The repairman arrived approximately on time and surveyed the problems. He called the office regarding the hot water tank. I was shocked that an ordinary hot water tank would cost that much (1650 for the tank and 230 for the other plumbing problems plus 167 in tax). I could have gone tankless for that amount. This had better be a great water tank for that kind of money and it better last a long time. He had to wait for another man to bring the tank and help carry the old one out and help put the new one in as they are quite heavy even when empty. The whole job took about 4 hours. They cleaned up all debris from the job. I called Varisty because when we first moved into the house 12 years ago the furnace blew and we had a flood down the basement at 8PM and I remember Walter came right away , was here till almost midnight and arrived the next morning to start working on fixing the furnace. They also installed my original water heater 12 years ago. So I called on them again. I didn't think that prices would have gone up that much in that amount of time and people who I tell are shocked at what I paid for a hot water tank. Maybe I was ripped off, maybe not. I don't know because I had an emergency situation on my hands and called a company that I had used in the past and trusted.

I like this company. The last time I didn't spend anything because it was covered by their warranty. They were very good and I didn't have any problems. They had originally installed the furnace. Their pricing is moderate. I will continue using them for my heating.

Everything went well. The company was very professional throughout the process.

They told us that there was a leak in system. They wanted to charge us $600 to fix it. I had some one else come and look at it and they told me that it was fine and nothing needed to be repaired.

Expansion tank of heating system went bad and flooded basement leaving gas heating system and hot water system under water. After water removal, home was without heat and hot water and needed emergent repair. Varsity Plumbing gave very high estimates for repairing or replacing the system. As comparison, a much larger company that we eventually hired for the job estimated the same repair (including gas valve) at $925 (about 40% less) and actually did the replacement of the system using comparable or better components as Varsity's estimate for $5200 (about 35% less). On a positive note, Varsity came for the service call estimate on a Saturday evening (we called on Saturday morning).

Technician (Steve) arrived on a Friday night around 9pm. The technician was professional and competent and fixed the problem. He replaced the pilot flame sensor and clean and adjusted the pilot. I was charged $189.95 for a diagnostic fee due to the emergency nature of the call. In addition, I was charged $278.33 for the parts and labor for a total of $508 including tax. I have had this work done a year and a half ago on a non-emergency basis by another company and it only cost $100.

THEY TRIED TO CHEAT ME FROM THE START. QUOTED ME $940 TO REPAIR FURNACE ON THE PRETEXT THAT THEY HAD TO ORDER A PART FOR $785. SAID I NEEDED TO GIVE THEM A $500 DEPOSIT. SEEMED HIGH BECAUSE I WANTED TO GET HEAT GOING ASAP. I DID SOME CHECKING AND PART COST LESS THAN $100. TURNS OUT THAT WASN'T THE PROBLEM ANYWAY. THEY GOT THE FURNACE WORKING BRIEFLY. BUT WHEN I CALLED THEM TO TELL THEM THE FURNACE WAS STILL NOT WORKING (AND ALREADY PAID $850) THEY SAID IT WOULD COST AN ADDITIONAL $900 TO FIX. THAT IS WHEN I WENT SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH VARSITY PLUMBING. THEY ARE QUICK, CONVIENT AND RESPONSIVE. THEY CAME ON TIME AND INSTALLED THE TOILET IN MY BATHROOM PROPERLY.

VARsITY'S CREW CAME QUICKLY TO MY SERVICE CALL. THE SERVICEMAN WAS NICE AND CLEAN. I DID NOT HAVE TO PICK UP AFTER HIM! HE DID PROMISE TO COME BACK TO DO SOME QUIRKING, BUT HE NEVER CAME. SINCE THEN MY FURNACE HAS BEEN WORKING FINE.

THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DEPENDABLE COMPANY WITH EXCELLENT WORKING EMPLOYEES. IF THEY ARE LATE FOR AN APPOINTMENT THEY ALWAYS CALL AHEAD OF TIME. THEY ALWAYS SEEM TO GET THE JOB DONE ON THE VISIT TO THE HOUSE. THE FURNACE IS RUNNING JUST GREAT.

I HAVE USED THIS COMPANY BEFORE AND THEY ARE AWESOME. THE WORKERS WERE ALWAYS ON TIME AND VERY EFFICIENT. THE WHOLE PLUMBING SYSTEM WAS WORKING LIKE IT WAS BRAND NEW.

I WAS READY TO SHOW THEM THE DOOR, ALMOST IMMEDIATELY, WHEN THEY WANTED $300 JUST TO LOOK AT THE TOILET. I STILL HAD TO CALL ANOTHER PLUMBER WHEN THE TOILET CONTINUED TO LEAK AFTER THEY SUPPOSEDLY REPAIRED IT.
