Description of Work: Three movers showed up when I was moving in. They were clearly not experienced or professional movers. The quality of the move was bad. They were unable to lift or maneuver furniture effectively. I have used this company before and was very happy with them (including for an international move). This last move, however, means I will never use them again and never recommend them.

Description of Work: Moved from two locations in NYC to rural CT |They got lost and began unloading at the wrong address , resulting in an hour and a half delay. |Nice guys though ...very apologetic and respectful.

Description of Work: Moved from one apartment to another. Horrible job, damaged most if the furniture. Some chips, completely destroyed a bed and instead if admitting it they propped it up against a wall. Later when we sat on it it almost collapsed. Legs were crooked. Frame ripped off from headboard. |Totally unprofessional. After complaint they didn't even apologize or refund, told us to file a claim.

Description of Work: Moved from BK NY to NJ. Changed the date at short notice due to hurricane at no additional charge. Negotiated with difficult building management about moving building rules and managed to make them work in their favor. Reassembled all furniture at house. We're professional , courteous, and would recommend to my friends. Make sure you thank Zoran and his crew they are an asset to your team.

Description of Work: Moved us from one New York apartment to another. They were friendly,polite,on time,and performed their services in a fast and professional manner.

Description of Work: I was disappointed. You would think that with the name of the company they wouldn't change pricing on you. I signed a contract with one price and then they showed up with a contract with a completely different price. Nothing from my phone conversation was translated correctly. Then they tried to get me to pay an extra $75 for insurance for my building last minute when I was told that was included in my contract price. Plus they were late and had to wrap and pack my furniture on the street because they missed the time slot to use the elevators. I will not use them again.

Description of Work: Packed large items & held our belongings for two nights. Quick,very nice to work with. I highly recommend.

Description of Work: We had to move partial contents of the house from NJ to Fl. Flat Rate was very professional, showed up on time both times, deliver the track load even before scheduled (which was fine with us). Packing was done by "Super Mario" team, very careful and attentive. Unpacking went faster (different people) and not as careful, as the result wheels on plastic drawers went missing (I am guessing they ended up in the wrapping blanket), as well as the key from the cabinet (which was in the plastic bag taped to the bottom part of the cabinet). I will use FlatRate again, but will be more attentive to the unpacking process next time. My daughter used them for 4 moves. Pricewise they are not cheap, but we negotiated price down, and feel that we received abequate service. I got estimated from other companies for the 1/3 of the price, but was very leary to use those companies.

Description of Work: They picked up several pieces of furniture and boxes from my home in Westchester NY, did a fabulous job of packing/protecting the furniture. Then we went to a local storage place and emptied a storage locker. Then they took the load to NYC to warehouse it until they were ready to deliver it, with others customers' furniture in Florida. They also built a custom crate for the bubbler jukebox. |My only problem with them was scheduling. They were due at my house between 10 & 11 am. They showed up at 8, and were finished before 10. I don't do early morning well. |They picked a delivery date, and then contacted me to change to 2 weeks later. I had already given them the recipient's contact info, e-mail & cell. I reminded them to contact him directly, as I was not moving, but I got stuck playing monkey in the middle. Then 2 days before the revised delivery date, I got woken up by a call to confirm the delivery date. I told the man on the phone the use the recipient's phone number, and gave it to him. Two days later, I get woken up by the same man to tell me they were on their way. I told him again, to call the other number. |I heard from the recipient that he as very pleased with the professionalism and cleanliness of the delivery crew. They also showed up early. |So the important stuff they did very well. But the devil is in the details.

Description of Work: They did not complete the move on time. They were very slow to respond, and offered pathetic terms to make up for their unacceptable customer service.

Description of Work: They moved my business and did a great job. Good packing, very thoughtful. Open to direction, etc. As with all movers, you should be very involved--making sure access to property on both ends is scheduled, that they know where they are going, that they are clear on the route, always follow the truck to ensure no problems or extra stop overs. Ask if they need lunch, etc, make sure it is scheduled so there are no surprises. I like them because there are generally no surprises. They get it done. They are careful, respectful, professional. I've used them for several moves now but business and residential.

Description of Work: Flat rate isn't the cheapest but they made my move stress free. The phone consultant was very patient and thorough. I had quite a lot of stuff to move out of one 4th floor walk up into another 4th floor walk up. The 4 guy team did it in 3.5 hours on a crazy hot day without complaining. They were all very professional and took care of my belongings (antiques, paintings, etc.) and I ended up marrying the foreman. I'm not kidding. If I weren't married to a mover I would use them again.

Description of Work: We used Flat Rate to move from NY to Florida. While we did not have lots of furniture,we had lots of boxes. The team in NY packed everything and the delivery team was excellent. I highly recommend this company.
