They came exactly when they said they were going to come. They were responsive. The job was finally completed to my satisfaction, but it took discussion to get there. If they would just tell you what they are going to give you before they go through the job that would be great.

They never called back after i left a message on their website. It's been 4 days, i give up.

The job went very well. The plumber worked for about 5 hours, coordinating with the super who had to close the water in my line of apartments. He left the bathroom clean and neat. I would definitely use them again.

They did the job. Workman was polite and nice. Communication with the company was a little anxiety provoking since they asked me to email pictures and then gave me a non-working email address. Had to search for their second number to ask for a working address. The shocker was that price. The plumber attached a new hose to the back of the stove with a wrench and charged $283.00 for three or four minutes of labor anyone with a wrench could have done. I understand travel time had to be included, cost of the hose ($20 I would guess) but I was surprised, to say the least, at the cost.

These guys were courteous, punctual, and professional. I called late morning, and they were on site within two hours (and this was not even an emergency). The technician immediately knew what to do and said he had to go get the part. He did so, returned in a hour or so and had it installed and working within minutes. Everyone from the woman who answered the phone, to the dispatcher/manager, and the tech were all very pleasant and professional. I will definitely be calling Effective Plumbing the next time I need any plumbing work done!

Fantastic! I was a bit wary about repair companies based on previous experiences. This was my first time using a service from Angie's List. From the first friendly conversation on the phone through the job completion, I felt like these guys had my back and were my neighborhood buddies. Fernando in the office addressed all of my many questions and dealt directly with my Super, submitting insurance forms required by my co-op and discussing details related to day of service water shut-off in my building. Additionally, there was a potential issue with the faucet I purchased --Fernando suggested I send photos of the new faucet parts and manual, existing faucet set-up, and values under the sink, and said the team would look at them and come up with a solution. Alex, the plumber, was extremely pleasant and professional, arrived promptly, handled the job expertly, navigated some unanticipated challenges, worked closely with my Super, and cleaned up after completing the job. I am delighted with my sparkling new faucet and valves - and my new go-to plumbers. I highly recommend the team at Effective Plumbing.

Switch was freed up in a matter of minutes . two washer hoses were replaced. Entailed a trip to their wholesale provider.. No itemized bill was provided. The repairman Larry was very competent & pleasant. The overall experience was painless & pleasant & they arrived promptly. The issue is the charge of $420.00 for what was provided, I will ask for an itemized bill but the charges are high in my opinion.

He arrive on time. He diagnosed the problem, and said he would charge me a $150 to change the themal coupling, plus the cost of the part. He went to Home Depot to get the part. When he got back, he fixed the heater. He didn't charge me for the part. Great guy.

I'm writing this review for this company even though I was not able to use their services. I own an apartment in an upper west side complex in Manhattan. Unfortunately, after setting up an appointment with Effective Plumbing, I was informed that there are certain companies that are regularly called in for services such as plumbing. Using a new company would have caused some complications at this time, so I cancelled for now. But, I do plan to contact Effective in the future. Their customer service, even on the phone, is exceptional. I was very impressed from the very first conversation I had with Shaereen, the young lady who scheduled my appointment. Customer service is extremely important, and if the work from this company is a good as their treatment, they are definitely on my list. I've been very fortunate every time I've consulted Angie's List for anything.

Job took about 2-3 visits. Workers were professional, punctual and knowledgeable. Unfortunately we are unable to work with them again due to cost being way too high. Tried negotiating but that didn't help. We like to work with the same vendors over and over, it is unfortunate we are unable to do so with this company. I would recommend them as they do good work; just pricey. Also, turnaround time for price quotes was very slow. When they did get back to you they were very courteous but response time could use some help.

They were professional, responsive and did the job well and quickly. It's difficult to find a plumber to do a relatively small job such as this but they were absolutely wonderful. The plumber who came was excellent, knew what he was doing and so nice. I totally recommend them.

It went very well and they told me what my options were. They were polite, professional and explained eveything that they were doing. I would hire them again in a minute.

They did a good job. They arrived within their 4 hour window, although it would have been nice to have someone come sooner. They snaked the drain and it worked fine after that. Two months later the sewage line clogged again. It may not have been at all related to how well they cleared the sewage line the first time, but it was odd that it clogged again so soon.

The plumber arrived sharp on time. Diagnosed most of the problems right away, and went off to get the parts. He was back in about an hour, and installed the parts. Then, he did what most plumbers would not do. Patiently helped me to take apart a complicated/high end kitchen faucet, and waited while the manufacturer was called to troubleshoot the problem. He then gave us an alternate and less expensive solution, and reassembled the faucet. All this with a very pleasant attitude - totally professional. The pricing was very fair for the work done, and they gave us a bigger break than the 10% off on the Angie's list coupon. We were very happy to have found effective plumbing, and will certainly be using them again in the future.

It went very smooth....I called the number and requested service and in a short time the plumber was on site, very professional and courteous.

Friday - Max seemed like a nice guy. I was there for 2 hours and then left him to go to work. Upon return, I found the sink was tilted forward about 5 degrees or more, the caulking between sink and wall was a mess, and the bathroom was a mess (caulking and other debris in the tub, on the floor, on the wall). Saturday - The Effective Plumbing rep on the phone was very sorry, and said she'd send someone out to fix it; wasn't sure if same day or Monday. Monday - EP called in the morning to say a plumber would be there between 10am and 1pm. 2pm - Max returned with an apprentice. I stayed the whole time. After first "completion", I asked them to clean the caulking off the wall. After second "completion", I asked them to just leave. I spent 2 hours scraping caulking off wall, toilet, floor, tub. Now I have to fix the rough lunar-landscape of caulk between the sink and wall, and between the sink and leg. Worst quality work I've ever seen.

I HAVE HAD A GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY WERE VERY RESPONSIVE WHEN I CALLED THEM TO COME OUT. THEY DO GOOD QUALITY WORK. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS.
