+ -1 moreOnce Mac arrived he realized that this wouldn't be as easy as he thought but that didn't slow him down or even phase him in the slightest and he got to work right away. He worked diligently, carefully and in our opinion went above and beyond anyone we have ever used before to make sure our hardwired appliance was installed and functioning correctly. He ventured into the basement crawlspace fearlessly to re-run the wires and made quick work out of a monster of a job. He was upbeat and professional even when multiple problems caused the work to go longer than expected. We trust him and his work and will use them again for any electrical needs we have.
Description of Work: They had to come in and clean up after a failed HomeDepot install.

+ -1 moreThey were easy to schedule, called ahead of time to talk through the work that was needed, and the technicians showed up right when expected. They worked quickly and cleanly and even helped move the dryer back into its spot after the electrical service was complete. The only thing that I was apprehensive about is that the owner calls ahead of time and takes your credit card information before the work is completed. A receipt comes in the mail a few days later. However, they were upfront about the cost though and the billing was the exact amount we expected so I think it was just us needing to get used to a different way of bookkeeping. It will not bother me in the future and we would not hesitate to use them again.
Description of Work: Upgraded our dryer electrical outlet to match our dryer.

+ -1 more1) They responded to our call for help very quickly. 2) They showed up at the exact time they were scheduled. 3) They found and isolated the immediate problems and had them fixed in under an hour. 4) They charged a reasonable amount, $65 for a one hour service call. 5) at my request, they fully reviewed the upgrades needed for an old house full of wiring from over 50 years ago. I would recommend this company to anybody and everybody!
Description of Work: My mother owns an almost 200 year old house and so it is easy to imagine the old electrical wxiring that it contains. Early in January some of the lights in the house began to dim and then the voltage to the oil furnace dropped out leaving my mother with no heat in sub zero weather. Mac Electrical Company responded quickly to my call for help as they came to my mother's house at exactly the time they were scheduled to come, they found the problems almost immediately with an overtaxed electrical system, they quickly made immediate improvements to get my mother's house back to normal and they charged a reasonable fee. At my request, Mac Ekectrical Company reviewed with us our need to improve our incoming 60 amp service to the more common 200 amp service, to replace the several fuse boxes with a contemporary electrical system box with circuit breakers and to review all wiring in the house which includes many, many outlets that are not three prong grounded outlets.

I called Mac with the details of the work I wanted done and gave him the contact information of my tenant. He worked with my tenant to schedule a date to replace the electrical components and kept me up-to-date on the details and progression of the work. I am very pleased with his flexibility to work with me while in another state and my tenant to get the job done. I would definitely recommend him to others.
Description of Work: He replaced the main fuse box in my house with a breaker box, upped the amp service, and repaired the outside electrical connection to the house.

+ -1 moreMy main breaker went bad on a weekend. Called other companies and none of them provided emergency service to residential customers. This happened while there was still snow on the ground and we were without heat. I called their after hours emergency number and they sent someone out right away. My panel is older and we could not buy a new breaker that would fit even if the suppliers were open on the weekends. Luckily, they had a breaker in their shop that would fit, and we were back up and running in no time.
Description of Work: Replaced my main breaker.

+ -1 moreWonderful experience! These guys were fantastic, punctual, professional and very friendly! The price was also great for what we got. I would definitely recommend Mac Electric to anyone looking for electrical work to be done at their home.
Description of Work: When I purchased my home the electrical was old and outdated, there were multiple fuse boxes in the basement and we only had a 60 Amp service. I hired these guys to come in and put in a breaker box and remove the old fuse boxes. They also upgraded my service to 200 Amps.
