CHAMPION HOME REMODELING

This is my third of fourth time using Danny and Champion (2 houses and everything from flooring to complete kitchen renovation). This went just as smooth as my other experiences. If you can afford them, Champion are the best around period. Hands down an utter professional.

They emailed me saying they don’t service my area and they let me know to contact Angie's List to obtain a refund. I appreciated that their timeliness with getting back with me so quickly.

Danny came out and after looking at the gutters, suggested that we did not need his services. I appreciated his honesty.

It is impossible to evaluate Champion's work. Danny came to first scheduled visit and was very impressive. We were leaning towards using him for a full gut kitchen renovation. However, he was very poor at returning emails and calls. To be more precise, on several occasions he would respond to an email with "I will call you after the weekend," but we never heard back. Despite repeated requests in person, phone, and email, we never received a reference list and could not arrange a visit to view work. We were also supposed to get a kitchen plan, but we already had a pretty detailed one drawn out, and Danny did not provide anything further. In fact, we got nothing for the money we spent. I held back on this review for a long time, to see if he showed any initiative to follow through, but he did not. We are very disappointed.

Danny and his team were great from start to finish. Kitchen was stripped down to original framing and then built back up to incorporate a dropped ceiling with recessed lights and ceiling fan and to accommodate all new appliances, new sink, counters, and flooring. They did a great job of keeping the rest of the apartment as clean as possible as well as they worked. They were always reliable, and showed up when they said they would be there. And, and as their focus is on completing the work one job at a time, they are no issues of starting and stopping depending on how many other jobs they may have. There was great attention to detail, and everything was always left as clean as can be. At finish of job, everything was cleaned up. Danny always called if they had questions and he oversaw the work being done and there were instances where he saw something off that we did not see and he would have the team fix it. Danny is honest, straight forward and has a great eye for design. We had him do some extra work for us in the apartment as well and were equally pleased. After working with other contractors in the past, some good, some not, can honesty say we are looking forward to working with Danny and his team again!

It started off well and Danny had good ideas and seemed very professional. I had a problem with finding a refrigerator that would fit the dimensions of my kitchen. I went to an appliance store and happened to mention it to Danny. He said that appliance store was honest and he'd been doing business with them for 20 years. He said he'd ask them about the brand of refrigerator and get back to me. That never happened. I then went to another appliance place and having the same problem, I called Danny for ideas & help. He said he'd make some phone calls & look into it for me. That was over a month ago and I NEVER heard back from him. His cabinet guy works out of a hole in the wall that is the size of a bathroom stall, with a workshop in the back. However, that cabinet guy wanted 2 times as much as someone else with a beautiful showroom for the same exact cabinets. I also had to call Danny several times to even have the cabinet guy call me with a price or to see the cabinets (he showed me only the ones I had mentioned in passing to Danny that I was interested in, and NO other cabinet). When I asked about the "written" estimate for my kitchen remodel, Danny said he doesn't do written estimates because it takes too much time. His oral estimate was also the highest of EVERY contractor who gave me an estimate, and there were a few. He did "work with me" for a lower price, but why not give the actual price in the first place? The fact that he NEVER got back to me regarding my issues or to follow up or sign a contract is a huge red flag! Very unprofessional! He also has no physical address, but only a P.O. Box.

The experience I had with them was problematic. Their proposal for the plan on our kitchen design was delayed. When they finally sent it to me through email after two weeks, it was almost unchanged from where the kitchen is now even though we had previously discussed some specific requests for the design. It just looks like a computer generated plan. I told him I was really disappointed and told him that I wanted my money back instead of putting negative comments on Angie’s List. It’s been five months and still he has not gotten back to me and the design still remains unchanged.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went okay. He was trying to sell me a remodeling job for the place but I have not used them yet for the work. I just got the drawings from them which was what they advertised. I got what he said he was going to give me. He was very professional. He was very prompt after I contacted him through Angie’s List. I did not spend any additional money. I might call him for the job but I have to price it out to other people.

