CALABRESE REALTY

As far as I can tell, Remax Metro - Calabrese doesn't care about anything. I guess they are making too much money to care about the tenants, one way or the other. The apartment was cheaply made. The hole cut in the wall for the AC sleeve was cut free hand, with no guidance, so there were huge gaps in places. One of the faucets was the wrong style, so the plunger was locked in one place. The wall prevented you from opening and closing. Etc. If something breaks, the super will fix it, but that is about all you get. If there are any problems with other tenants, Calabrese won't do anything. Noise, pot smoking outside, threats, cars blocking others in the garage, etc. You can get away with anything. Most of my neighbors were great, but all it takes is 1 or 2 bad people to ruin the place. And Calabrese will rent to anyone just to get the initial fee, so don't expect any screening of your neighbors. The locations of the apartments can be nice, but they are not cheap. For the money you pay, you don't get anything more than 4 walls and a roof in a good neighborhood. Most of the regular staff is friendly, but the top doesn't care if you live or die. I got to be friends with someone who worked there and know they don't care and knowingly rent an inferior product.
