DESMOND IRON WORKS

I truly did not have a problem, met him, told him what I wanted and he delivered, more than what I expected. Everyone that passes my yard love my gates. Unfortunately! Well, I would like him to come and do some more work for me but I can't find him. If anyone know his whereabouts please update.

Do not use this welding company ! On January 7th 2012 Desmond, owner of Desmond Ironworks, visited my home to provide an estimate to install two metal gates: a small gate for our front garden and a large gate with glass for the rear of the house. We agreed on the price - $400 for the smaller gate and $750 for the larger gate – and we paid you a deposit of $500. Over the months which followed Desmond failed to show up for appointments time and again, nor did he return telephone calls. On a few occasions, but only after we had reached out to him, we managed to get him onsite but this was always several hours later than the time we had arranged. To date, only the front gate has been taken care of (and this was after a huge amount of work on our part to get him out). The last time he was scheduled to come out, at 9am on March 17th, this time he actually telephoned to say you would be two hours late but not only was he, once again, a no show, he did not even have the courtesy to follow up with a call. Time and again we have rearranged our day because of him but ultimately he proved to be unreliable and apathetic. My husband and I agree that he is, by far, the most unprofessional contractor we have ever dealt with. As Desmond hardly ever answers his phone and ignores emails etc. I had no choice be to send him a certified letter. My name/address was not on the envelope but he refused delivery which leads me to believe that there is more to this than meets the eye. To date we have paid him $500 yet have received only a headache and $400 worth of work. What a shoddy way to treat people !!!
