I would recommend Sylvain Marie to anyone and everyone. He is a craftsman and a perfectionist par excellence.

The refinishing came out great. We plan to have him come back every four months to touch the elevator panels up. This was real "old school" European type of work. And he was cheaper than any of the other overblown bids we got. I can't recommend this guy enough! Joe P

Excellent work, easy communication, p/u and delivery of my piece on time and as promised!

Owner, Sylvain Marie, made appointment for looking at job, showed up on time and gave estimate. Date for job was scheduled; he arrived on time, worked all day and completed the repair very satisfactorily. When at the end a tiny misalignment showed, he disassembled, fixed and made it perfect. At end cleaned up neatly, helped put back everything in place. I plan to use him for other repairs/restorations and would recommend him highly.

Sylvain made an appointment to see the table that I wanted repaired. He was punctual and gave me a quote. I also showed him the credenza (which is huge) and he told me that he could do it on sight. He told me his schedule was tight and he would e-mail me when he could pick up the table. In less than a week he picked up the table and about three days later he made an appointment to deliver the table and do the veneer work. He was punctual. The drop leaf table is wonderful. I finally will be able to be used the table. But the credenza is magnificent. I had been staring at those areas where the veneer had been missing for years and now it is so beautiful. Sylvain Marie is an Artist. I know that I will be using him again.

Sylvain found appropriate replacement casters and fixed the trim on this great antique settee. Made it look beautiful! Would definitely call him again for additional work.

Sylvain was prompt, pleasant, and reliable. He did excellent work on the table and left it with a deep rich color and shine.

He was efficient and fairly quick. He took about half-a-day which is not too bad and it looks good. He is a nice man. He was good. He charged more than he would have.

It went beautifully! he gave me estimates and stuck to them both times. He came to pick up the items exactly when he said he would and he notified me when they were ready and then delivered them back to me exactly when he said he would. He did some refinishing here in my home and was very neat and tidy, leaving no trace of dust even after sanding. Sylvain was very sensitive to the character of my old furniture and treated each piece with respect and understanding of their different styles. I am completely delighted with the results: both pieces now look beautiful and function well!

Was prompt hard working resourceful and capable. Matching parts for repair was complicated but was completed to our satisfaction. Sylvan was a pleasure to work with.