From start to finish this was a professional and successful job. Danny came out promptly to give an cost estimate. The materials arrived exactly when he said they would. The job was scheduled quickly and Danny's associates arrived on time and installed the windows carefully and efficiently. They also took the time to explain the process, and cleaned up very well. The new windows are great! It's nice to know there is still a company out there that is professional, punctual, polite and fairly priced. I will gladly use this company in the near future for additional home repairs. Thanks Champion!

I was very pleased with their work because they were very conscientious with the timing of the work and yet very meticulous and professional in getting the work done right! They did an outstanding job -- even better than what I had envisioned! I really got my money's worth! And Danny is the ultimate professional! He is very knowledgeable and helps you to make the best decision in getting the desired outcome! I really appreciated his patience with me -- he did not rush me into making any decisions, allowing me to think it through until I was very comfortable with the final decision. I had no problems contacting Danny and he kept me informed of all phases of the projects and deadlines. This ongoing communication is very important to me when selecting contractors to work with. I am very pleased with all the work done and will be using their services again in Spring 2014 when I have my awnings replaced. If you are looking for a contractor who is trustworthy, reliable and whose workmanship is superb, then I highly recommend Champion Home Remodeling.

He came out and did an inspection for the design. He then contacted me and told me to do the remodel of my small kitchen would be $50,000. I requested the design plan, and since requested it twice more but have yet to receive it.

I couldn't be happier. Danny defines professional. He wasn't the cheapest option but he sounded so confident in his work I chose him, and I don't have a single regret. His workers are professional and they are craftsmen of the finest caliber. This job was a gift to my mom, and I've already booked Danny for more work on my own home next month. If you can swing the price, you won't have a single regret!

You offered a custom design consultation at an attractive price. That was exactly what we needed to help make a decision and proceed with cabinet choices and possible future remodel. Dan Vitulli of Champion Home remodeling called me within a couple of days as you promised, to schedule a visit. He asked for my wish list, and an idea of what I wanted and needed. He offered his professional suggestions and started to measure. A week later he arrived with plans in hand and concrete suggestions. There were aerial views, cabinet layouts and sizes, etc. I could not be more pleased and highly recommend him. He listens carefully then executes.

Mr.Vitlli called the day of the appointment as he said he would when leaving the previous appointment, This was greatly appreciated and showed excellent salesmanship and concern. I found him to be quite conversant and knowledgeable, making several suggestions on items that had not come to my mind. He understood that this work would take place after the holidays. I have no problem hiring his company to complete the kitchen remodeling.

Danny Vitelli stopped by on time. I explained my wishes and he advised me, that this kitchen cannot be remodeled (without gutting it). This is not possible due to financial constraint, but more important it would take weeks. I had already inquired about resurfacing the cabinet doors, and he agreed that this would be the answer. A pleasant experience.

I was very pleased with the service I received and would not hesitate to use Champion again. Danny came out to look at the work I needed done and was able to give me an estimate. The work I needed in the bathroom was relatively complicated. The prior owners had not left access to the Jacuzzi blower and I needed it replaced, so Danny and his team needed to remove my vanity, cut an access panel in the existing marble surround, rewire the bathroom to meet the Jacuzzi's requirements and then cover the area and reinstall the vanity. Everyone I worked with on Danny's team was incredibly professional. Danny and his workers, Alfredo and Jesus, arrived on time and completed the work on the timeline we initially agreed upon. When they had availability they even worked ahead of their originally scheduled time to be able to be finished on time. While they were here, everyone was incredibly polite and kept me updated about what they were working on and what access they needed to other parts of my house. Everyone spent the duration of the time they were at my house actually doing work. I was incredibly impressed with how clean they kept the job site. It's not just that they cleaned everything up once they had finished, it's that each night when they finished, the rooms they used were as clean as they could be considering the work being done. At all times I was kept in the loop. Because of the nature of the work in the bathroom, there were many possibilities of surprises - we didn't know what the electrical situation would be; we were unsure of how the new access panel would work, etc. Danny discussed this with me ahead of time, so that I would know that we had some unknowns we were dealing with. As the work progressed he informed me of what we discovered, offered his professional opinion about the best way to proceed and asked me for my input as well. I value working with someone who asks for input but also brings their expertise to the situation. Because the jacuzzi access needed to be in a marble surround which is mostly blocked by the vanity, we needed to remove several marble tiles, for which we had no replacement. Due to the placement of the panel, I did not want to find additional marble and try to match it. Danny hand painted a wooden panel for me in a faux marble finish. It looks fantastic. It does a great job of blending in and does not detract from the beauty of the bathroom. I was very impressed with how it turned out. The quality of the work was very high and Danny was very easy to work with. I would absolutely recommend them if anyone needs work done and would use them again without hesitation.

