We are totally satisfied with the work from Jeff and his crew. Everyone showed up on time and with great attitudes. Total pro's! Work was done in the allotted period. Jeff went the extra mile to make sure everything was done correctly. I highly recommend them.

Highly recommended. We engaged Excellent Contracting to complete several facade, masonry and cement projects on our 120 year old multi-family co-op brownstone in the Cobble Hill Historic district. We are very satisfied with the professionalism of the entire Excellent team and with the quality of the completed work. They showed up on time, worked hard and treated the project as if it were their own property and building. Excellent took care of obtaining the needed permits and were knowledgable of the additional requirements Landmarks has put in place for work within historic district. On multiple occasions Excellent provided valuable counsel on how to best address our building's needs while dealing with a real world budget - and clearly explained the possible options and associated costs. The few, minor concerns that presented during the various projects were all handled with professional courtesy and resolved to full satisfaction. Overall, Excellent exceeded our expectations and we only wish more of the contractors we deal with could be like them!

Very very good. He is one of the people who can do the work, interested in the drawing and interested in the work. They should be on the list if not number under Masonry category. I highly recommend them.

I've used Excellent Contracting on our townhouse for two separate jobs. There is not a single aspect of the experience that isn't of the highest order. From the management to the crew, the professionalism and good nature are on constant display. The quality of the work equals the experience with the people. We actually joked that we missed the guys once the job was over. Highly recommended. On a final note, I read in another review that they didn't honor a warranty, I had the opposite experience where an issue arose that was debatable about who was culpable (likely a construction project next door), but the operator of Excellent Construction did the repairs at no charge without question.

We had a great experience with Excellent Contracting. They were extremely professional, responsive, and completed all the work on schedule. They did great quality work, we would use them again and highly recommend them.

My husband really liked the contractor who came to check out the stoop and we wanted to give him the work, but he didn’t follow up with a timely quote after several weeks and additional contact. Disappointed.

They definitely believe in customer service, are very responsive, and came back to fix any issues that came up (cracking due to thaw-freeze). I recommend them to anyone looking for brownstone masonry work, and believe that they provide the best service/skills for their price that you'll find.

Meraz and his crew were wonderful. They did very careful, good work, and were very responsive to our concerns. The job went very smoothly, although it was a big, messy, project. They always showed up promptly, and proceeded as quickly as possible. Now, two years later, it still looks great. We have no leaks and none of the streaks other brownstone work develops. While doing the work, Meraz discovered intact stucco work around the windows that he thought he would have to replace when he bid the job. He brought it to our attention and offered, if we wanted to retain the stucco, to reduce the contract price. When does a contractor do that? They are careful, honest, and do very high quality work. We recommend them highly.

Excellent Contracting is an incredibly responsive and responsible company. They take a lot of pride in their work and plan accordingly so that it's of the highest quality. There were no hidden costs and the project remained on schedule. When we noted small issues with the work, they came back promptly to correct them so that it met our standards. The contractors were polite and tried to minimize the inconveniences that such an extensive restoration necessarily creates. Meraz, our primary contact, also coordinated with the contractors who were restoring our ironwork. I would definitely recommend Excellent.

From start to finish Excellent Contracting, management and working crew were courteous and professional. They were accommodating to my tenants and to my family throughout the work. It is rare to find a contractor of this high quality. As an architect, and the home owner I can be a picky Client, the quality of work from Excellent Contracting is as good as it gets. The facade of my brownstone was deteriorating and I was looking for someone to restore the facade. The search for the right company took almost a year as it was very important to me that the work would be top notch and that the restoration would be true to the original work. Excellent contracting came highly recommended and a relative of mine who is a developer also had used them with great success. The work took about 6 months to complete. They were very professional and addressed all my concerns. They also made sure that my tenants were not too inconvenienced by the project. The facade work was very professionally done with great attention to details. Many of my neighbors came to tell me how impressed they were with the work and one suggested installing flood lights on the face of the facade to highlight the details (although I am sure my tenants would have an issue with lights going up the facade and into their windows). Overall I am very happy with the work that they have done. It has held very well so far and I would not hesitate hiring them.

It's been going very well. The quality of the work has been very high, the communication is excellent, I thought the price was good, I did some comparisons for pricing and the price was certainly acceptable. I have a good experience so far and there were some problems, my drain got clogged because of the work that they did but they worked very hard for me and it's been a good experience.
