Clearity Window Cleaning

They are so pleasant and professional. It took them a long time, as these are old windows. They did an excellent job and left the house with no mess or trouble. They did this before, two and a half years ago, and only charged $240, so when I heard the new prices I was a bit shocked, but it was worth it -- just not quite the same bargain. Totally recommend them!

They were on time - very professional. Wore protective booties to keep our floors clean. The windows came out beautifully!

I got an email saying his minimum is $500. He then sends me another email saying it was $5000, then corrected himself with another email that it is $500, He said I should count the windows, and how many need to be restored before he would come out to give an estimate.

I have used this provider three times in the past. Regarding those instances, I have left 2 reviews. In both reviews I gave the provider all A's. I have used this company during the Spring and Summer in the past and never paid more than $250 per visit. Each time, I have always communicated with Ivan, the company's owner via text messages at the number that is listed for this company. Last week, I texted him twice to schedule an appointment and he never responded. I called the number during business hours and my call went to voicemail. I did not leave a message. Rather, I sent the company an email via the link on Angie's List. I received a response stating that the company looked up my house on Google Maps and the cost of the service would be between $500-$650. This response was strange to me since Ivan has been at my house 3 times in the past and I would think he would be somewhat familiar with it. I inquired as to why the cost has increased more than 100%. I was told due to my location and changes in the service areas. It makes me wonder if Ivan is still running this company. Needless to say, I am very disappointed and I will not be using them in the future. I will be trying another window cleaning company that I found on Angie's List.

Ii have used clearity window cleaners over the past two years. They were efficient and well priced. Today I scheduled an appointment with the idea that I was going to pay around $300 as I had in the past. When the men arrived on time I was told that they were under new management and the cost would be more. I had them estimate the cost which came to $580. I declined to proceed with the window cleaning and will now explore other companies.

It went fine – I’d like to do it again if they offer the deal again

It went fine. They were professional, friendly, helpful and did a good job. Maybe a bit pricey because rather than charge per window, they gave a flat rate for ten windows and I only had eight, but still I'd use them again as my windows are sparkling clean.

They were very professional, used foot protection, they were very clean and even moved some furniture. The windows are absolutely beautiful! I am extremely happy with the service and will use them again!

These guys are just terrific. They called back, sent the insurance documents to the landlord, came early, called to check the address, and did a great job with a smile. Washed the windows inside and out

After some initial confusion as to the original date of service they came the next day on time and did an excellent job.

Windows are clean and nothing broken

I thought this would end as badly as it began but I was wrong . The man who took the order was inept- he promised a Tuesday 9am appointment then at 3pm on Monday wrote ASSUMING I would be fine w him changing it to 11am! The reason for this he explained was bc another job ran long and they needed to go back to finish it . My question was "why must my appt be inconvenienced bc you were unable to finish?" He then said they could be to me by 9:30 or 10. I work and needed to have them show up promptly at 9 - he wouldn't promise that due to "potential traffic and parking issues". At this point I knew I was dealing with an idiot that would make me late for work so I changed the appt to 3pm on a Sat. To my surprise they showed up promptly at 3, put booties on the minute they came in, were organized and professional and did a TERRIFIC job . These guys redeemed the scheduler! Would definitely use them again but this time will hope the dopey scheduler is off the day I call for the appointment

I took the day off and got up early to remove everything from my windows. They arrived fifteen minutes late, and immediately started pointing out everything that they couldn't do and would cost extra. From the minute they walked in, I got the sense that they were going to charge me much more. I was prepared to pay a slight amount more, but not based on the way they acted. Not to mention, I've had my windows cleaned before through a Big Deal, and not only were there no problems, but it was only $99. At least the woman I spoke with in the office at Clearity was nice and professional. She was the only good part of this experience.

They never showed up for the scheduled appointment made over a week ago to get ready for an open house to brokers. No call - didn't return any messages left. Finally reached them today and they offered to come next week - after I would need them. They then had the nerve to change the price quote by over $150 additional. They are horrible and unprofessional.

A bit of a bumpy start with these people: On the morning of the first date we set up to have our windows cleaned, Ivan contacted us to cancel. We rescheduled for the week following. On the rescheduled date, we were informed that the person sent to do the windows was running late. He eventually showed up two hours late. HOWEVER: The person was friendly and professional, put in considerable effort cleaning all three, large windows that had not been washed externally for some twenty years, and left us with sparkling, clean windows. All in all, despite the extreme tardiness, we are happy with the work, and would use them again.

The guys were very professional, took great care working around my furniture and did an overall great job on the windows. I will use them again, and highly recommend them.

Ivan did a good job washing all the windows. They're crystal clear. The one thing that I was a little disappointed with is that all my shade drawstrings came loose afterwards. My child-protective shade drawstrings were attached to the wall on the side of the window frame. They had to be unscrewed in order to open the windows for cleaning. But reattaching them meant that the screws and anchors all came loose. I had to go to Home Depot to buy some bigger and better anchors to reattach. This is not really Ivan's fault. I blame the shade installer (Home Depot) more than them because they should have used better anchors to begin with. Overall, I'm still very satisfied and am using them again!

The main problem is that now one window is suddenly will not lock., Opening and shutting is very difficult. I believe that it was replaced off-track. It could have been broken. I have called Clearity twice to ask them to swing by and put the window back on track. They have not returned my call. The windows were cleaned better this year than last, but they need to have the professionally to take care of a mistake. Two other things, I had let go, but ticked me off a bit: Over the phone, we were given a quote for each window. When the service person arrived, he asked us what the quote was. I could not remember where I had written it down. When I found it, I realized the service person had charged us a couple of bucks over the quote per window. It wasn't that big a deal, so we let it go. But when my spouse paid him cash, he did not give a receipt. Normally, my spouse would be on top of this, but he was really busy that day, and it went passed him. I am disappointed at their lack of professionally, and hope the guy didn't break our window.

They were excellent! They were very prompt and clean. The did the work in a timely manner. We are actually considering having them back out next year.

Ivan is a professional through and through. They came, were meticulous, quiet, extremely respectful and careful, not one drip of water on my light gray rugs. The wiped down each window pane in addition to the windows, other window washers had not done this. They had to work under and over IVY, on fire escapes, and ladders, as we live in a small walk-up building in the West Village, and you could'd approach the windows easily from the inside as we have built-ins under every window. They cleaned the windows with great care and the windows are now sparkling clean: No streaks, no gunk still in the corners, they missed not a smidgen of dirt. We are thrilled with Ivan and his company and will absolutely use them again and refer them to our friends and neighbors.

They ran pretty late; but they did a great job. I was impressed that there was no mess. Very neat, and efficient.

It went very well. They were very courteous and did an excellent job. I would definitely recommend them and hire them again.

They did a great job of cleaning the windows and make a concerted effort to work around structural issues. For example, I have a double-set of windows in the bedroom for soundproofing and they went the extra mile to get them clean despite the tight operating space.
