blaze were fine, solid. my wall needed patching afterwards & the electrician gave me a name/number of a guy with whom i made an appointment, BUT that guy never showed, had the "full voicemail" notification on his mobile, then only called me a few days later. that's a knock against the overall experience of course.

Two very capable and professional electricians did a great job.

we had an old but damaged light switch for the cellar. Blaze replaced the switch. They also replaced a damaged electric outlet. The came as arranged, did the work quickly and efficiently, and charged what they said they would. Everything went well.

I called on Thursday afternoon and left a message. Frank, the owner, called back within 2 hours and we spoke about the work I needed done. He quoted me a price over the phone that I felt was reasonable ($250). He said that he could have someone there the next day after 12 pm. but that he would call and given us a 1 hour notice when they were on their way. He called us the next day around 10 and said that if we wanted, he could send someone a bit earlier, around 11, but if that wasn't convenient they could come at the pre-arranged time. We agreed to have him come at 11. The electrician, also named Frank (no relation) arrived on time and I showed him the two fixtures to be replaced. Before opening up the fixtures, he explained that if the ceiling fan boxes was old, they might need to be changed. He indicated that this was a safety issue. However, both of the boxes turned out to be the correct, modern type so he didn't need to change them. While completing the job he was pleasant and friendly and answered all of my questions. I thought he did a great job of installing both of the fixtures. There was a bit of a glitch with the remote controls. Since the 2 fans were the same make and model, the same remote turned on both fixtures. After some adjustments of the codes on the remotes and the fan, he was able to set them up so they worked correctly. He cleaned up the area well. The price he quoted was the price I paid. I was very pleased with the work. I would use them again and would also recommend them to my friends.

He was in and out within 30 minutes. Very quick and professional. Tracked down the problem in no time.

The men that came were very courteous, they explained why I had my problem. I will use them again in the future I was very satisfied with the experience.

I called and left a message. They got back to me in minutes, set a time to come and said they'd call to confirm. Later they said they were ahead of schedule and could they come earlier. But I'd already re-arranged my schedule, and they said, No problem, they'd keep the original tims. They did. An electrician and a helper came out. I described the problem, they traced the problem (it wasn't obvious to me, but it was to them) and corrected it. There was some work that had been done by the contractor who renovated the house that I'd thought was substandard, and the specific problem I had Blaze correct was almost certainly dur to that. So they cleaned up some of the other deficient work during the time they were here.

My power outlets went out in my living room. Blaze quickly figured out the problem and fixed it. Price was good and they came on time.

Nothing since they wisely advised me on the phone how to save time and money and use an air conditioner service.

I was very pleased with their service. They were reasonably priced. The workers were all very professional.

Our house is fairly old and had a lot of older, unusable electrical sockets. I also needed a new socket put in for a modern dishwasher that I had ordered. Also, I wanted a ceiling fan installed in my children's bedroom. Steve Belsito made the arrangements to have two of his guys (Mike and Frank) complete the work within two days of my call. Mike was on site doing estimation within one hour of my call. Mike and Frank got the job done before lunch, keeping the job sites clean and letting us know of any issues as they went. The ceiling fan looks great. The dishwasher is ready to go. We have 9 new electrical sockets (which solved some problems with surge protectors showing wiring faults). All in all, extremely pleased and plan to have them out again to adjust some existing wiring in the near future (too much load on two of our circuits).

The required electrical work required a technician to come to my house. I was told at the beginning of the week that I would receive a call Thursday afternoon about Friday morning. I got the call a day early and the Blaze electrician was able to come Thursday morning. The work was mainly troubleshooting on some faulty wiring already in place.

We have had no problems at all. They were very fast and efficient and we are very satisfied.

Second time I have used Blaze Electric. Mike, the electrician from Blaze Electric, was dispatched to my building in Brooklyn by Frank Caporale. Mike reset the breaker and installed a cable to the dishwasher. I'd had a tremendous amount of work done to upgrade the electricity in the building about three years ago, and somehow the dishwasher line to the top floor apartment had not been reset. Mike corrected a dangerous situation in which the dishwasher was being plugged into an inappropriate outlet. I have read the complaints about Frank Caporale. He may not have received an A in charm school, but I found him direct and efficient.

