+ -1 moreAl was very professional, friendly, and did a great job. Other little things I noticed were that he took care of the boxes the fixtures came in, he turned off the water faucet for the hose (he needed the hose to mix the concrete) and emptied the hose to prevent freezing, we didn't have the correct bulbs for the driveway light but he had some in his truck and he gave them to us at no additional charge, and when he needed to come into the house to check out wires in the basement he was concerned about dirtying up our floors. We were very pleased and will consider using him for our future electrical projects.
Description of Work: We needed 3 exterior lights replaced/installed (we already bought the fixtures). Two of the fixtures were mounted to the house, and the third was a new lamppost & light at the end of the driveway that required Al to dig out the old post, and pour cement to anchor the new post. The entire job took about 3-31/2 hours.

+ -1 moreAl came 5 minutes earlier than he said he would and did everything we asked him to do in a quick and efficient manner. Our list was long and there were no complaints. Would definitely call him when I need an electrician. Highly recommended.
Description of Work: Put in a new kitchen light. Put in a new exhaust in the bathroom. Fixed the doorbell. Put in a 3 way switch in basement. Fixed hall light receptical.

+ -1 moreI called Al on a Sunday night thinking I'd leave a voicemail; he instead picked up. We talked for approximately 15 mins. I explained that our electricity kept going out. He had been to our house before to install exterior lights and remembered our electrical box and its location. He had me go out and read some information to him. He stated that we most likely needed a new (and upgraded) box; we had a 150 and he recommended a 200. He came out the very next morning to verify his recommendation and then installed the new box the day after. I was so grateful that he came so quickly because it was really a hassle having the power go out several times a day. As I stated before he has done work at our house prior to the electrical box and my husband and I both really liked and, more importantly, trusted him. He's a happy, friendly, professional, and honest man who is a pleasure to have in our house.
Description of Work: Removal of two old electrical boxes and installation of new 200 (amp?) box.

+ -1 moreEverytime we have had Al come and do electricial work it has been to our satisfaction, and his prices are reasonable. I have never felt he is taking advantage or overcharging.
Description of Work: Actually, Al has done all of our electrical work since we bought the house , from upgrading the fuse boxes to circuit breakers to installling a ceiling fan with light, upgrading all the kitchen sockets to conform to code. Recently, redid electrical in the kitchen to prepare for a dishwasher (We currently do not have one) Redoing the wall oven's electric to handle a double oven and a seperate line for the new cooktop . We are getting ready to upgrade our kitchen. He has put in special lighting over our fireplace and replaced an outside socket (waterproof) He has put in track lighting on our sun porch and put a socket in the garage for an electric garage door. I'm sure I am forgetting some of the work he has done for us. I have not put in the amount spent as the prices varied for each job. We feel Al's charges are reasonable and he definitely goes the extra mile. He is always pleasant and on arrives on the time agreed upon.

+ -1 moreI've used Al before, about 4 years ago. We developed a GFI circuit fault, which can be maddening to find and fix. Al came on a Saturday, worked two hours, but in a thorough manner fixed the problem. Recommended.
Description of Work: I had a GFI fault with a breaker circuit in my townhouse. Al came on a Saturday, worked carefully and thoroughly and fixed the problem for a decent price.
