Rennie is his name. I found him with Angie's List. We never finished our work together because I don’t have money. He is extremely personable. I went above and beyond the call of duty with samples. When I asked him for samples because I was looking for a certain color or fabric, he went through tons of samples and he actually lent them to me because we could bring them come and discuss it with our family I thought that was very nice. When he needed it back, he was going to drive by. We communicated via cellphone. He drove by and I handed him back the samples. He did everything so nicely. He has got an amazingly kind manner. When I told him that I wasn’t yet in the position to work with him, he said that it was fine. With regard to price, they are not cheap.

My sofa was about 15 years old. Parts of it were collapsed-in due to frequent use. The fabric on the seat was shredded. The sofa was a Mitchell Gold sofa so I knew the frame was a quality product and the solution was to have the interior reupholstered and the fabric replaced. A neighbor recommended Broadway Upholstery because they did good work for Mt. St. Vincent College and Horace Mann School. The proprietor, Renny Deen was very helpful. I made an appointment with him and he saw my sofa and gave me a price of $1500 for labor and the fabric I picked cost an additional $500 (total $2000). The work was performed within the time frame that Mr. Deen promised. I am very pleased with the function and appearance of the sofa. I have already recommended Broadway Upholstery to a neighbor who is currently having two chairs done by them.

My beautiful Victorian armchair sat in Renny's window being a perfect advertisement for his services and workmanship! I have worked with Renny Deen on approximately 12-15 different upholstery projects over the past three or four years; after not having re-upholstered anything for 20+ years, I was in dire need of assistance. Renny is responsive, responsible and reliable; his prices are reasonable and his work is excellent. The jobs have varied from a 19th-century trolley bench that needed total restoration as well as reupholstery, to a sofa/lounge that needed to be re-fashioned with a higher back, to more ordinary dining room chairs, swivel chairs, etcetera. All the jobs have been excellent - - I recommend Renny Deen and Broadway Upholstery without reservation. He continues to expand his range of materials, and will also work with customer-supplied fabric of course.

I gave Renny Deen, the owner, "excelent" in each category because it is truly the way he operates and relates to his customers. I feel very grateful to have found him, since I have several antiques that need attention. Deen is very reasonable compared to two other companies I worked with in the area. He is quick, yet efficient , and always easy going and a joy to work with. I have been extremely happy with his work and his sense of design. I highly recommend Broadway Uphostery.

Excellent customer service, responsive, a pleasure doing business with them. I've been looking for a good upholsterer who was reasonably prices in this area for years - glad I finally found him. Result is impressive.