Phone calls were returned promptly . The company called to confirmthe time on the morning of the appt. The electrician assigned (not the owner) came ON TIME! He was respectful and nice. I explained that I wanted the extension cord removed and an outlet that was up to code put in for safety reasons and to meet insurance standards. He put in the outlet and ran the wires through a proper cable but left the far end of it, which was out of sight for me, still connected to the extension cord and told me he was done. Luckily, I caught sight of a small section of the extension cord and thought to question him. At the cost of another $125 he removed the extension cord and created a proper connection at the source so that the wiring would be up to code in both areas. I can't tell if he was trying to trick me or if he just didn't bother to to do more than the least that was required. I would use this company again but only for jobs that I had enough working knowledge about so that I could try to check the completed work.

Everything was fine! They were quick and efficient.

I think it's hard to explain how it went unless you call him up to experience the rudeness and insulting tone + language yourself - that's actually a good summary. I called and left a message this morning saying that we needed some rewiring done. He called back while I was out and talked to my wife. My wife told me when I got back that he was very rude, arrogant, and simply unpleasant to deal with so she would rather I talk to him. Given all the good reviews, thought I would give him another chance. Just got off the phone with the guy. Words are insufficient here but my paraphrasing will try to convey some of the tone: I started explaining - "My a/c stopped working." He immediately interrupted and told me - sorry buddy we don't deal with a/c - "You didn't let me finish" - ok fine continue then.... "the hvac repairmen said the problem is with the wiring" - ok what's your address ... followed by what felt like 5 minutes of him trying to understand the address and apartment # from me - he either doesn't hear well, wasn't paying attention, or could care less about noting it down. Then said - "My technician will call you at some point and let you know when he can come." - ok, what about pricing? - it's $175 for first half hour and then $50/hour. "Well, do you think he can give me an estimate after the first half hour?" - "Well didn't you hear me? I just told you $175 for first half hour and $50/hour." That's not what I asked, I asked for an estimate. "Ok, well what I mean by an estimate is not what most people mean by an estimate. So ..." Again am not doing justice to the conversation (which was longer than reported above) because it is difficult to reproduce the annoyed arrogant dismissive tone in words. I hung up after a certain point and told him I will post a negative review here.

The initial job was about a year ago and went great! The cost was fairly agreeable as well, so I was hoping to use Blaze Electric for some additional work. We needed one more light installed so I left a message for Frank to see about getting an estimate. He called me back with the most disrespectful tone I could imagine. Not only was I incapable of complete a single sentence. When I asked what his availability was for Friday, he responded with "If installing this light is SUCH a priority to you, then find someone else!" I'm uncertain as to why Frank, or the company, would be so disinterested to make money with a previous client. Perhaps my simple inquiry for additional work had offended him? For your future electrical needs, Blaze Electric could be classified as "hit or miss." I, however, am completely unwilling to put up with such poor customer service. Stay away from Frank unless you want an excruciating earful of unprofessional sass.

Frank Corporale was very direct and no-nonsense. The problem was assessed and corrected. Thank you, Angie's List.

THEY WERE ON TIME AND RESPECTFUL. THEY KNEW ALL THE CODES THAT WERE REQUIRED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF BUILDINGS AND WERE EXPERT ELECTRICIANS. I WAS A SANDY VICTIM AND THEY REPAIRED ALL THE WORK DONE BY A PRIOR ELECTRICIAN WHO DIDN'T KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING. I WILL NEVER USE ANY OTHER ELECTRICIAN!!

Great, they showed up when they said they would and did the job quickly, cleanly and made our tenant happy.

Frank was great that he responsed to me on a Sunday for an emergency call. He even returned my complain call. But I'm very busy and not that much money to ask for it back. Long story short, I was told that $175 for the first halft hour. The clock starts ticking when his M. techician called outside our building. He came in without any tools, took him 10 minutes to get his very basic tools. He refused to check to see if the ground wire is hot and said that belongs to utility company. The rest 15 minutes I had to listen to his BS. Refused to change my light bulb and said that he is there for hot wire, not to change my light bulb. When the time to pay, he said cash only, no checking or credit card. When he saw that I had no cash in my purse, he said he can wait for me to go to an ATM machine... The company maybe great but I had this terrible experience with their M. technician that I don't want to attempt a second try. One is too many.

I've used these people in the past. Even though they are a bit pricey, they show up quickly and get the job done. But the good reviews on Angie's List may have gone to their heads. The arrogant man who returned my phone call today would not let me get a word In edgewise and treated me with astonishing contempt. Not a good sign. Time to move on to someone who wants the work.

He was friendly over the phone. He kept his word and his worker was polite and efficient.

No work was performed, they never returned my phone call.
