Description of Work: I hired the contractor for a 8 hour job. They were scheduled to come at 8am, they called me the night before and said that they would come between 10am- 11 am. I specifically told them over the phone that I wanted two rooms painted and the wall of a small bathroom. They came at 11: 15 AM and saw the job, they agreed. They both stayed inside one room, spent 4 hours inside and then told me that if I needed the rest of the rooms painted that they would charge additional $350. It seriously does not take 4 hours for 2 men to paint a room. When my husband questioned one of them, he said that they didn't only paint but they fixed some Cracks in the wall. Now I will be heading out to go purchase a paint brush so I can finish the job myself.

Description of Work: Nothing bc it took them 6 weeks to even do a consultation for a job they were paid for and was scheduled six weeks before so I decided , as with every single other package I purchased on Angie's list , they were unresponsive and despite having contacted Angie's list , they didn't even attempt to provide the service until literally contacted over and over 6 full weeks after they were meant to. They then also had the audacity to tell me I'd need more hours after having waited 6 weeks they couldn't even just offer to complete the job. Like every other package I purchased on Angie's list, all with 100 per cents and A reviewed service providers they were terrible, unresponsive, and clearly didn't couldn't care less, nor did the team at Angie's list, about providing the service bc they had already been paid to do it.

Description of Work: Installed stairs, he pointed the bricks on the back steps, repaired loose bricks. for the front door they broke up the old stones on the landing and removed the railing, and installed blue stone for 3 steps and installed blue stone tile on the landing. they also pointed the bricks on the front steps. they cleaned up their mess and did an excellent job, took 2 days.

+ 3 moreI hired Al General Contracting a few months ago to renovate an apartment in my mom’s home. They did an AMAZING job... Not only was the price good but they were able to work with me on my schedule. Every one of their employees were polite and a pleasure to deal with, The owner was always at the job site and kept everything clean. I kept hesitating on doing this project cause I didn't have anyone I really trusted and never had the best of luck with contractor’s, Till I met Al, his son and the rest of the guys. The job was done exactly on time. I will highly recommend Al General Contracting to anyone. Not only cause of their workmanship and price but the Intangibles. A perfect example is after the job was done they still had the keys to the apartment. I was going to have to take a day off of work to meet a home depot representative who was going to measure for carpets. I work in construction myself so if I miss a day, I lose a days pay. Al’s son offered to meet the representative for the carpets and let him in for me. That is the type of customer service you just don't see anymore. Thank you, thank you and THANK YOU!! I have found my contractor for all my future projects!!
