Description of Work: 08/30/11 - Heavy flooding in basement .... Called Varsity... service man cleared humidifier valve and stated that the problem was fixed.. I signed and paid for a yearly service agreement that day.. 10/19/12 - Varsity started up heat.... equipment found to be "operational." 11/17/11 - Noticed dark spots on powder room ceiling around vent. Requested Varsity check for leak. Service man said there was no leak and that the spots were from dirt.. (Service charge: $65.12. because "no leak found." 02/07/12 - Heavy flooding in basement, same area as August leak. No heat in house, Told Varsity service rep that I was leaving at the end of the week and needed immediate repair. I was told that there was extensive water damage to the existing 7 year old Rheem Burner. Recommended new burner which could be delivered the next day. Estimated cost $8,800 02/08/12 - New burner installed. Service person unable to fit humidifier in original space. 02/13/12 - Called Varsity re flooded duct hanging from basement ceiling. Two large buckets of water were drained from the duct. Service man noticed mold on dining room ceiling. Further inspection found that every vent on the first floor was surrounded by mold. 03/30/12 - 04/03/12 - Every ceiling and all insulation was completely removed from the dining room, powder room, hall, master bath, and master bedroom. All vents were treated for anti microbial decontamination to interior ducts. 04/17/12 - Another heating company (Company "B") inspected new furnace. Stated that usually both the upper and lower sections of the unit are the same width and depth. When they are not the same size they should be lined up evenly on top of one another (mine were even on one side, overhanging on the other.) The service man pointed out large gap where air was escaping below the top portion of the unit due to mismatched placement and failure to seal the unit. Also stated that that was the reason why the humidifier did not fit in the space. 07/09/12 - Extensive flooding in basement (same area under furnace as previous flooding) Varsity not available till the next day. Technician from company "B" found the water tank to be filled with "slime. It had not been cleaned out when the new pump was installed (as instructed in the installation manual.) Cause of the current problem was that a cardboard safety plug had not been removed at the time of installation. Without a functioning pump the water was leaking out of the back of the furnace and into the basement. It has taken over a year to put my home back in order. I did take Varsity to Small Claims and thought that with my receipts, pictures and written statements from Company "B" there would be no question of issuing reimbursement for the terrible service that Varsity did in my home. The court simply told me that I needed an "expert witness." If I knew how to attach pictures I would be happy to do so.

It went quite well overall
Description of Work: Varsity replaced my heating system in one day. They left NO mess at all, and were professional and courteous. I have also used them for plumbing, and although they are somewhat pricey, they do an excellent job. Varsity is very reliable and does their job well.
