Everything went very well.
Description of Work: Have had quite a few interactions with Babylon Bay over the years: --had a new bathroom double sink installed; skim coating of a teen's room and the bathroom painted --interior remodeling project of new french doors --removed old (30 plus years) kitchen floor & replaced with wood flooring --renovated large shed, replaced two doors & painted --installed new basement stair system --replaced outdoor concrete steps that another had made a mess of Excellent workmanship, considering this house being over 100 years old

Description of Work: We had a ceiling replaced (from ceiling tile to sheetrock) in a 120 sq foot room with recessed lighting. The crew worked well together, the project began and ended when A.J. Said it would and my ceiling looks beautiful! I have a few other projects in the house and would definitely call them again.

Description of Work: Went way over completion date.Floor tiles not in on time.The men who laid the tile floor were here sometimes to 10:30 at night. Very rarely here in the day time---very inconvenient.My baseboard heating had to be lifted which I caught the problem.My door had to cut and sash replaced.--They did tell me that as they found the problem which was unavoidable. Poor comumnication with the tile people. I have to say although the work is excellent.

We told the gentleman before the job that our tile installer would be working nights. He had no problem at the time. It seems he retroactively has an issue at this point. We aim to please and are sorry he felt inconvenienced. As he said, which is worth repeating - he is very happy with the quality of work.

Description of Work: I needed dry wall tape and splits fixed in various parts of the house. They were good and professional, results were overall very good, although i did have to finish sand several areas that were supposedly ready for priming and painting. They weren't always as punctual as I'd have liked, but they also worked with me on the amount of work to be done for the speicial, so in the end it was minor. All said and done, I would definitely use them again, and will probably get a price for an outside project to be done over the summer.

They did a great job, only charged for the time they actually worked, didn't try to pull any "fast ones". Great Guys to deal with, AJ was accomodating as he could be (I have a difficult schedule), overall service and job was great!

Service was performed as scheduled, with 2 repeat visits according to our requested schedule. The work was done to my satisfaction and we can now re-paint our kitchen ceiling. I am very happy with the results.

They hung sheetrock on the ceiling in the bathroom and in the garage. It took 2 days, 2 1/2 hours. He was very conscientious, right on time, and did great work. We had to postpone the work, and they were very cooperative. As soon as we returned from vacation, we were able to get them to come. They were in communication with us while we were gone, and it all worked out beautifully!
Description of Work: I bought a big deal for Four Hours of Drywall/Plaster Repair. Two people first came out to see what needed to be done, and then one returned to do the work.

We were looking for a contractor to replace our old sliding patio door with french doors. The opening and surrounding section of wall also had to be replaced as they were rotting. We found Babylon Bay Construction on Angie's List, so we gave them a call. A.J. (the owner of the company) came and gave us a very reasonable estimate in writing. We were very impressed with his professionalism and his promise to " do the job right". We decided to hire him and his crew. Boy, are we glad we did! They showed up on time, worked very quickly and efficiently, and even finished the job before they said they would. They did a beautiful installation. They even hauled all the old materials away. We're planning to have them come back to do more work on the house. Great job, guys!

Had 4 quotes for this work with Babylon Construction being the 2nd lowest. Went with them as they came highly recommend. Job was done in a very timely fashion, within budget and it looks great.

Thank god we found A.J. and Babylon Bay. They got our demolition done fast. We waited a few days and had place dry out and then we put floors and sheetrock back. A very nice gentleman the boss and the crew. Nice work too. We called them because we know of the name and have seen them around doing work. Also they did a siding job on my block that came out nicely. So I called them. I am not dissapointed
Description of Work: Storm damage from hurricane sandy. We had 4 feet of water in house and it was terrible. We lost almost everything. Thanks to flood insurance we got house fixed already.
