Fenton Garage Doors

They are pretty good. I haven't had any problem since. It took them less than two hours. They quoted me a price and asked if I want to do it. It went pretty smooth. He cleaned up after himself as well. I'd say he's very good but I would compare others to see if the pricing is better.

My garage door lock broke, so I figured it was time to get a garage door opener. Found Fenton online and saw their good reviews, so I called. They gave me an appointment within a couple of days and a very reasonable quote. On the day of installation, the crew arrived on time, were respectful and were true professionals. They completed the job within a couple of hours, were very clean and really knew their stuff. The garage door opener looks and works awesome, and I couldn't be a happier customer. Thank you the great service.

From the first phone call to schedule an estimate, I was convinced right away that Fenton garage doors would be the contractor of choice for a new garage door install. Richie was very polite and accomodating to my busy work schedule to arrange a time to come check out the job. Upon arrival, Richie listened to my concerns about lack of insulation with the exisiting door and very weathered wood framing. He presented my wife and I a brochure with all the different types of Raynor garage doors which he installs along with motorized options if we were interested. He gave us a price to remove the exisiting door , cart away all rubbish and install a new door with or without a motor depending on our preference. I called him back within a day or so to place my order and schedule a time and day to do the job. Richie arrived exactly when he said he would and took about two to three hours to complete the job. The area was left absolutely spotless when he finished and his installation was done very professionally. I am more than happy with the job that he had done and his price was right where I was expecting it to be. He removed all the old framing that I had asked him to and capped and caulked any exposed wood. The new door works beautifully, the motor is very quiet and operates very smoothely and there is a noticeable difference ,insulation wise, within the garage. Mr. Fenton & his team arrived on time. They got to work immediately. Removed the old door & the metal associated with it. Efficiently installed the new door that looked exactly as I envisioned it. They cleaned up my garage and backyard leaving no trace of anything that might damage my car. They showed me how to open and close the door, its locking mechanism. The door fits perfectly keeping the elements out. Perfect seal. The job took 2 hours. Outstanding! Mr. Fenton and his team are highly professional, courteous and true to his word and guarantee. He is a no nonsense pro. I would recommend him without any reservations.

What I like about them : 1---when I call an office, they called me back in 10 min with possible date for an appt. 2--- they were able to come next day between 8--8:30 am 3---they SHOWED UP at 8 am !!!!! as promised 4--- problem was fixed in less than 1 hour . Now they have a happy customer, who will definitely use them again and recommend them to all my friends.

It went very well showed up exactly when they said they would (7:00 p.m.), removed all old door and frame, track, garage door opener. re-framed wood, installed new track, made adjustments to garage ensure proper fit. Installed new garage door remote, keypad and senors. Cleaned up after themselves as they went alone. A plus was they took old frame, garage door opener, garage door. Didn't have to worried about having old material sitting in front of my house. I would highly recommend, quality work done by this company.

The previous owner of my home did a poor DIY job on the garage door. The previous motor and track was unstable because of how it was drilled into the wire mesh and plaster so I ended up removing the whole thing and was contemplating getting a new door because of the gap that was left between the door and the frame and that made it very cold in the garage and floor above. I called another company before Fenton and they recommended a new door because the one they offered had the highest energy rating. He basically said my door was useless. When Mr. Fenton came he assured me that the door just needed to be adjusted, fix the wheels on the track and put a new motor and I should be fine. He explained to me why the cost of a new door wouldn't cause any noticeable difference in the cold that I was concerned about. I agreed to go with Fenton and they installed a new Pilot II motor with keyless entry. They did a great job and the motor they installed was really quiet. Fenton Garage saved me about $1200 when you consider the price of a new door that I would have been willing to pay for. They left no mess and took the time to explain how everything worked. I called on a Friday and Richie came to give me an estimate the next day. Other companies gave me appts for Monday and Tuesday. He gave me an estimate quickly and told me when he could do the job. Very professional. Estimate very reasonable. I liked his demeanor and the fact that he was local, he told me where he lived, he knew my neighbor, etc. I decided to go with Fenton right after talking to him and he immediately scheduled the work; said he'd start at 8:00, I told him whenever... That morning I looked out the window and surprise! --they were already working. It was about 7:30-45. (!) Richie was working along with two other guys, all friendly and professional. He did not try to sell me a new motor even tho mine is prehistoric. He repaired the rail from the motor ( it was bent ) and did not charge extra. I believe the whole thing took 2 - 21/2 hours or so. They cleaned up (and even swept up a mess from a previous contractor! Richie also gave me an estimate for replacing the back door of the garage and another... Would i recommend? Absolutely! Totally stress-free experience. A pleasure.