I found Champion Home Remodeling after having a nightmarish experience with another contractor, who left me with a mess. I was terrified of trusting anyone yet I knew I had to get my kitchen finished. Danny, of Champion Home Remodeling, sensed my anxiety my expectations a immediately. He was always straightforward about what needed to be done. Consulted me daily on the progress of the job, always had excellent suggestions on how to improve the project and never in anyway pressured me. He finished a job in three weeks that I had been waiting seven months for another contractor to finish and the end result looks truly amazing. His workers are pleasant, respectful and left my home spotless when they left for the day. In an industry that is full unscrupulous companies, Champion is a cut above the rest. Danny is wonderful to work with. My finished kitchen exceeded my expectations. Do not hesitate to hire this company. You will not be disappointed!

I was impressed with Danny. He was very helpful, professional,and promptly returned my calls during the process of getting an estimate. Danny seemed very knowledgable, and gave me confidence that his company would have done a great job. I think the estimate we received from Champion was reasonable, but we had to go with a lower estimate from another contractor because of a tight budget.

The workers arrived almost an hour later than the scheduled time. The workers themselves did a great job of taking down the old fan and assembling the new one and installing it in less than an hour. They cleaned up after themselves and boxed the old fan for removal. My complaint is with the owner(who I never saw but only spoke to over the phone) had quoted me a price of seventy-five to a hundred dollars. When the job was completed the men called him to get the price which he told them would be $100.00.He asked for the time at that point assuming they had been there since 8:30a.m (which made it appear that they had been there two hours instead of less than the one hour they were actually there. I got on the phone then and told him they arrived closer to 9:30. His response that since there were two men this justified the $100.00 fee.This was after I asked about the "senior discount". This fee did not include the tip,I gave the workers. I feel that since there already was a fan in place and no additional electrical work needed to be done,the job actually took less time,especially with two men,so I should have been charged the lower fee of $75.00. When you ask the question "Would I use this provider in the future?",this is a very ambiguous question because it's not a simple yes and no response. I certainly would use his workers again who did a good job,despite being tardy. As for the company itself, the answer is maybe. I would shop around more before deciding. [member name removed]

Danny is one of the finest human beings you will ever meet. He is trustworthy, responsive, and easy to deal with. Since this was my first kitchen remodel, I appreciated his patience in letting me pick his brain. He had excellent suggestions. When I was uncertain or thought I might want to change my mind about a design detail, he never tried to rush me. I felt he truly wanted me to be happy with the outcome. And I was! The work was outstanding. Danny treats his crew well, and they in turn treat the customer well. They are pleasant, accommodating, and very conscientious. These men are perfectionists. They care about getting it right, not just getting it done. I look forward to having them here again when I am ready to have the exterior of my home painted, and again when I remodel my bathroom.

The work was done as promised.

Hired them for two tiling jobs and the quality of the work was excellent. They even fixed a few minor problems that I didn't ask them to at no additional cost. Highly recommended.

Danny, the owner, was in frequent contact with me and did an excellent job supervising the project. He showed he cared a lot about our satisfaction and he was a pleasure to work with. His people were fully professional in their various skills and cleaned up their debris every night, and they were also friendly and pleasant to have around. It's a fine company and I would certainly recommend them and would definitely use them in the future for any sort of remodeling or substantial repair/rebuilding such as we had.

A bunch of great guys work for Champion. They always arrived on time and worked very hard. They moved furniture, made sure everything was covered up and always cleaned up before they left. From the time the job was started until if was finished there were never any problems. They were trustworthy, respectful and alwasy did their job
