Galaxy Lock & Alarm Co

I asked for the owner to make an assessment and emailed photos of the current locks to give them an idea. The owner did not make an assessment and sent the worker with medico locks, some of which did not fit. The worker took 4 hours to complete the job because he was on his cell phone and took long breaks. He brought with him a medico tubular lock, which costs 200 and attempted to install in the interior hallway door. The lock was too large for the door and he could not install it. He claimed that the owner should have came out to make the assessment and told me I had to pay for the lock anyway. It is now just sitting and collecting dust. Armed with a receipt, I went back to the actual store and they would not refund my money. I would recommend that if you are in need of a locksmith, look elsewhere. Please steer clear of them, they are rude.

I went in person made appointment and selected lock on Saturday. I showed a picture of the lock I was replacing and said I nee one just like it. I was told it was 27.00. I said fine. She then said or I can get the 65.00 one that's way better. I said no thanks I will take the 27.00. She then tells me with a "matter of fact " look that the service charge will be 125.00. I thought that was pretty steep for such a simple lock and travel not an issue I am in same zipcode. But I said fine because I need it done and right away. She takes my information and said they can't come until Monday. I said that's fine. She says between 9-11am I said I needed it later. She said 3-5pm. I said yes. She then said they will call me when they are on their way. Now today is Monday. I left work early and have been home since 2:30pm just incase they would actually show up at 3pm. At 4:30pm I called and asked if service guy is on his way. After an extremely long hold she comes back telling me that ALL service people are in Brookyn on emergency call and will not be back in time. I said what happened to my appointment? She answers the exact same way with annoyance in her tone as if I said please explain again. What I wanted her to say is I apologize and acknowledge that their customer service failed. I would not have known they weren't coming if I didn't call. I understand things happen ( if it's wasn't that she just forgot to make my appt). Bottom line the woman tat took my appt in person is same woman that answered phone the day of my no show appt. She's the only representation of the company I had and reason I would never TRY to hire them again or EVER recommend them. Perhaps her boss should have a chat with her about how she made them all look like they suck!

They did an outstanding job. They were prompt and even called before they came over. They were on time and extremely professional. Everything looked perfect and they installed top of the line Medeco high security locks. Regarding Matthew the technician who completed the installation, before beginning the job, he took the time to explain what he was going to do with each lock and how long it would take. Also he cleaned up so well, you would not know work was even done. Regarding the actual store location, there is a great variety of locks, decorative hardware and door knobs, etc. in a variety of prices. The staff is always courteous, professional and extremely well informed. You can't go wrong with Galaxy and I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you! It is very refreshing to find individuals who take pride in what they are doing and who back up their work.

I appreciate the owners and workers at this company. If I have a question or concern, they are really responsive to my needs. I am lucky to have found such a good company for this type of service. I have no plans of leaving anytime soon because I am a satisfied customer.

I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO EVERYONE I KNOW. THEY WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND CLEANED UP ALL THEIR MESS. THEY PUT AN ALARM IN AFTER I HAD A BREAK IN AND EVER SINCE THEN I HAVE HAD NO TROUBLES.