They did great job. It took less then 15 minutes to fix. They were also on time ,in fact they came before the scheduled time which was great. I would definitely recommend hiring then to fix your garage door.

I asked Richie to remove the rotted wood trim that sealed the area around my garage door. He replaced it with a white vinyl which came out looking great. Not only that, he also greased up the tracks and performed other minor adjustments on my door which makes it now open and close much better than before. Coincidently, Richie's father was hired by my grandmother some 20 odd years ago to do some other work on my garage (which I did not know prior to calling) and Richie immediately remembered my house because he had been here also. He definitely takes pride in his work, was punctual and did an excellent job in a short amount of time. Will definitely use him again.

It toke me over a year to wright this review, but I would be wrong not to let the members know what a great job Fenton Garage did ! After agreeing on materials and price I started to research everything about garage doors. Its been so long that I forgot the owners name, but I called him about two weeks after I signed the contract to ask if I should pay more and upgrade the door, I could not believe that he upgraded the door at no more cost to me. I also wanted silicone not metal rollers the difference in price was about thirty dollars so I said ok add it to the total cost. I was super happy when I got home and saw the great job that was done! The frame, door, new motion sensor lights he reinstalled for me at no cost and the garage door opener was about a hundred to install all worked excellent. When the balanced was paid I forgot to add the cost of the silicone rollers, once again I was told to forget about it. Its been over a year and everything is still working like new. I rarely have time to wright any kind of reviews but if your in need of a garage door this company should be at the top of the list hands down!!!

I called them because they were the ones who installed the garage doors originally a few years back. The service that answered did not explain that there was a $90 charge for them to come to my house which was local. Once they came I explained that the remotes are not working and the garage did not open manually either. They took a look and told me it would cost $150 to repair. So I agreed. They were done in about 6 minutes . They put the door back on track & sprayed some WD40. Remotes were still not working as they said the electric is not working in garage & they were not sure if it needs a new electric system. I explained to them that this was a total ripoff and should not be $150. They explained to me there is a service charge $90 so they went down to $125. I told them that no one told me about a $90 service charge. After I paid the $125 the only thing working is the door opens manually. It was a TOTAL RIPOFF. I would not use them again

Our experience with Fenton was great. I had called another garage door repairman first who had done a 1 second inspection of my garage lift before informing me that I had no choice but to replace the whole thing at a cost of $550. Fenton, on the other hand, completed a very thorough inspection and discovered that the electrical wiring was the problem, not the lift itself. Fenton fixed the issue in minutes and at a fraction of the cost of the initial estimate. Overall, I found Fenton to be extremely responsive, punctual and professional.

I called Richie and told him my garage door would not stay closed. Even though he was busy, he came to assess the problem, closed the door, and repaired it 2 days later. He was always prompt and professional. I would not hesitate to call him again or recommend him to others.

In April 2014, my husband and I decided to replace our garage door. Using the reviews on Angie's List as a guideline, we contacted Fenton Garage Doors (Richie - owner) in Brooklyn, New York. Richie explained the different types of doors and options that were available. My husband and I opted for a more insulated garage door, etched glass window panes and the automatic garage door opener. Throughout the process, Richie was courteous, prompt, efficient and extremely professional. They got the work completed all the same day. They did a good job, they offered financing which helped out a lot. They work through Sears. They arrived and did the job just as they said they would. I even got an upgrade which was a security key pad, they were very affordable.

I called for service on my DEAD 22 year old garage door opener and was answered by a very professional lady who said Mr. Fenton would call me back to give me details and information on replacing the garage door opener. Mr. Fenton called me back within two minutes, gave me detailed information on replacing the opener and said the work could be done the next day (3-21-14). Very professional and friendly. I also thought the price was very reasonable. Bobby arrived exactly on time (7:00am), told me what he was going to do, being very detailed, and what products I was receiving. As an after thought, I asked if he could replace the door weather stripping and he said he gladly would if he had it on the truck. Luckily he did. Again, he was very friendly and professional and the work was done in one hour! It's so nice to know that there are still services out there with good work ethics! NO MORE OPENING THE DOOR MANUALLY! I called for an estimate, Richie came out assessed the door and determined what needed to be done. I scheduled the appt, Richie called 2 confirm the day before. He estimated the time of arrival from 8am-9am, they arrive that time, put up the door within about 2 hrs and that was it. it was that easy, that quick, and that professional. I wish that all home improvements and repairs could go as well as this. I only put n/a for pricing because i'm not sure of the competative rates for this type of work. seemed reasonable enough judging by the prices of garage doors to be anywhere from $500 and up, not to mention it having a remote opener and any possible damage done to the track because of the incident requiring the door to be change. Great Job Fenton!!!!!!
