Blaze was great - I called them in the morning, they arrived early afternoon, worked quickly and neatly, fixed it all in no time and were so pleasant to deal with. They were very reasonable in price and I'll never call anyone else again!

The appointment was originally scheduled for Monday, but Frank called and asked me if we could reschedule to Tuesday because he was backed up. That was okay with me. The repairman came early on Tuesday and did the work in a professional and pleasant manner. The doorbell and the intercom work fine now. I would use Blaze in the future.

Everything went very well. They were very courteous and professional. They came over right away and did the job correctly.

They came in less than one hour. They called Con-Ed to put the work order in to solve the problem, and explained how we possibly can get reimbursed from Con-Ed.

He is responsive, he comes right away and he gets the job done quickly in one day. I am happy with his services, his workers always clean up after themselves, they are very conscientious to clean up their mess. I have recommended them to other people, they are also available 24/7, if anything happens he is there and he is dependable, which is great! He also gives you a decent price!

The electrician arrived promptly after calling and quickly identified this issue. He did a great job fixing the problem and was courteous and friendly. Overall, a great experience.

I was most impressed with the way the company ("Frank") responded to a complaint. The technician arrived as promised -- even earlier! -- and quickly diagnosed and corrected the problem but....he did not accept the Angie's List "first time user" coupon claiming it did not apply to credit card transactions and charged an additional $30 in cash for the replacement part (again not accepting the coupon). After he left I called the company and Frank agreed not only to honor the coupon when he processes the credit card charge but to also deduct the $30 I was charged for the part.

I would highly recommend Blaze Electric. Earlier in the week I called for an estimate for two ceiling fans. Frank told me the fee and scheduled an appointment for this morning. Frank was right on time and intalled the fans with out any problems. He was pleasant & thorough. Also, despite my not mentioning it when he quoted me the price, I asked if he apply the Angie's List Coupon. He was happy to apply the additional discount. The fans look and work great. I will definitely use Blaze Electric again!

He solved our electrical problem. Our lights were not working in our bathroom and they were shorting out the rest of the house. We had 2 handymen try to fix it to no avail. He came and was able to fix in in a flash! He was very nice and more inportant, he did great work!!! I would call him again. Thanks Angie

Spoke with Frank C a few times to get cost estimate and then schedule visit. He is a bit on the cranky side and rather impatient in conversations. Had a final call with him on a Monday to confirm the visit for a Wednesday morning. Was a bit worried since the whole transaction was rather casual with Frank barking out comments. On the appointed day, "K" showed up promptly on time at 9 am (and I was a little relieved it was not crabby Frank). K was polite, well spoken and got down to business right away, easily completing all 3 installations. Was very pleasant to work with and did a great job with the new fan. So great when things get done and once again, I completely trust Angie's List.

Blaze Electric was easy to make an appointment with and showed up promptly. He was a neat and polite worker. It was 2.5 hours from arrival to completion of job. They did a great job but I thought the price was high and didn't like that they didn't quote me a price before starting the work. I was happy to get the job done though at a time that was convenient to me. I would probably use Blaze again because they were efficient, punctual and neat

Because the entire panel was being replaced, there was no electricity to power up a fan or the A/C and it was about 95 degrees in the middle of July! Still, the guys worked diligently and completed the work in the estimated amount of time they gave me (8 AM til 12 PM). The electricians explained to me exactly what had to be done and why. They even went above and beyond the scope of work and connected extra circuits we had added. They tested all the circuits before they left and cleaned up after themselves. When they were finished the new panel looked great and we've had no problems in the last six months. We have another renovation job coming up and I am definitely going to call them again.

