"The project manager Dana was a joke, all she was worried about was getting the 57K once she had that she could care less what went on. I would not agree to pay all upfront- 50% and 50% on completion or they will do a poor job. They broke our fence and have not repaired it- it was a new fence and they hit it in 2 places in one area they bent the pole- nothing was even said about the damage until I brought it up- we were double charged for the concrete and when I asked for documentation they could not seem to produce it or even answer my concerns. We held back $500 because of the damage and threated not to complete the pool closing or give us the cover- which is valued at a lot more. Again 57K is in their pocket already-$500 does not really seem like much at all. They left a mess in the back yard and in our garage, the pool is not level it rides up on one side. I would NEVER recommend them to ANYONE. FInd another pool company these guy are really bad."

Pool constructions and installations FAQs

The average cost of an above-ground pool is between $1,100 and $5,700. Costs will vary depending on the type of pool you install. The low end of the price range includes a DIY kit for around $800 and goes up to about $15,000 for a custom pool with extra features like a deck and water features. Building an above-ground pool is much faster than installing an inground one. The cost tends to be much lower for an above-ground pool than for an inground pool because thereโ€™s less labor involved, especially when it comes to excavation and running plumbing and electrical lines.

Installing an inground pool costs around $55,000, on average. The typical price range is between $39,000 and $70,000, depending on the size and type of pool and accessibility of the site. This project requires an experienced pool installation contractor as the project usually involves extensive excavation, plumbing, electrical, concrete, and careful grading of the concrete or pavers around the pool.

Adding a spa to a pool is worth it if you use it enough. Adding a built-in spa to an inground pool can cost between $15,000 and $20,000, on top of installing the pool. A separate hot tub costs between $5,000 and $8,000. These prices will vary depending on the hot tub's size, type, and features. Additional costs include maintenance, electricity, and plumbing.

From start to finish, building an inground pool takes anywhere from two to four months. Factors that impact time to completion include any weather delays, material delays or shortages, scheduling conflicts, and any unforeseen challenges. The project may take most of the pool season, depending on where you live. Because of this, itโ€™s a good idea to start getting estimates and finding a qualified pool company at least a year before your anticipated installation. Spring and summer is the busy season for pool contractors, which impacts their availability as projects are typically booked for several weeks if not months.
