I explained to him that I was well outside his service area and just wanted to get his expert opinion. He was patient and generous with his time and thoughts. If I lived in the area, I’d certainly hire him.

Fortunately, he found no invader. But he sealed up our chimney at the top, around its cap, where some bricks had crumbled, which had left a small opening. What we had heard, apparently, were the sounds of something trying to get in. Jim was knowledgeable, thorough, pleasant, and someone we will call again should we have a future issue. He gets our highest recommendation.

These guys and Milton in particular are fantastic. We were last call at the end of the day which turned out to be a real challenge. Milton wouldn’t quit until he got it done. We are so grateful to him.

We have been a customer of Westchester Wildlife for many years. We have a very large property and they have always responded right away to any of our wildlife emergencies. Their suggestion for animal proofing our attic and other areas around the house has proved to be an immense help with keeping out critters, birds & snakes. They also installed bat houses around our property which has helped with the insects. Very knowledgeable, professional and trustworthy. I highly recommend them!

Outstanding! Technician arrived punctually the morning after call, explained nature of yellow jacket nest building, scanned home with thermal imaging device, and treated infestation with insecticide dust.

Highly recommended!!! My daughter in California found Westchester Wildlife and spoke to Jim, who came out in less than 24 hours, found an access route, and removed the poor thing. Jim was kind and courteous and took care of everything. The price was extremely reasonable (and much less than what another company wanted to charge that wouldn't even promise a time to come). It may be that I have a mice problem and if I do then I will definitely call Jim again.

The technician showed up on time. We discussed removal options and whether it was better to remove the next from outside or inside. The issues started when we discussed how to prevent the birds from returning. The technician's solution was to place a piece of gray galvanized screening outside the vent. The front of my house is white and at no time did he seem concerned about how his work might look afterwards. He suggested that all they do is remove the animal and prevent it returning. They are not carpenters and do not concern themselves with appearance. I suggested alternate preventive solutions (including bird gel inside the vent, tightening the screen behind the vent, etc) and was told several times. "This is just what we do." Once the nest was removed, I suggested another idea of placing pieces of the galvanized screening inside the vent slots to reduce the space for the birds and create an unwelcome environment for them. he told me he is going to do what he does and that I was "Messing with his head and interfering with his job." I think he needs to understand that it is MY home. To be clear, none of this was about the charge for the job. Clearly if I wanted to remove a bird's nest in my attic I would have not called an exterminator in the first place. However all's well that ends well. He ended up taking my idea of placing screening inside the vent's slots and now there is no room for the bird's to enter and it cannot be seen from the outside. It would be great if Westchester Wildlife came with more creative solutions and considered appearance without having to be pressed to do so. That is why I cannot give them an A.

The company came to do the service. They could not find a nest. They advised I get a refund since there is no service to render.

We found an animal had gotten into our attic when we found insulation and debris on our porch. Called a general exterminator, and they had Westchester Wildlife get in touch with us. Westchester Wildlife (Andrea and Milton) came out the same day, inspected the attic and roof for any signs of animal entry, and they found a squirrel likely had entered through some dry-rooted wood near the eaves of our roof. They had to remove part of our gutter to set a trap at the point of entry. They came back daily on weekdays (over span of ~6 days) to check the trap (they caught one squirrel on the second day). Afterwards, they sealed the hole with wire mesh and foam, covered it with aluminum, and replaced the gutter. Overall, they did a great job, and we can't even tell a patch was made. Andrea and Milton were professional and very responsive. They left us notes on the progress, and the office staff was very responsive and easy to get in touch with as well.
