+ -1 moreA Fed came out when we had our initial home inspection prior to purchase and identified termites in the garage. Sellers hired another company to treat. When we had A Fed return on 9/5 for general pest control they were prompt, friendly, and efficient. When a question arose about one area, Bill came out, and he was so very helpful. He not only put our minds to rest about what was only sugar ants which the treatment took care of, but he checked the garages for us even though they didn't do the treatment, gave us some great information, and also helped us understand what we needed to do to seal our foundation. Obviously way more service than we paid for. Thanks A Fed and especially Bill for a job well done.

+ -1 moreI bought the $99 special for interior and exterior summer extermination. It was very easy to get an appointment within a day or two. When I spoke to Megan, the scheduler, to make the appointment she informed me that they would exterminate the whole inside and outside of my house but she asked for specific problem areas so the exterminator would know where to focus. When the exterminator came I wasn't home, my husband was there. He asked my husband where he should spray and my husband again told him where the problem areas were (ants in the bathrooms, kitchen, living room and porch, spiders in the kitchen, basement and garage). When I got home later that day I found out that the exterminator only sprayed the problem areas and did not spray the whole interior and exterior of the house. The next day I found 4 spiders (kitchen, bathroom, and garage). Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed with the service. I called back and spoke with Megan again who was very nice and accommodating. She sent another exterminator to the house the next business day and this time he sprayed the whole house. Unfortunately, one week later I found 4 ants in my son's bedroom. I'm not sure how long the treatment is supposed to last but 1 week is ridiculous. I don't think there's any point to have them come again. Although we don't see nearly as many ants and spiders, I would have liked to see none at least for a few weeks. Very disappointed!

He sprayed all around the perimeter of the house both inside and outside. He left bait all around the outside of the house and in certain areas inside. I was grateful that they did not try to push a contract of coming back. The man was friendly and courteous.

+ -1 moreOffice staff contacted me when exterminator was within 15 minutes of arriving. I was given a 2 hour window of 11 to 1 and he arrived promptly at 11:15. He inspected all areas and skillfully applied gel bait wherever needed. He followed up with spraying insecticide wherever required. While performing his duties he fully explained all aspects of what he was doing. Exterminator was very professional and friendly.
Description of Work: Treated house with Gel Bait and Insecticide. Placed Glue boards in basement.

Description of Work: Afederal Exterminating was incredible. I have just moved into my apartment not too long ago, and I noticed some silverfish. I had called around to numerous exterminators and finally decided to choose Afederal. They are reasonably priced compared to everyone else, they are in the know about current insect issues around my neighborhood and the girls in the office are just so nice and pleasant. The technician came on time, was kind and knowledgeable. He explained to me that living in an apartment building is tough when trying to deal with unwanted pests, and that I should take a service at least every three months to maintain my problem. I do not feel pressured by some other company's who wanted to force me into a contract, I can choose what day and what time I want service and I could even skip a month if I don't see any problems.. I give Afederal an A for everything, and I will definitely recommend this company as much as possible..

+ -1 moreMy previous exterminator was referred to as "SUPERMAN" a Vietnam War Veteran who gave a d*** about the service he provided. He refused to use chemicals. He rid our building of mice from the first day he serviced thru the (2) years at our building. He would never leave the building without searching and treating the basement and yard areas. This aged man would find every location needing sealant and warned they would have to be redone in a couple years. May he rest in peace. My landlord continues to pay A Federal for the glue trap delivery service, the mice problems are persistant and continuous and so are my complaints to A Federal and my landlord. There has been no relief or change since the start of A Federal "Professional" Exterminating Services. I would appreciate if A Federal would arrive with a resolve, atleast make an effort. There advertisement of "Professional GREEN Services" has proved, in my building treatment, to be a FALSE ADVERTISEMENT.
Description of Work: I live in a 6 family apartment building A Federal has been servicing ("delivering glue traps") since August 2012. The service performed by A Federal entails arriving at the building, asking if I need roach spray or mouse traps. The building tenants have continuously noted there is a mouse problem with A Federals response being to hand the tenants the glue traps and suggesting we place them where the mice are seen. The exterminator walks insided looks behind radiators, stoves then hands you glue traps. The exterminator says they only have glue traps and poison pellets. The last exterminator arrived while I was cooking in the kitchen (dinner time) and suggested he could spray around other areas. I repeatedly remind the exterminator that I do not have roaches, their is a mouse problem. I ask if there is anything they could suggest to me in order to resolve the mouse problem. They hand me glue traps to lay down. I have pets and request they dont lay poison. I woke up one morning to find the mouse had dragged a bag of poison from behind my appliance. I specifically requested no poison because of my pets. I have called A Federal management and asked what is it they do to help rid the home of mice, the snippy reply was "we lay down poison and do not seal any open areas mice get in from". Basically, A Federal is a delivery service of glue traps. I could just as well walk to the corner store and purchase them myself. My landlord and A Federal appear content with the service regardless of the complaints of poor unprofessional service. *The amount noted above is TRULY unknown for the landlord makes payment. I however have spent an extensive amount of time and money on steel wool, sealants and caulking.

+ -1 moreThe job went very smooth. The worst part is that everything had to be removed from the closets . I recently tiled my basement and was worried about damage to the tiles. The tiles held up very well through the drilling. One tile broke in the closet , not bad ! The guys were pretty good . I should have stayed and watched because they missid filling one hole with poison and also it is not corked up but I will call Mike the owner this week and /I am sure he will fix it. I reccomend this business %100.
Description of Work: This is the second time I have had someone here for termites. the first person did not do a full treatment. I realized this after three yrs when they came back . Mike did a fabulous job here ! He drilled everywhere possible inside and out. He gives a two year warranty others give a one year. He did not try to scare me like another guy did. He made me feel confident that everything would be ok. By the way the first guy charged me $750. , drilled all around outside of house and only on half of one wall in the basement. I wasn't looking for a bargain I wanted someone to just do the right job. What did I know. Another estimate came in at about $3,000,00. That was the person that made me feel sick about having termites and he was going to do the same job that Afederal did.
