Excellent! After arriving home from a beautiful Thanksgiving visit with relatives, I began to remove the homemade food I’d been given. When I opened the fridge, it was HOT! It was amazing and found it hard to believe as this had never occurred before! After speaking with several friends who were knowledgeable in this area, nothing worked. I then made the connection with Jogi from Mr. Appliance. Almost immediately, I felt calmer because he clearly understood my dilemma. A technician was scheduled to arrive in two days. Instead, he called the very next day and informed me that “Carlos” would stop by that same day. He clearly understands the desperateness of my issue! Carlos arrived the next day and resolved my problem. The fridge was feeling colder! Amazing! Carlos was also pretty professional as he was masked and had foot coverings as well. He was knowledgeable, too, as was evident from the questions and comments he mentioned. Jogi was in touch with me throughout this entire process. He clearly “gets it.” He explained every procedure, and I knew what to expect at every juncture. I’m so grateful! I will be contacting Mr. Appliance for all concerns around my apartment in the future that his business may be able to help. It’s incredible to find a trustworthy company with high standards and ethics!

Jogi, the owner was wonderful and even recommended that I consider buying a new appliance instead of fixing it. But when I insisted on fixing it, he sent Carlo, who did his magic and even though he said he wasn't sure he had completely fixed it, he did! My oven was working again and my stove was lighting again. Carlo was fast, insisted on taking off his shoes at my door, was masked the entire time and explained what he had done thoroughly. I would highly recommend Mr. Appliance of Riverdale!

Clinton was gracious throughout the whole process. He was patient as we waited (too long) for the management of my building to approve his insurance paperwork. He explained the possible problems with my stove in advance and was honest at the end when the solution turned out to be the least expensive option of them all. I felt Clinton takes pride in his work and company, and would definitely hire him again.

Jogi contacted me shortly after the job was created. He was courteous. A technician came within 45 minutes, as promised. They did the repair and thus far no problems with the work that was done. My only problem is the cost of the repair. The bill was $500 tax of course for a part that is in the range of $48.00 to $122.89. He was only in my home for less than a half-hour. The estimate would have cost $119, whether or not they did the repair. The repair alone was close to half the price of the range. The invoice which we received the next day (today) did not include the price of the igniter.

His overall work was good and professional. The minor repair that was required, which was akin to tightening a screw appears to be holding so far. What was unreasonable and absurd about this contractor was his pricing. To just come out and diagnose the problem was $159.00. If beyond the diagnoses, a minor repair is required even a very minor repair like tightening a screw, as was the case with me, then that price jumps to $299.00 and for replacing the pump, it was the same cost as buying a new washing machine (i.e. $524.00). Can you spell overcharging boys and girls? I will not be using this contractor again.
