About us
Westchester Wildlife performs a detailed inspection to determine the type of animal problems and the best approach for removal. Further recommendations for excluding the animal from entering the building are also provided. For example, dryer and exhaust vents provide perfect spots for birds to nest. Squirrels and bats will exploit gable vents which are not screened or which are poorly screened. Mice, rats and snakes will exploit gaps along a foundation or the corner channels of a brick, vinyl or wood sided home. Exclusion is the process of installing the necessary barrier to a structure or area keeping animals out. Wildlife Exclusion - or Animal Proofing - is about preventing animals from getting into your home in the first place, or making sure they cannot return once we have removed them. Repairing and excluding entry points is a key component in ou Integrated Pest Control Management. With every exclusion building inspection, you will receive a written estimate for all damage repairs and exclusion work necessary. All entry points into your building are located and properly sealed, providing effective measures for rodents, bats, raccoons, snakes, birds and other unwelcome animals. No matter what kind of urban wildlife has moved into your attic, roof soffits, church steeple, crawl space, basement, barn, or shed, we can remove the animals and keep them out of your home or building. If you smell a strong odor and believe you have a dead animal in your home or business, Westchester Wildlife will locate and remove the animal, then disinfect the contaminated area. If an animal is found dead outside, it should be examined for signs of sickness and properly removed and disposed of. If left unremoved, the decay process will begin, complete with an infestation of maggots, and the stench will be unpleasant (not to mention the attraction of vermin and disease). If an animal is within a structure, the problem is worse, because the stench will gather within the home. Westchester Wildlife will locate and remove the animal and take the steps to disinfect the affected area to eliminate the odor. It is also important to inspect your home or business to find out how that animal gained entry and take the proper steps to prevent future problems. Animal Clearance Certificate - If a property inspector has recently found evidence of nuisance wildlife activity in a home that you are selling or buying, Westchester Wildlife can help. We'll perform a comprehensive inspection, remove the animals, close the entry points, repair damages, complete exclusion work, and provide you with an animal clearance certificate upon completion.

Once the nest was removed, I suggested another idea of placing pieces of the galvanized screening inside the vent slots to reduce the space for the birds and create an unwelcome environment for them. he told me he is going to do what he does and that I was "Messing with his head and interfering with his job." I think he needs to understand that it is MY home. To be clear, none of this was about the charge for the job. Clearly if I wanted to remove a bird's nest in my attic I would have not called an exterminator in the first place.
However all's well that ends well. He ended up taking my idea of placing screening inside the vent's slots and now there is no room for the bird's to enter and it cannot be seen from the outside. It would be great if Westchester Wildlife came with more creative solutions and considered appearance without having to be pressed to do so. That is why I cannot give them an A.
