We chose Interior Painters NY because Charles Hernandez, the owner, promised us a clean, attentive-to-detail job with no paint spots on the floor. Unfortunately, the end result was anything but. He ran two days over (even though we had given him a Monday to Friday window, and he chose to begin on the Tuesday), and got sloppier as the job went on. When he ?finished,? he had painted two of the doors in such a way so they would no longer close (he claimed this was weather related, but really he painted them the wrong color?despite very clear verbal and written instructions, and then instead of sanding down the error before repainting, he just slapped more paint on....we had to pay someone else to sand down and repaint the doors). The lines in the bathroom and kitchen are not straight at all, he completely neglected to paint the kitchen baseboard molding, and there were paint spots on the floor EVERYWHERE (we?ve spent days cleaning with thinner). All over the apartment we have found missed corners that still have the color from the previous owner showing through, plus areas that were supposed to be semi gloss that were painted eggshell, and quick, rough touch-up jobs where we pointed out his errors. We are so disappointed. Charles did exactly the opposite of what he promised he would do. We strongly recommend trusting your paint job to someone else.
