Henry Allen Garage Doors

I used them before so it was a no brainer to use them again. That was a MISTAKE Henry Allen garage doors did not follow the installation instructions from Haas door and installed the locks on my 2 new garage doors upside down.

Henry Allen replaced the springs on our garage doors. We got an appointment quickly (appreciated because our main door was inoperable) and they performed the work professionally at a very competitive price.

Based on reviews, I called Henry Allen to ask about service but did not leave a message when I reached voice mail. Within five minutes, I received a call back based on caller ID. The quick call back sold me. Chad, the technician arrived 20 minutes earlier than expected (props for that) and completed the work in less than an hour....very efficient.

Very well. Our garage doors are much quieter now. My wife and I are very pleased. Easy from estimate through installation. I would definitely use them again.

The cable that attaches the extension spring to my garage door broke and the door became too heavy for my automatic door opener to work. I found the Henry Allen Garage Door Service on Angie's list with good reviews and a strong connection to the local community. Called them up in the late morning, got a preliminary idea of costs ( $95 service charge, $30 for a cable), and was promised a 1:30-3:30 time frame that afternoon for a service technician to show up. At 1:40, the tech arrives and sees that the brackets where the cables attach to each side of the door are very old and rusting away. The cable had broken away from one of the brackets. He told me the cost for replacing the brackets and suggested a new nylon roller for each bracket before starting. He spent about 50 minutes doing all the work and made sure that everything on the garage door was secure, e.g., bolts on the garage door and on the tracking rails. He also lubricated all the moving parts and got rid of all the noisy rattling garage door sounds we've been enduring for years. We have a double-door garage and he lubricated both sides. He did a superb professional job, and I can definitely recommend this company's services. I'm a do-it-yourselfer and was tempted to do the job myself to save some money, but the expertise and speed with which Henry Allen completed the work was well worth their charges and my aggravation - getting the old brackets off the door would have taken me hours!

The tech arrived early, but called to make sure that it was ok. He was done in a half hour and the garage works great. He was honest and did a good job repairing the garage door.

Technician arrived on time and did excellent job replacing two ancient garage door openers in house we recently purchased. He also inspected and tuned up door assembly, and did not push any unnecessary upgrades or work. I will certainly call them when I am ready to replace the garage doors.

They were timely and very helpfull. He explained all that was needed and showed me catalogs with what was available. The new door and parts arrived about a week later and they were installed with no problems. They took the old door, opener and parts away. The whole process was easy and well done.

For about 1 year we tried to keep our old and orignal 50 year old door working. We repaired the automatic opener several times, we had Henry Allen out to tighten the springs and all the moving parts. Finally the door and the opened just broke and more repairs were useless. Nothing else to do but look for a replacement. We shopped around of course but came back to Henry Allen for two reasons - they have the best service and they had the best price! We worked with the owner (Morgan) to get the right custom door for our odd sized opening. He is a pleasure to work with.....no pressure....never rude.....he made all the right recommendations and even came to the house to measure several times to make sure the door was perfect. We finally ordered the door and three weeks later Morgan and his team installed it. It looks and works beautifully. One issue with the door after delivery but before it was installed was a broken glass pane......we called Morgan and without hestitation he ordered and installed a new pane at no cost. We get compliments all the time from neighbors AND my brother-in-law and sister loved the work on our door so much they called Henry Allen (Morgan) and replaced all 3 of their garage doors. I Definately recommend Henry Allen to all my friends now! They are good people!

Henry Allen made it easy. They have always been responsive in the past with problems with my old garage door, so ordering through them made sense. Morgan handles all the details. No complaints at all. Installation took no more than a couple of hours, and was flawlessly done. The improvement in look and function is amazing. (Not sure of the exact date of service, but it was around March 2014).

John arrived on time. He was very friendly and professional. He fixed the broken door and tuned up the wheels, springs etc. of both garage doors.

They're outstanding. They have very good service. Their prices are reasonable and I'm very happy with them essentially. I chose them because of recommendation from Angie's List, I double checked services that I have used in the past in the area, have good ratings and I have good confidence working with them. My wife was very impressed with the professionalism and mannerism of the worker. He discovered that previous installer (from another company "Overhead Doors of Meadowlands") installed the safety harness incorrectly. We would use this company again.

Henry Allen replaced two 18 year old garage door openers with two Liftmaster openers with battery backup and internet gateway. Their price was spot on, and the installation of the doors went well -- much faster than I expected. I had two concerns: 1) they had no idea how to connect the internet gateway (even though they sell it). 2) The next day I found that the button/screen for each unit was displaying an intermittent error. It took them three days to come back. When they did come back the tech said that he didn't have much experience with these units. He called Liftmaster and found out that they were installed incorrectly. The solution he offered would have left holes in my walls, so I declined. Overall they were pleasant to deal with.

I would strongly recommend Henry Allen for all your garage door needs. I had a tension spring break on my overhead door. They came by that day, quoted me a fair price for the work and completed it later that day after returning with the proper springs. They even fixed a loose connection in the garage door switch without me asking them to at no extra charge. A few days later the garage door was stuck. I called them and they came right over made a few adjustments and got it working again at no extra cost. I have had no problems with the door ever since. This is what I expect from a professional. I don't want the cheapest price, I want a fair price for the work I need done. No padding the bill, no trying to sell me stuff I don't need. I got the springs I needed and I got a professional who knew the proper way to install them and stood by his work. In a few years I may want to replace the door and I will know exactly who to call. I wouldn't hesitate to call them with any and all garage door needs, big or small.

My garage door started to open up as soon as the door closed and i noticed that the limit clip had fallen off. The serviceman showed up, did a thorough exam of the whole door and opener and made the repair quickly. Along the way he replaced some missing or old nuts and bolts. He suggested that we replace our opener because it was very old and not quite a safe as newer models but I never felt like I was being up-sold or trapped. The door is back to working condition and, when we do decide to replace the door opener, we will definitely call Henry Allen again.

Had to replace broken torsion springs on wooden garage doors. Didn't want to chance doing it myself as torsion springs can be dangerous to install. Doors actually work better now then when they were first installed. The movement is silent. Happy with the service.

I called Henry Allen to get an estimate on two single car garage doors for my townhome. Morgan Carey, the proprietor, knew my complex and knew exactly what doors I needed to order. The quote given was comparable to other companies in the area and I decided to go with him. The best part about my experience was the willingness of Morgan to work around my schedule. I didn't have time to meet with them during the day or on weekends, so they left samples and brochures at my condo for me to review in the evening. Morgan was very responsive via email, which proved to be enormously convenient. They also did the installation of the doors while I was away at work. At the end of the day, I got the doors that I needed from a very knowledgeable and trustworthy group of professionals, all with virtually no time taken out of my schedule.

Showed up on time. Technician reviewed the equipment then called me over to look at what he found. Cable was fraying and pulleys were on their last leg. These were quickly replaced and the job was done. The work was done well though it seemed pricey as the pulleys seemed expensive but then again I have no idea what they should cost and who's going to go shopping for a better price. Overall I think it was within reason.

They were prompt, on time and very professional, I called with my request for a new garage door opener. They set up an appointment and two days later the intaller was there and on time. They called before he arrived. After removing the old syustem and installing the new one, the installer explained everything and answered all my questions. I would use them again for anything to do with a garage door.