It did not go well at all until I called Frank, the owner, mid-way in the job, to ask how he calculated hourly work because his men were giving me an exorbitant figure to replace one wire from an overhead light to a switch a few feet away. He said he would talk to them. He did and then called me back, cutting the figure almost in half. Start to finish: Two men arrived on time. They took down the old fixture, said the wiring was bad, and said all the wires coming into my fixture were bad, I could have a fire. I was worried so when they said they could replace the bad wire but it would take longer than they had scheduled for, i thought they were going to replace a bunch of wires leading into the fixture, especially when he said the job would be $475. They would have to open the wall but wouldn't be repairing the wall. I agreed to it. They had another job to go to in Manhattan (I'm in Brooklyn) and said they'd would return in a few hours. I thought the price was high. They also it had to be in cash. I wasn't happy about that but they insisted, saying I would save by not paying tax and they would give me a receipt for my records. After they left, i called a friend more knowledgeable than I about wiring who said the price was ridiculous and I should call the owner. A minute later, Blaze's man called to say he decided to do my job now. I wondered what happened to that Manhattan job and was feeling more uneasy about these two men. I noticed their van didn't say "Blaze Electric". So, the men are contractors or work by the job. When they returned, I asked what he was going to do for $475. He said run a new wire from the overhead light to the plate, and put in a new switch. Not replace a bunch of wires, as I assumed. Now I knew I was being ripped off. I said, "How is that $475? Most people charge by the hour." He said, "Oh, I can do better than that for you," but wouldn't give a figure. I called the owner. Frank. He asked how long they'd been there. They were almost done. I calculated one-and-a-half, maybe two hours. Frank was upset and said he'd call them. I asked him how he charged. He said $125 for first hour, $50 per hr thereafter, more on weekends, plus parts. That was reasonable. The parts here were just a switch and a few feet of wire. Frank called me back after speaking to the men. He said the fee would be $275 and I could pay in cash, check or credit card, that he runs an honest business and was upset about the figure I was given, that he values Angie's List customers. I paid by check. Now his men were sullen and barely spoke to me. I suspect they rip off customers and Frank as well. Be warned: Call the owner while the men are still there before paying, and check things out before paying!

Frank was very responsive to my initial calls. He gave a fair estimate at the get go and stuck to the estimate in the end. The people he sent were conscientious, professional and good communicators.

We wanted a new ceiling fixture installed (which turned out to need a new wall switch) and we were concerned about some of the wiring/breakers in our home being overloaded (old brownstone) and wanted an inspection of the boxes and electrical service in general. Steve from Blaze came out quickly, listened to our concerns, thoroughly inspected the wiring/boxes, and clearly explained what needed to be done. After we talked through what projects we were going to tackle first, we scheduled a time for him to come back a few days later to complete the work, which was done quickly and professionally. We plan on using Blaze to complete some larger projects including upgrading the breaker boxes in our home and wiring some new wall outlets.

I was able to get an appointment much sooner than I anticipated. They weren't able to give me an exact time of arrival, but called to let me know their status and arrived within the time frame they stated. They were courteous and professional, friendly and focused on getting the job done. We ran into a snag when it was discovered that the old ceiling fans could not be repaired and he recommended replacing them entirely, light kit and all. This meant that I had to order new ones and have them come back. I did this and they wrapped both jobs into one payment, trusting that I would call them when the new fans came in. They cleaned up and packed the old fans in the new boxes so that I could easily dispose of them. Frank is an "old school. my handshake is my contract " kind of business person. Refreshingly trustworthy and proud of his craft and his staff. It was a pleasure doing business with them--they even made the bad news about the fans needing total replacement work out just fine, because he explained that all the replacement parts together would cost more than new ones. I used the opportunity to purchase prettier fans. They also recommended lowering the fans a bit because of the high ceilings and this worked out very well, too. Looking forward to having them come back and fix our intercom system once the exterior work is done.

We called for an estimate and arranged it over the phone with the owner. He called and said he was sending an electrician of his to price the job. On the day they didn't arrive at the agreed time and after about half an hour they called to say they were close and were just parking. About 45 or 50 minutes after the appointment time two guys arrived. We showed them around, which didn't inspire confidence as they took no notes nor seemed to be paying careful attention. After about ten minutes they said they had to go as they were on a meter and on the way out gave us a card with a phone number and said they would send a quote. We never heard from them again, which didn't matter as based on their visit we had zero confidence in them.

Everything was good about them. The work was very smooth and clear cut. I was happy with the service, and I had no complaints. There is nothing that I could say was negative, and I have nothing to compare them to either. I would rate them highly.

Frank and the receptionist were wonderful. I was asked to give a time for the worker to arrive, and Frank agreed. The time came and went. I called the receptionist and asked for an ETA. I got a call from the worker to say it would be an hour after the original appointment time. At that time, he called again and said he's almost here. In the end, he arrived an hour and a half after the time we agreed on. He was thankfully quick to do the work .

I called and they were able to come to install my ceiling fan/light fixture the same day. The installer was courteous, professional and competent. The price was reasonable, and they accepted all forms of payment. I will definitely call them again in the future.

I received estimates from different companies; Frank's was the most competitive and also his experience showed because he said that things were possible where other electricians had told me that they were not. After deciding to go with Blaze, I had many questions for Frank which he responded to over email very quickly and thoroughly. On the day of the work, three electricians showed up on time and immediately got to work. They were here for 4 hours and were very courteous, pleasant and hard-working. Where they did have to make holes in the walls to run cables for the living room ceiling fan, they were careful to make sure that holes were small and as few as possible. I'm very happy with the work.

They were thorough, professional, did a great job and no surprises. They handled all the paperwork and permits. The owner even showed up for the inspection. Excellent service!
