Norwegian Wood

High Prices, prepare for that.. they charge extra for everything possible, from insurance to material.. I don't know anything about the quality of their work since I didn't hire them,, i found come else to do the same sanding job for 1/3 of what they quoted me.... so....

I selected Norwegian Woods after getting 3 estimates, because of the personnel. Everyone was helpful and responsive and positive. the work went exactly as planned, and as outlined on the work schedule which they provided, and the floors are beautiful. I would use them again, and I recommend them unreservedly.

The process was seamless from assessment of the damages, materials, repairs needed, scheduling, and deposits through completion of the job. The demolition team came on the date and time specified and removed all trash efficiently. Then the installation team came in, replacing the sub-flooring and flooring with beautiful, high quality, oak flooring. Everything was fitted and matched expertly. Finally, the finishing crew came in and did an exceptional job of matching the color and sheen of the original flooring. I would dare anyone to be able to tell the difference between the 110 year-old original floor and the repaired areas. When molding was damaged during the repair (unavoidable), Norwegian Wood replaced the molding at no extra cost. The office staff was efficient, professional and pleasant. The estimate was exact. The time line for work and completion was exact. This was a wonderful experience from beginning to end and I would definitely use Norwegian Wood again for my flooring needs.

These guys did a great job on my floor. They were professional and friendly. Work came it perfectly. We are very happy with them and will certainly use them going forward for any repairs that are needed. Since they had just done a lot of work only a month prior, they did not charge me for this new damage.

I received a quote from NW to replace flooring due to water damage. NW was the first quote I got and sent to my insurance company, they told me the rates were very out of line for the job to be performed, I then went to several others who all had much quotes. This is a response to NW's comment - I'm not sure why you think my remarks are "disparaging", I did not write anything negative about the NW's quality, customer service or workmanship which are all subjective. My comment was just related to the price quote to replace floors, my ratings were positive around interaction with your firm. My insurance company were the ones that advised me that the price was not in line and they would not pay, that what prompted me to go to other companies for quotes and received considerable lower quotes. Maybe your quality would have been much better, I don't know (although I am happy with the work that was eventually done) but fact is that the price was much higher than what my insurance company thought was reasonable and when I went out to others your quote was higher, thats all I'm stating in this review. Also, this review was written b/c I Angies List followed up with me numerous times to write a review and I finally did it, I guess one year later.

We had a three inch difference in the floor, and they leveled that. They were excellent. They were very good. They were very professional and knowledgable. We get a lot compliments on our floors and we would definitely use them again.

The contractor did a beautiful job, but they are not cheap.

I don't plan on calling them again.

This is my third job with Norwegian wood. I've always been happy with them. They're not cheap but they're not expensive and they're very good.

They were fine. They did the work as requested. They cleaned up and didn’t leave a mess. I had no complaints about them.

I called them for a price quote. they immeicately gave me a ballpark figure which was way too high and I never used them.

We did not use this provider since we were looking for someone who could save our parquet floor rather than replace it. They were very responsive, came quickly for an estimate, and seemed very knowledgeable about the alternatives. Their price was at the top of our estimates, but that was not a deciding factor..

It went very well. I called and wanted them to use "green" products. They spent a lot of time working through the options (even doing research) in order to give me the best choices. They were concerned both about quality and the toxicity. They were intelligent and so pleasant.

On the phone I sensed some annoyance when I asked a lot of questions after receiving the estimate. I think their estimate was extremely high.

I have done a lot of renovating and have worked with many sub-contractors. Norwegian Wood is my favorite! I have used them for many years when I need floor work done, and they have never disappointed me. In this case, they came to repair and refinish an old wood floor in an office area. They made special arrangements so that the floor would be finished and dry by the time a new tenant was moving in, and the floor looks absolutely beautiful.

They were very professional and did an excellent job with our floors. I was very impressed with the men who came to our co-op and did the work, they were very friendly and were willing to pull up part of a room when we noticed that one of the floor boards was off color (it was purple).

Never did any work but I will be calling them very soon.

I spent $1600 on that service. They did a great job. This was the third time that I used them and I have always hired them back because they do everything the way it is supposed to be done.

Their work was very good quality. They provided very good customer service and follow up. They were highly professional. They may be a little more expensive than others, but they have high quality work.

At the start, they spent a lot of time with me discussing the best approach. When I told them that I basically had no idea what I was doing, they spent a lot of time discussing what options I had, and sent me home with homework! When I told them I wanted to go as "green" as possible, because of sensitivities of my children and myself, they were really helpful. I pushed them to go as green as possible, and they really worked with me. They didn't just give me what I thought I wanted, but took the time to explain what in fact was best for me. They were honest, responsive, and I would definitely use them again.

They did a spectacular job. They matched the color that I wanted exactly. They did a beautiful finish. It was raw wood after someone had rebuilt my entire stair case. They have also completely replaced wood for my floors, stained, and finished them. They are among the best contractors that I have ever had. I have used a lot of contractors because I have done a lot of renovations. They are extremely professional and experienced. They might be a little more expensive, but I thought it was fair because their work is so good. Highly recommend them.

I started knowing nothing about floors. I ended with exactly what I wanted, on time, and on budget. I highly recommend this company. From the first call with Zuba, I knew that I was dealing with professionals.

They seemed fine. Their quote seemed reasonable.

I did not choose these guys for my project. Their estimate for refinishing 600 sq ft of hardwood floors was over two times the next highest estimate. I had them in competition with 4 other floor companies. The company I eventually chose did an amazing job for 30% of the Norwegian Wood estimate.
