they did an excellent job removing the trees and stumps. cleaned up after themselves. no complaints.

Initial visit to scope out work was done by knowledgable representative of JM tree service. Estimate was provided next day. I had four estimates done by various tree service companies and felt confident that JM was very competent, had all the proper equipment and their price was fair (not the cheapest). Once contract was established, owner came to site and we did a final review; no changes in scope or cost were noted. The owner, his crew and equipment showed up on time and completed all work that day. The clean up was good. During the work, Josh, (Owner) kept me informed of how they were going to approach the various takedowns and made sure I was in agreement with everything they were doing. I found him and his crew the be very respectful and hard working. Overall I was completely satisfied with their work.

If they'd used the other gate, it wouldn't have torn up the lawn so much. If I'd had the chance to talk to them, I would have had them do it differently. They wouldn't show up when we were here - it was about 6 or 7 weeks after we called them that they came out. You can't talk to them and show them what you want, since they're on their own schedule. I'd consider using them again but with some reservations.

work was completed timely and professionally, vendor is customer service oriented. I did not like the process of describing the work to be done over the telephone- my understanding is the telephone description is used by a person for a future on site visit to estimate the cost of the work. I was uncomfortable with this, because I feel it leaves significant room for error and misunderstanding, especially for an inexperienced person like myself. An example of this - I requested the grinding of 3 stumps left from the removal of bushes, The telephone cost estimate was $450 since they do not conduct a visit for stump removal. Upon completion of the removal process the cost was $300. This worked out well for me- but it could have gone the other way as well. Regardless, I would use and recommend this service in the future. I believe J M Tree Service is a fine company, customer focused and perform quality work at a fair price

They came promptly and did all the work we had agreed upon. They did it quickly and took away all the debris.

J.M. Tree Service was responsive and professional. Within a day of purchasing the Angie Big Deal I heard from J.M. Tree Service. Shortly thereafter they inspected our property and made recommendations. We were only able to afford to do some of the work that our yard requires; J.M. Tree Service helped us prioritize the work to be done first - from a safety standpoint. Our contract was signed Nov. 5th and we were told that they would schedule the work for early December. The work was done Dec. 9, 2014. The crew arrived with a ton of equipment, reviewed with me the work to be done, and got right to work. Clean-up was tremendous. Other than the fact that the trees look great, you would never have known that the trees had been worked on. There were no stray limbs or wood chips, etc. We are very pleased with the results! J.M. Tree Service was easy to contact by phone and/or e-mail and were very responsive to the few questions that we had before the work was done. I would not hesitate to use J.M. Tree Service in the future.

We had another estimate from another company but when I called to get any confirmation, they seemed too busy to give me the time of the day ( no, this company was not on any Angie's list), so I had contacted Joshua from J.M. Tree Service. They gave me a time when it was convenient for me to have someone come to my house and explain what I needed done for my tree. After approval I made an appointment and then waited for the service. When the people came they well very pleasant but business like. I explained my needs ( for branches for my camp fire) and then they explained what they will be doing. What was really amazing , they had everything cut, cleaned up under tow hours! Very pleased with the service and would use them again and also would recommend them and their service to my family and friends.

They were very responsive and answered all the questions I had. Very good work. I would highly recommend this local, family business.

Went well had very tall pine tree that started leanining into our houses .was quite worried about it .JM tree came and removed it in timely fashion worked quickly and left area very clean . reasonably priced would use them again and recommend them.they neighbors also had work done a month or so ago they were also pleased

They are incredibly neat and respectful of the property. We have had trees down before and the company that did the first job left our yard a complete mess. Not J/M. You couldn't even tell they were here. They even raked up the leaves and took them with them. We had a miscommunication between the contract and what we discussed and Josh honored our discussion even though it wasn't in the contract. It really made an impact with us. Great people, great job!

The work was great, there was a misunderstanding regarding what tree needed cut, but JM took care of the issue with no hesitation. My neighbor who works at home came over and told me what a good job they had done and said that he would use them in the future.

A lot of equipment and personnel for what I thought was not that big of a job. However they were done quickly and took good care of the lawn despite large heavy equipment on driveway and lawn. Some confusion in communication with office staff, but owner was responsive and answered all questions.

