Extremely well. Al is very competent and so are all men who work with him. They are prompt, proficient and well-priced. We are very pleased to have found them and will definitely be using them for many jobs around our new home- they are already contracted to do some cement work for us.

I hired Al’s General Construction to take on a job started by another contractor who had left my apartment in a shambles. Al’s General Construction has a professional, skilled team that worked miracles—within days, all the debris had been removed and work commenced on finishing grouting and tile work in the bathroom, connecting the plumbing, installing a large medicine closet and all bathroom fixtures as well as putting up the wainscoating and molding. Their work continued on schedule and included sheet rocking, installing a second entranceway, sealing the exposed brick fireplace, the installation of all lights and ceiling fans and other electrical work as necessary It also included the installation of wood flooring throughout the apartment with vinyl sheeting in the kitchen. Their painting of the apartment was superb with attention to small details that highlighted the 10sfoot high ceilings and the old original molding. I ended up with a showcase apartment and also had the opportunity to work with a great team. Asif, Al’s son, did an excellent job of managing the entire remodeling process, keeping me informed of work as it progressed, always reachable if I had questions, and repairing small problems that arose at no extra cost. The team was punctual, friendly, courteous, and totally trustworthy. Without a doubt, I would call upon Al’s General Construction for work in the future.

I have an older home and i wished they would have been more responsive to my requests. I also would have liked for them to be more professional.

As always, Asif and his crew did the work carefully and quickly and were able to work around my schedule. For the last year now he's been my go-to contractor when larger problems arise with my old house in Brooklyn. His prices are great and the quality of his work is excellent. He's also able to evaluate the bigger picture and his solutions to the current problem frequently include some additional low-cost work that addresses the next long-neglected link in the chain that will save me playing whack-a-mole and having to do another big fix in the future. (in this case a couple updates to some adjacent lines which were in sorry shape, better done now when the walls were open and before problems escalated). After several projects with him now, I really appreciate his input when I'm weighing cost/benefit and he's been a great collaborator on fixing up this house.

As before with the stucco and other exterior work, Asif and his crew did an amazing job and gave me a great price. Their work is consistently done on time (or before) and the quality is excellent and the worksite is clean at the end of the day. In this case the wood they replaced looks great and everything was sealed properly, the gutters look and work perfect and the new brickwork and finish painting are flawless. I feel very lucky to have found such a dependable contractor to work with on the parts of this old house that are beyond the scope of my own knowledge. They've done a huge amount of work for me over the past year and I know the next job I have is going to them. Thanks!

They were very punctual and professional. We had to schedule a second appointment because the leak in the wall was not caught the first time but it has since been patched and there's no leaking since. They cleaned up the work area after they were done and I'm very satisfied with their service and highly recommend them.

Mason used an electric grinder to grind down damaged mortar seams and fill with fresh mortar.The next day,I washed deck down with my hose.and noticed he missed Many bad seams.I called the company next day spoke to the mason.He said no problem, he would come by and fix it.When he saw the missed seams, he wanted an extra $200.00 to fix seams that should have been done in the beginning.

Asif and his crew coordinated around my schedule and were able to get this repair done quickly and cost-effectively compared to other quotes I got. They protected the work area well and were able to work delicately around my kitchen cabinetry and the nearby structural elements to complete this without causing bigger problems or making a huge mess. I hired this company to do exterior work on my house last year and had a great working relationship with them. As a new homeowner with a laundry list of improvements and repairs to make, its great to have a few people you can call, whose work and price-structure you can trust. These guys are at the top of that list for me, and they are genuinely good people on top of that. Thanks so much!

Sidewalk replaced eight months ago. Now falling apart! I am ready to sue these people. They refused to even answer my mail. Angie's list tried to contact them to negotiate, they refused.

The work was fine but their responsiveness to phone calls and questions was slow, sketchy. The work quality was ok. In terms of the question "would I hire again", rather than simply yes or no, I think my best answer would be maybe because the price quote was good.

They never contacted me after the purchase so I requested a refund from Angie's list

Used Angie's list coupon which was pre-paid. As with some of the other reviews, company never responded. I'm very disappointed with Angie's list to claim they vet their contractors. Seems like Angie is all about the money. I'll give homeadvisor a try in the future for any of my needs. Sorry Angie, poor (customer) service will open a window for competition to kill a business.

Called several times. Finally someone showed up and said it would be done next week. Never heard from them again

Bottom line: Asif and his crew did an amazing job on the exterior of my house. I took estimates from several contractors for the repairs to the crumbling stucco facade on my recently purchased house. I found this company through Angies List. Asif provided me with a number of options, and recommendations for how to fix several gaping cracks, replace several windows, repair some steps and brick work and paint the exterior. I was impressed by his professionalism, honesty, and ultimately the quality of the work. This is a family company and the pride in the finished product is clear. I'm a somewhat handy guy myself and was consistently pleased to watch the careful work unfold on the exterior of the house while I did my own renovations inside. Asif checked in with me often to see that I was happy with the work and was communicative throughout. Even when I had to leave town for a few weeks for a job, I felt relieved to know this crew was there working. They stuck to the timeframe originally presented and I could always trust the quality of their work without having to look over their shoulders. I was so impressed with Asif and his crew that I also hired them for some additional plumbing work, which was performed with the same speed and quality. I've also recommended him to friends and neighbors. Most recently my ex-landlord thanked me for putting her in touch with them, telling me she was so happy to have their help with a large bathroom remodel. It's a relief to know you're getting quality work at a fair price and to be able to trust the people you're working with to get it done on time. Can't recommend these guys enough.

I changed my plans to accommodate a scheduled estimate and they were a no call; no show. I have called several times without a call back finally leaving a message that I was calling Angie's List to report them.

They never answered my phone messages let alone showed up. I would never work with this guy again.
