Call for an appt came quickly but charged $381 for locks that clearly the tech didn't understand slam lock and by the time I went downstairs a bolt lock replaced another bolt lock and to which two sets of keys were made on two different occasions and both were unable to open or lock the new installed bolt. Tech wanted to replace the bolt with a slam lock for additional $175 and was told because he came out that a service fee was charge of $30 stating that he had to travel so far from the other side of Bklyn and gas and time yet we have the same zip code and that the service fee will not be charged if I replace the new lock that was already paid for and installed a couple days ago (BEWARE) will never never never ever use this service nor anyone else should. I thought that the two A reviews were really good and that they were honest but boy was I wrong.

Amazing really. I called, they came 20 minutes later, installed the lock and that was that. Cut keys to my old lock too - that lockwas fine, they did not try to sell me a new door handle lock that I really didn't need.

I had originally gone to another locksmith that was recommended by my friend but he was very unpleasant. I then went to Brooklyn's Best and they were very nice. They were very cordial and very willing to explain things and not treat you like a dumb blonde because you ask questions. The first locksmith had me so upset that I just walked out of there. He was very obnoxious but these people were very nice. Their price was less by $50 than what the other person had quote for a lock. I found them to be very accommodating and very pleasant. I had a problem with one of the doorknobs loosening up and they came right away and fixed it, and this was a year after they had done the work. They charged for the service call but it was not a lot of money. They tightened up everything and realigned everything and it was fine.
