Replaced a rod for fan, confusion on specific cost of rod but otherwise did a good job.

I called because I had lost electric in the house and thought there was a problem with my electrical panel. They said they would be at my house within an hour and were there on time. He assessed the problem and determined it was a PSEG issue. I was going to pay him $125 for the service call but he said no to because he felt he did not do anything. Great guy, polite and respectful. Would definitely hire him in future.

A red flag did go up during the initial call since I tried to reconfirm (based on info on Angie's List) that they provided free estimates. The guy that answered said 'yes but there is a service fee of $125 to come over' - I said I read that there was a free estimate and he said the estimate was free but the service fee was an assessment of the work to be done (Hmmm - Better Business Bureau: here's an illegal bait-and-switch Marra Electric is using). I thought they would apply the fee against any work so I kept the appointment in the 11-1 window of time. At 12;45, the same man called me to say they were running 2 hours behind and would get to me between 4;00 and 5:00 (obviously not a math major!). I said that was unacceptable as I had another appointment and, if they were running hours behind, they would have known it well before the end of the agreed-to window. He was still talking when I hung up on him. Morale of story - go with first impressions - If they are trying to pull a bait-and-switch, they are not a reputable firm. I'm surprised by the "A" ratings and, after dealing with this firm, suspect they might not be from valid customers. - Just saying!

I called Marra Electric at 2am after the power to my gas furnace went out. I was expecting to leave a message or get a call service. Instead, I directly to Daniel and he gave me an estimated time of arrival for the next day. If needed, he would've come out to me right then, but I decided the next day was fine. As promised, he called when he was on his way and beat his estimated time by close to an hour. While here he was informative and efficient and walked me through the problems. I will be using Mr. Marra and his team exclusively from here on out. They were attentive and informed and their prices are very reasonable. Most of all, I trust this person to do a good job. I would whole-heartedly recommend them to my family and friends.

I was thrilled when we called and they gave us a price right over the phone and were available the next day to perform the services. The two gentlemen (Brian & AJ) who came arrived promptly during the scheduled time. They introduced themselves and were polite, professional and friendly. They were neat and careful while working. They even vacuumed when they were finished. The fixture looks great and we would definitely use Marra Electic again! Job well done!

I was having Voltage dips which effected half my house. Danny came out on a Saturday, checked out my home's electrical panel and concluded that the problem was at the pole. He even called PSEGLI for me! While he was here he also fixed a 3 way switch that was mis-wired. 3 days later PSEGLI came and fixed the connection at the pole and all is good now. I was so impressed with Danny that I had his company come back a week later and install a whole house surge protector. Glad I finally found an electrician.

Dan and his crew were awesome!!! He came to my residence and looked at what I wanted done. The same day the estimate was emailed to me and we set up a date to get the project done. Dan offered his expertise on what he thought I should do and it came out wonderful. The day they came to my home was one of the coldest days of the year, but that did not stop them from getting the job done. I will be calling them in the future for other jobs I need done.

This non-emergency service by Marra was my 3rd contact in the last year, and they are worthy of their high rating. Their initial response time is unbelievable ( it seems that Danny answers calls mostly on the spot) and they have in the past shown up for swimming pool filter-electric and heating zone-electric service within hours of my call. They are courteous, efficient, and fairly priced--what more can you want.

He was prompt and courteous. Knew what the job entailed. Cleaned up after the job.

Dan and his employees were right on time. They were professional and most of all Honest. Dan also did work at my mother's house twice. Dan will also be coming back to my house to do more work. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Marra Electric. I would not use anyone else. The work was done less than half day by three workers they cleaned up left good job

Oh, it was so perfectly done! Dan Marra called to let me know they were running late. i agreed to wait. They laid down a tarp on my carpet. they had everything ready. They had to make a hole in the plaster wall, which they did perfectly, without any damage to the rest of the wall. They ran the new wiring efficiently and without a problem. They asked me where I wanted the light switch, and they put it exactly where I asked. The wall sconce looks like it was there, on the wall, all along. They cleaned up everything. Dan Marra charged me exactly what he had estimated the cost to be. He will be coming to install a new outlet and line in one of the rooms. They always do perfect work, and they are very professional and friendly.

Guys did an awesome job and Danny the owner was there too working and surpervisjng -?real pros will definitely be calling them again for future work!!

First of all I want to say that Dan Marra is without a doubt the best contractor I have ever hired! Dan gave me a written estimate to have my service upgraded from 100 amps to 200 amps for $2200. I did receive 2 other estimates. One at $2500 and another one at $6000 (totally ridiculous). I went with Dan, not for the reason that he was the least expensive but he seemed like a real nice and honest guy. Well I was right. He is a real nice guy and very honest. The work was to start at 9am and 2 of his electricians, Kevin and Anthony showed up at my door at 8:45am. About an hour later Dan showed up with another electrician, and they all worked together to completed the entire job in 3 hours. All of these guys were the most professional and courteous contractors I have ever meet. Not only did they change my entire service panel in the basement but also changed the entire electrical components on the outside of my house, including a new meter box and PVC piping from the top of my house to the basement. There were not extra charges, whatsoever! The final bill was exactly as the estimate of $2200. I will definitely use Dan Marra for all of my future electrical needs, and will recommend him to all of my family and friends. Sal C. Ronkonkoma, NY

Dan Marra and AJ came over on time to replace a 1912 (or so) ceiling light fixture.We thought it would be an easy switch. But the wiring was shot and not safe. Dan was honest about the condition of the wiring, and it's no longer being safe. He showed me why and explained everything to me. He then took the time to find the "beginning" of where the wiring from the fixture was so as to disconnect it and make it safe. It took a lot of "detective" work on the old fashioned wiring system. Then, after he disconnected the line, he talked with me to go over all the options to put up a new lighting fixture. He described the work involved and the cost of each option, leaving the choice up to us. He set up a date to come and put up a new fixture right then and there. Then AJ got a handheld Vac and cleaned up every little bit of debris from the job. Excellent! We now have called on Marra Electric for 3 jobs, and will continue to use only them!

The Job went very well !!!! very professional and at reasonable price. I would highly recommend them. i had added extras and Danny went out of his way to help me out while he was pressed for time.

Danny is an honest, reliable businessman. He responds quickly to inquiries and does high quality work at a fair price. He looks over the job before estimating an has a lot of experience. Both times that I used him he sent Kevin and a helper. Kevin is a very efficient and capable electrician. They are nice guys to work with and you feel confident that the job gets done correctly at a fair price. I highly recommend Marra. I have used them twice and will use them again.

I was told of Marra Electric by Angies List and also from a friend that used their services. Kevin and AJ were FABULOUS!!!!! They came to my home and checked the breakers, the oven and checked the connections. They swapped two breakers that a previous electrician had put in wrong. They were not only HONEST, but true professionals. They explained everything to me in complete detail. Unfortunately in today's world, we never know when someone is telling us the truth about an appliance or if they just want to make money. Marra Electric is COMPLETLY HONEST from start to finish and I would highly recommend them to all of my friends and family to use.
