrong. This guy comes over and starts requoting phase 1 of our project - replacing the baseboards. I'm no expert, but baseboards are straightforward. But here he is, standing in my living room telling me the first quote didn't include quarter rounds and we need some special height of baseboards..... Which is so surprising because I made it crystal clear that we wanted to replace exactly what we have currently. Then the kicker, he's charging 4x what home depot does for materials. Um, seriously? Why the **** would I pay you 4 times what I could get for myself? So he leaves and I send Anthony an email saying we expected a full quote the first time (doesn't everyone?) since that was a huge part of how we decided who to work with, and like most people, we expect to not be ripped off for materials. He says the quote is complete and seems annoyed that we dare question one of his employees. So we get the new quote and lo and behold, it's double the original. After that bait and switch waste of time, we decided we're not going to work with this liar. Anthony, if you're reading this, don't waste your customers' time with multiple "quotes" for the same portion of work - We all have better things to do, and please don't think you can get away with charging double what you tell people things will cost originally. If you've read this far, you can guess we hired a different contractor. The price was steeper to begin with, but it's stayed the same and that's a neat trick I've come to appreciate. Estimated Cost-$70000.00

Anthony and his team were excellent. My husband and I are new to the city and we didn't have any friends with contractor recommendations, so we took a risk on Anthony and his team, and I can't speak more highly of them. They were very responsive, knowledgable, and the prices were completely fair. Book them! Book them now.

I am not one to write reviews. I selfishly take advantage of those others write. I had to write something because the job that Travis did is absolute perfection! I showed him pictures of what I wanted. He went way above and beyond with the amount of visits he had to pay to the apartment because it was in construction and he had to get measurements but he also puts so much thought into the job that he needed to see things and be sure. He is truly an artist. It was amazing to watch him work and see his wheels turning. I am clueless, I just know what I want but had no idea about all of the logistics. It was like getting an architect for free. He asked the sales team in the bldg a ton of questions, half of which I didn't understand but they were so impressed that he had thought of all of these details. He is somewhat of a perfectionist which of course is what you want when someone is working on your home. The room looks beyond amazing. It fits in seamlessly and looks as if the apartment came like this. Travis got mouldings from my building in order to match. Everyone that comes over goes on and on about how amazing the job came out. I can't recommend him highly enough. He was also very responsive as I texted him a lot with questions probably which were really stupid but he was patient and answered so that I would understand. I also had his guys install two chandeliers. Pictures attached but they truly don't do justice . So much better in person!! Good luck...

Beautiful as the process went smoothly. Our project manager Luis was gold. He was extremely knowledgeable and took the place of a designer as he was able to offer great suggestions.

Very Well. This was my fourth project with Anthony so this speaks for itself. I would only work with him and would recommend him to anyone. The pricing and timing was accurate, his team is always professional. responsive, and courteous. I have worked with him on a complete kitchen, and a complete bathroom renovation, and a handyman job. This project was on a second bathroom.

Once the job was started, the work went fairly well. The estimate of time was a couple weeks longer than expected but the job was completed in its entirety and to my satisfaction. This is a very honest, professional and trustworthy company, and a pleasure to work with. Any concerns I had were always immediately addressed. The owner, Anthony, Allison and Stefanie in the office and Travis, the project manager were always available and responsive to any of my needs and concerns. I was very pleased with the finished results and would definitely use them again.

Anthony's team provided timely & professional service. They really go above and beyond for their customers. Highly recommended. (Caveat: as with most general contractors in NYC, they do subcontract out flooring work.)

Anthony responded quickly, and scheduled a walk thru the next day. He gave us good advice and ideas along with what to expect from our management company. Quoted us quickly and was priced in the middle of what others quoted. We chose him based on how knowledgeable he was, and gut feeling. Once work started Nicolas our foreman was great, explained everything and addressed any concerns. Job was completed on time and at the price agreed. We were happy with how it came out overall.

