We have been in business for over 24 years and the owner, Kevin has been in the industry since 1979! Our services include design, helping you develop a quality, state of the art design and implementing that design by providing very qualified, clean and reliable installation. We specialize in developing your "green technology" for home and business. We assist you by eliminating the need to hire other contractors for alarm, home theatre, data/internet, whole house audio, CCTV etc. We coined a phrase over twenty years ago, "IF IT HAS A WIRE, WE DO IT"

Breen showed up at my house but refused to do the work. He billed me for it anyway. When I refused to pay for no work, he sued me and lied in court and won his case. (He implied he has "friends in court".) You already have the story with details.

Excellent service. We had to change the electrical panels in our home due to insurance "recommendation" We called Breen Electrical since we knew they were licensed contractors and had dealt with them many years ago. What could be a stressful experience was made easy by Kevin Breen Electric. The job was scheduled, the work was done very professional and they took care to clean up. I will need additional work in the future and will definitely use them again. I read the reviews from other customers and I am very surprised. Are we talking about the same company? The office personnel worked with us around our schedule to have the work done once the heat wave left us. Since the service to the entire house had to be shut down, we wanted to make sure that it was done on a cooler day. Breen electric was very accommodating and performed the work in a speedy, professional and responsible way. They cleaned up and left the place in perfect conditions.

"[removed member name] was found guilty in a NYS civil court of not paying Breen Electric! [removed member name] reaction to the judge and her decision, "I'm still not paying so she appealed the decision in NYS Appellate a Court. Well she lost there too! [removed member name] with interest and penalties paid significantly more than we billed for. So it should be noted, Angie's List provides a venue to s two time guilty defendant the venue to trash a rather good contractor in business for twenty years ! Shame on you Ms Morey and shame on you Angie!"

Back in February, Breen came to my home to spec out electrical work. The job included a new electrical panel, a transfer switch for a whole house generator and and (1) 20 amp service run to the back yard.
After a week had passed without any word from them, I contacted Breen via email. They informed me that they had not been in the office to put together a proposal, but that you would get back to me within the next week.
I haven't heard from Breen since.
The summer is upon us and by now, I'd hoped to have this work completed. I'm uncertain as to why Breen never followed through. Perhaps they were too busy or maybe the job was too small. Whatever the reason for Breen to leave me hanging like this, it is unacceptable. If they were unable or uninterested in doing the work, they should conduct themselves professionally and explained why so that I can move on and find someone that had the time and valued my business.

"[memeber name removed should recall two things I did mention to him when I did the site visit. First February 2013, we were extremely busy performing repair work for the homes damaged in the Sandy storm and flood. Secondly, I told [member name removed] the property dimensions did not clear the required distance necessary to clear the neighbors property line. I believe [member name removed] did reach out to me after my site visit and yes, I was swamped! My mistake, I should have told [member name removed] I was unavailable!"

Breen was terrible.  Though the quality of work was fine, everything else was miserable.  First, a job they said could be done in a week took almost 3 weeks.  Second, they charged 50% more than Blaze (long story why we went with Breen instead).  Third, they left the place a mess.  If anyone is interested, I can email pictures of the absolute mess Breen left in a newly finished space -- garbage, wires, soda cans, and permanent scratches on a newly finished floor.   Breen was demanding payment even while his workers left the place looking like this. There are many good electricians around, Breen Electric is simply NOT one of them.  Don't give them your business unless you want to run the risk of delayed work and a damaged home.

"The member is nothing less than a vindictive liar! We provided him with a service that was licensed and professional. The problem is the member hired many other contarctors on this job that were UNLICENSED! for him to say we forced him to pay 50% more in comparison to other contarctors in absurd, not in this economy. The member was the customer from hell, cancelled times we were to meet on job, prevented us from working when we had previously agreed to work and at this point the damage he alleges we caused, 2-3 inch scratches, I compensated him for these scratches even though the other unlicensed contarctors denied any involvement. It was easier for me to compensate the member and be finished with him. Now he spends his time all over the internet bashing us while he clearly is a small minded man! Get a life member!"