J.M. Tree Service was professional in all of its interactions with us. We had a few issues that needed addressed and are completely satisfied with how it was all done. Initially, we got an estimate for a large hickory tree to be removed from the creek where it had fallen. It was partially covered in poison ivy and had created a barrier across the creek, redirecting its flow, causing sediment and debris to accumulate and increasing flooding in our yard during serious rains. While here, they also inspected the canopy for a copse of trees and the condition of others that stand alone on the property. They recommended some limb removals for one to prevent problems down the road and evaluated what to do with another that we wanted cut back from the house. Although we also had bush work we wanted done, they advised us to get a landscaper for that piece, who would charge much less than they would since they are not specialists in that area. They also referred us to someone else for treating several ash trees on the property in an effort to ensure the emerald ash borer (beetle) that has been sited in Monroe County doesn't decimate our trees. The quote was less than most others that we got and was the most professional experience we'd had with any of the people I'd contacted. Upon acceptance, we got on their schedule and were notified with a final day as the window narrowed. The day of the work, those guys got drenched! Excited about getting our needs taken care of, I took pictures and even video of some of the goings-on. It was quite the process with a lot of big equpment. They folks didn't seem to mind, instead paying attention to what they were doing. Despite the downpour, they got the work done as soon as it was safe. The yard was a bit muddy from dragging the tree out of the creek, but they managed to leave the yard undamaged. After a couple of rains, the mud washed away. However, the owner was not content to chance how we felt about it and called personally to let us know his crew informed him that the yard was muddy, even though they were pretty sure it wasn't damaged. He came out at some point to see for himself that it was just mud, but had assured me that if it wasn't, they would take care of any repair needed. I can't tell you how pleased I am that the workers took it upon themselves to let the boss know that there could be an issue, despite me not having said anything at all to indicate that. I was even more pleased that the owner took them seriously, didn't wait to see what the client (me) would do, and looked into it. As it turned out, everything was fine. They didn't need to do anything else. The trees they cut back look great, my house isn't in danger of tree encroachment, my yard is still well-shaded, but without low-hanging limbs, and my portion of the creek is unobstructed, making it that much more appealing. I still need to get the bushes addressed (landscaping hasn't been fun to pursue), but the ash trees were all promptly treated by the company they recommended for it. J. M. Tree Service accepted credit cards, which made this much easier for me to get done, too! As long as they're in business, I will not use anyone else if we have additional tree care needs in their service area in the future.

The job went really well. I wasn't there to see the crew do the work, but my neighbor commented that they finished the job in under two hours and were extremely efficient and friendly. I received quotes from about six different companies, and some of the prices were upwards of $2,600. J M gave me the best estimate, honoring the Angie's List coupon, and they were also one of the best reviewed companies I could find on Angie's List. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to have tree work done, and if I ever have trees trimmed or removed in the future, I will definitely call them.

Josh came and estimated the job to be done. We requested a specific time frame for the work to be completed, as our 2 1/2 year old grandson was going to be here and we knew he would enjoy watching this very much. Josh said that our time frame would fit well into their work schedule (weather permitting). The price was reasonable for all that was going to be done. Josh explained that he would need the use of our neighbors' driveway, as well as ours, for some of the equipment that would be used. The tree to be removed was located down a rather steep embankment in our lower back yard. Easy access to the tree was blocked by the location of our garage. The crew was prompt and professional. All of them seemed quite knowledgable and worked well as a team. Josh was on site as well and gave our grandson an up close and personal experience with the backhoe, which he jabbered about the whole time the equipment was here. The team worked hard all day to get the tree removed. They came back another afternoon to remove the stump and clear the last of the debris. They left our property in very good condition. No damage was done to either property - ours or our neighbors'. We are very pleased with the service and the entire job. We will certainly be calling J.M. Tree Service in the future. I was very happy with the service from JM Tree Service. Joshua was prompt in giving me a quote and the work was performed within the time frame given. The crew was efficient and cleaned up very well. Owner was part of team that did the work. All needed large equipment was present, so the entire job was done smoothly and efficiently. Team worked together perfectly. Everyone was pleasant and responsive to questions. We have a small lot and a neighbor across the narrow street. There was no damage to any plant or shrub; and none of the limbs or logs even touched the neighbor's property while the work was being done. Cleanup was swift and perfectly done. When we are ready to have other trees pruned, J.M. Tree Service will definitely do the work for us.How wonderful it was for us to deal with such a top notch business.

The team was extremely professional and polite and took every courtesy to inform my neighbors who were going to be impacted by their work. The removal of debris was efficient and they delivered their service in under an hour.

It was amazing to watch how professional the crew worked together. They completed the job quickly and you would never know they were there. There was a ton of debris and when they left you would never have known they were here. I now have some light in my house.
