David and Daniel did excellent work. They were on time, kept me informed and confirmed their appointments the nights before, and remediated all the mold in one side of our basement. They were careful to move and move back our washer and dryer. They were very courteous personable, but also professional.

He had some kind of little equipment where he said he was testing the air and an infrared light.  At the time of the test, he didn't find moisture in the air.  After they called to give me the results they said they did find mold.  My problem is that they only take a swab and remove the mold but they don't open the ceiling to see if it has spread.  It is impossible to see if it has spread without opening it. I don't think it was a good way of estimating mold in the contaminated area and I was disappointed in this.

We paid Apex more than the going rate, thinking that you get what you pay for.  Unfortunately, they did barely any work (essentially just brought in big HEPA filters and left them there for a while), and after some research, we learned that they have lied about their credentials - the accrediting organizations had never heard of them, and forced them to take down their logos. 
When we began legal proceedings against them for consumer fraud, they settled with us, but we never got back the full amount we spent, the time we wasted, and we had to find another company to do the mold abatement.  The new company - which did a solid job - confirmed that Apex hadn't really done anything, there was still plenty of mold around, and that they had taken samples incorrectly, vastly overestimating the amount of mold in the first place.
Don't waste your time, your money or your health with this rip-off artist.

They are reliable.

He said when he came to my home that I don't see any mold at your home. When I got the report it said that I did. They said we need to clean the air even though their is no visible mold at my home. This is the same guy that is answering the phone at Big Apple Mold removing this is very strange to me. I'm not sure if this is a legit company.

My husband came home at 8 p.m. on a Thursday night to find 8 inches of water in the basement and more pouring in --- the result of a broken pipe. He found Apex on the web and spoke with David who said they would come over at 9 the following day. Overnight the water drained from the basement. The APEX people arrived on time and moved everything that was in the basement upstairs and/or outside; set up equipment, measured the moisture in the air, and left with two rugs to be cleaned. They came back to measure the moisture on succeeding days. They communicated with our insurance company and returned our cleaned rugs. They were pleasant and professional. Our only complaint was that they were a little slow to return a final call from our insurance company (though the wait on hold was lengthy so it was somewhat understandable.) -- this delayed our check.