I started to set up with them. We did some plans and stuff. We are going to postpone the June date due to a surgery I am going to have. He was very pleasant and nice. We talked about some of the things I could do, like moving a toilet that is close to the wall. We talked about the materials and what not. We were beginning to start the process with the co-op management company as to the insurance. The overall price I don't have, because we never got it put together. We never got the final estimate, but it was in the ballpark of other people I spoke with. He was pretty much in the same range. I did like the idea that he was going to run pipe all of the way to the waste in the wall, otherwise if he did what some other companies were doing, if I had problems further down, they wouldn't cover it. He was going to take full responsibility, of course I would have to pay for the piping down to the waste, but he made a good point that he was responsible to a certain area within the wall, within the structure that the co-op board could say was my responsibility. I thought that was really good. I have lived here for 14 years and we are going on our fourth management company. He has dealt with co-op's before. The pictures they took of what we were doing, were good. We did talk a lot with the designers.

The work was done quickly, beautifully and neatly! I'm thrilled with the work and customer service from the team at Gaudioso Contracting and would use them again. I highly recommend them!

Gaudioso Contracting kept on top of all the sub-contactors and kept me informed every bit of the way. The final result was a beautiful kitchen. All the workers from Gaudioso Contracting to the sub-contractors were experienced, very professional and respectful. I would recommend Gaudioso Contracting to anyone. You will not be sorry. Allison from Gaudioso was exceptional and she got me through it all. I never knew anyone who was more customer oriented. She kept on top of every aspect of the job and kept me informed. It was a pleasure dealing with her.

They were great. I saw everyday the quality of the work in terms of the demolition, then concrete pouring (the newly restored shower stall could probably double as a bomb shelter it's so solid), the retiling, reinstallation of fixtures, and the finishing work. Really a quality job. It took a longer time than anticipated, but the quality of the work was well worth it, and was probably due to the fact that the floors and walls under the tile were a lot more degraded than anyone expected, and there was a miscommunication about finishing stonework to be used. But the price didn't change, just the length of time of the project. They could have been a little bit better on proactive communication, but they responded to me and my designer every time we had questions about the delay.

I remodeled both of my bathrooms with Gaudioso Contracting this past summer. I live in a 1920's coop building in Brooklyn which has a lot of requirements for renovations. (Lots of extra paperwork, licenses, letters, strict work hours, asbestos abatements, and they also had stipulations about which plumbers we could use). Gaudioso Contracting was very accommodating and flexible about all of my buildings needs. Gaudioso contracting was not the cheapest quote I received but the had the best upfront communication and expertise which I why I chose to work with them and It was a great decision because the bathrooms came out beautiful!! The craftsmanship was excellent and the workers were very respectful of the other spaces in my apartment. They keep all the areas of the apartment they were using clean while working. The project did take longer than we anticipated but that had nothing to do with the Gaudioso team. We had hold ups with the building, the required sub-contractors and the DOB which were aggravating but come with the territory of this type of renovation. All that said, my favorite part of working with Gaudioso Contracting was the accessibility. They were always available to help corral the many different moving parts of the job and it was essential that I was always able to get in touch with someone who could give me updates and help at a moments notice. I would love to work with them again on future projects.

Overall we were pleased with the speed, professionalism, cleanliness, and responsiveness. Both project manager and the worker were nice and easy to deal with. They offered to repaint the whole room, even though that was not discussed beforehand. The price was reasonable for the job, not high or low.

The finished product was excellent. The attention to detail was extraordinary.

Anthony and his team had done a gut renovation on our home back in the spring of 2016. As such, we hired his firm to assess and repair the damage caused by a ruptured steam pipe in our wall. The ruptured steam pipe caused significant damage to that wall and part of the nearby ceiling and floor. Anthony and his team were extremely helpful in quickly acting to make sure the area was properly dried out, as well as performing before and after mold tests. The walls, ceiling and floors were very professionally repaired (New sheetrock, repainted, etc.) and done quickly. Highly recommend.

Overall, considering this is a NYC apartment, the fact that the job was completed in 3 1/2 months is due to the diligence of the primary workers for this company. The times that issues would arise almost always were related to sub-contractors that were involved with the project, but the primary contractor (Gaudioso) always did a decent job of handing those situations so that the overall project was not delayed. This contractor, like most in New York City, is not inexpensive, but the quality of the work that was performed is excellent and well worth the price. Most importantly, we love living in our new home.
