The crew, led by Joe, were fantastic and knew what they were doing. Did more trimming then I expected on the maple tree and really opened up the area over the roof of my house. Looks great! From estimate to clean up perfect work! Highly recommend them for any tree work you need done.

They wanted over $2,000, the highest of three estimates and nearly three times over my lowest estimate. I'm guessing a lot of these companies are taking advantage of the dying ash trees, particularly where the trees are near a house or other building.

I had a tree tip because of high winds and needed a company to take it down. Oakes responded within a day to my need. Because they charged me a reasonable price and were extremely professional in completing the removal, I decided to have them take down some other trees, but primarily prune and thin out dead branches, etc. They quoted me a price that was very fair and when they came to do the job they were prompt and had a full crew to do the job. Alex, the foreman, was extremely helpful in advising me of what was going on and suggested several helpful pointers. The whole crew worked tirelessly to complete the job. They thinned out the trees, and pruned out a great deal of dead material. The result is stunning. I am happy I opted to use them and would highly recommend Oakes Tree Service to others. Thanks Alex and the crew, as well as Michelle, in the office, for coordinating the services.

The trees look trimmed. This is our first experience with fruit trees being trimmed so I didn't know what to expect.

Unelievable service...cut the limbs, took out the limbs and mulched them, raked the yard, very friendly . They called ahead of time and I was so happy with their work!

Well. I was provided with a estimate within 3-4 days of requesting that I be contacted. They were back within 10 business days to complete the work. They had these two large trees down in an afternoon and the site cleaned up. Everyone was completely professional.

A whole crew showed up on time and they never stopped moving. They removed the maple tree, ground the stump, did some major pruning on an ornamental tree and pruned some shrubs. They were very efficient and pleasant and they left the yard, sidewalk and street spotless. Who could ask for more.

They did a great job and they cleaned up the yard well after. The stump grinding was good and after I removed the piles of wood chips and dirt I was able to plant grass. My only issue was one root that was still a bit high that I had to chop out with a pick axe.

We had wonderful experience with this company! A whole crew arrived and finished a job that they estimated to take over four hours to complete in about an hour and a half. They even raked the whole yard, and swept the driveway. They were very professional and friendly. We couldn't have been more pleased with their service! They are definitely our "tree guys" now!

The crew arrived on time- 7 workers - All worked together to get this done in a little less than 4 hrs. Professional and courteous. Protected breezeway windows and door. Did a great job cleaning up debris. Three very large pieces of the trunk of the maple were not able to be cut by our friend for firewood. Mike made time for us and came back did this . Very pleased with their work and definitely will have them for future tree removal.

I have used them twice. I highly recommend them. When he was here, he gave us advice on a large Scots pine. He was able to explain to me that it had a blight and that it has probably got 3 more years life left in it, what the cost would be, and recommendations because of where it stands.

The crew: - Showed up on time, with the right equipment and manpower to do the job efficiently. - Protected the house and adjacent areas as they cut down the trees and ground the stumps. - Very experienced, worked well together, friendly and willing to please. - Certainly safety couscous as they worked on high/more difficult cuts. - Outstanding cleanup ... every branch, limb, leaf, etc was swept up and taken away. They blew debris off the roof and out of the gutters. The entire area was raked smooth ready for reseeding. Bottom line ... a professional outfit that did a GREAT(!) job.

The whole process was quick and professional and very reasonably priced. Marshall Oakes responded quickly to my phone message (within an hour), gave me an estimate over the phone, and had a long enough gap in his schedule that he could do the work that afternoon. (My house in Spencerport is not far from his business.) He arrived promptly, ground the stumps, confined the wood chips to a very small area, and then raked the area smooth. He was considerate and professional throughout. He charged me exactly his estimate. His price, by the way, was less than half another estimate I received. I was very happy with his service and will definitely use Oakes again and recommend them to my neighbors. They are located on the west side, by the way, and although they do most of their work on the east side, they're a family-owned business that is convenient for west siders.
