We were very pleased with the prompt, thorough service. Mariano explained everything to us and even calmed our fears with his honest, professional opinion. We had inquired about additional sampling and he very well could have done it and charged us the additional fees but after inspecting our entire house (he inspected every room) he didn't feel it was necessary. He contacted us as soon as the results were in and explained everything in detail, giving us recommendations on how to remedy our problem.

It went very well. The owner of the company, A-Tech Mold Inspections NY - NJ, Mariano D'Aniello, handled the mold testing for me onsite. He was, through every step of the process, extremely capable, patient, and friendly; and very responsive to my phone calls, texts and emails. Both prior to the test date, during the onsite work, and afterwards, in interpreting the report, which showed no elevated mold levels, Mariano, spent whatever time was needed, to answer any questions that I had. It's very common, these days, for company's to advertise about 'total customer satisfaction'. Few company's deliver on this promise. After noticing some mold in my basement, I decided to have a mold inspection from an independent company that did not also provide mold restoration services. Mariano from A-Tech conducted the inspection. He was extremely profession, thorough and very informative. I received the written mold report in less than a week. I highly recommend A-Tech.

Mariano was great. He did a very thorough mold test of our finished basement. This included air testing and scanning behind walls for moisture. He also tested the air outside our house for comparison. Thankfully, nothing significant was found that we need to be concerned about. Mariano was very professional and friendly. He sent me the lab report, and he discussed the findings on the phone with me. He also suggested a few preventative measures I could take. I definitely recommend him and would use him again.

Mariano is the definition of professional. Before even arriving he was sure to contact me and go over in detail what the inspection entailed and answer and questions I had. He arrived on time and was very courteous with me and my tenant. One thing that is important to stress is that he only does the testing, not the repairing which is what you want so there is no conflict of interest. This was very important to me as I have heard of horror stories where a remediator/repair guy will claim all kinds of damange so they can get the repair work business as well. Not the case here at all. Mariano has all of the proper certificates and licenses as well as the necessary equipment for testing. He then sends it to a lab for results. In my case it was not dangerous, however he did recommend that I have repair person open it up and treat it to prevent anything in the future. I had a few questions afterwards and he always replied promptly even though his work was pretty much done. While inspecting the area, he wanted to make sure it wasn't coming from my roof and even went up to double check it and a couple of other spots in my home as a courtesy. Mariano went above and beyond the call of duty here and I offered to give him a few extra bucks for breakfast but he absolutely refused. This is someone with great integrity and dedicated to doing great work and keeping homes safe. I have the utmost respect for people like that which is why I highly recommend Mariano and I'm glad I found him on Angie's list. I have to say I don't know what I'd do without it as I am a computer geek and this stuff around this house is out of my league for sure!

I was extremely satisfied with Mariano's services. He was easy to work with from a scheduling point of view and was extremely thorough. There was a major mold issue to be addressed but unlike some who would exploit a new homeowner's fears, Mariano put things in perspective: you know what mold is there and can proceed with remediation; it's not the end of the world in terms of your health or home. That said, he takes finding mold and vulnerabilities to mold very seriously and knows how important it is. That balance was particularly useful. He took the time to explore the entire home and I was able to proceed with remediation. His price is very reasonable for the quality of service he provides. I initially thought I might try remediating on my own but because I am highly allergic to mold, hired out. Mariano's company provides only testing services. If I had had extensive mold, I would have asked him for a detailed protocol to use in getting bids from remediation companies. Instead, my situation was contained in one area and the remediation protocol was straightforward. Mariano was nonetheless still willing to advise when the remediation company (who gets high reviews on Angie's List) screwed up. I didn't get recommendations from Mariano because testers and remediators are separate and good testers stay "arms length" from the remediation side in order to remain impartial, but when I had questions about the remediation company's seeming errors, Mariano was willing to answer those and that information helped me get the remediation company back on track. Now the lesson learned with regard to mold abatement: You can hire a "highly rated" remediation company but if you happen to hire them when half of NYC's pipes are bursting, they will potentially chase those jobs and short-circuit doing yours well so you have to be extra careful monitoring the work of whomever you hire for the abatement, especially if half the city needs flooding control/abatement on an emergency basis. Having your tester as an advisor pre-/post- makes all the difference. The remediation company kept pressing for me to use a different post-abatement tester and I knew instantly that meant that they knew they wouldn't get clearance if the air testing was done by anyone else.

Mariano spent an hour examining interior, and exterior walls upstairs and down stairs as well as took air samples on the 1st and second floor. He answered all of my questions and made great suggestions to treat the little mold we had. Furthermore he spent time on the phone with me explaining the report he sent over. Once all was said and done my wife and I felt a great deal more at ease and felt a lot more comfortable treating the mold in the house.

Mariano was fantastic! Took his own time to complete a thorough inspection, answered ALL my questions/concerns. Provided suggestions/recommendations on how the problem could be tackled. Called him for few questions months after services were performed and he answered them all!! I would hire him again, no question about it! Very professional, knowledgeable, and honest person. Mariano went above and beyond our expectations. Not only did he do a thorough inspection and analysis, but he gave us some great advice on how to enhance air quality and what to buy. He offers advice from a consumer point of view and shared some of his own experiences with certain air purifier purchases from over the years. We went with some of his recommendations to pick items up right at Lowes (COMPLETELY UNBIASED), and we couldnt be happier with the outcome, our air quality, and our peace of mind.
