Description of Work: They moved us... And must have dropped a few boxes off the truck because in those boxes a lot was broken, including irreplaceable family heirlooms.

Description of Work: They packed,moved and unpacked us in very efficient way. The movers were pleasant and cleaned up after . They were expensive compared to other estimates but you get what you pay for.

Description of Work: I hired them to move from my apartment in Manhattan to my new home in MI. The guys who moved my things out were fast and still took great care to protect my things from damage. | |The driving crew arrived in MI within the expected date window, and arrived at my location at just the time they told me to expect them. It took 9 days from the time it departed NYC to arrive, but that included Christmas and New Year's so it's definitely reasonable. | |My things all arrived undamaged. One box was slightly crushed, but it was a box full of towels and other soft things and that's to be expected.

Description of Work: Flat Rate provided packing and in-state moving service. Packing was haphazard with little labeling and little protection of articles. I'm having problems locating everyday items. They also declined to take certain furniture to the second floor. On the positive side they were polite and timely.

Description of Work: Flat Rate is my mover of choice. We have used them frequently in the past few years and will continue to call on them when required. Their in-office and moving teams are exceptionally responsive and helpful. They inspire confidence, and best of all you know up front how much everything will cost--no overages, no extra charges for delays in traffic--one price and you are done. A fabulous company to work with.

Description of Work: I was disappointed. You would think that with the name of the company they wouldn't change pricing on you. I signed a contract with one price and then they showed up with a contract with a completely different price. Nothing from my phone conversation was translated correctly. Then they tried to get me to pay an extra $75 for insurance for my building last minute when I was told that was included in my contract price. Plus they were late and had to wrap and pack my furniture on the street because they missed the time slot to use the elevators. I will not use them again.

Description of Work: Moved from Bergen County NJ to Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Move set up easily with up-front pricing. Rapid email or phone interaction. Movers arrived on time, were courteous and efficient, arrived in Brooklyn timely, moved every thing in without problems.

Description of Work: Moved from one apartment to another. Horrible job, damaged most if the furniture. Some chips, completely destroyed a bed and instead if admitting it they propped it up against a wall. Later when we sat on it it almost collapsed. Legs were crooked. Frame ripped off from headboard. |Totally unprofessional. After complaint they didn't even apologize or refund, told us to file a claim.
